    Not only did this company butcher my home with their awful gutter install years ago, but the gutters have failed, and water collects and spills over, and now the fascia board they cut into has rotted and needs replacing. When I contacted them, they sent an inexperienced person out, charged me $95 dollars, acknowledged the gutter is failing, and told me that replacing the fascia is something they can't do. When I had a friend take a look, they agreed "This is just awful work." I'll be cutting and pasting this to all to their NorCal locations, too. These people are ruining homes, creating huge structural problems. and charging thousands for it! (Note: the 800-749-4566 says it connects you to LeafFilter "North" even though the main company address is listed in Ohio--see pic).

    Gutter installation

    Had gutters installed & they were twisted , dangling 2 weeks later due to snow . I was told they can handle snow, they can not! They were installed in November 2022 & it is September 2023 , still waiting for it to be fixed! Very poor customer service!! If I can grove negative stars I would!

    Leaf Filter supposed to fit on gutter outside & inside edge. It was installed hereby attaching inside edge to roof line.

    Terrible customer service by this regional operation of this rising visibility of this national product. Sales presentation for this product showed how this product would fit onto my existing gutters. I was told that they would "clean gutter downspouts, seal all joints with 50 year sealant, re-align all gutters as needed." The product was not installed as indicated as shown during the sales presentation. I made the point clear to the installers who tried to convince me it had to be installed that way. I immediately called the sales rep, who said I would hear from their install supervisor. Never got a call back. After a week and a half I called multiple times & got referred to another member of their local team. I had two different appointments that no one showed for & no call to say no one would come. Third attempt & the lead installer did come & indicated they had had issues with the particular installers & did find some issues, but told me the system needed to be installed as done because my gutters were hung low. He advised I would hear from the install supervisor with how the would correct the issues. A week of no call backs, I found that when I called people were in meetings & would call back. This product does come with a limited lifetime warranty, so I called the national customer service number to report my issues. I got a call back from the local team the next day & an appointment was made to have work done. No one showed up during the scheduled window & no call to say no one was coming. Called back to the national customer service to register my complaints. More conversations with the local team & had another appointment scheduled for today. No one has shown up & no call. Horrible customer service experience with this organization. Buyer beware.

    My worst home improvement experience EVER! I would have rated it a minus if possible.. Anyhow i am typically a easy person to work with and I trust a company or individual to do the job I am paying for them to do. Since i travel weekly, I was not there to oversee the work that was being done with the LeafFilter product and just expected that it would be done correctly. I should know better than that and after spending $6500.00 it is going to even cost me more for the repairs due to the damage they did to my gutters. The installers came out 5 times and still didn't do it right and what i mean by right is where the gutter protectors actually covered the top of the gutters and kept the debris out. The original installer took off the old gutter guard and stuffed it in the gutter with all the leaves that were supposed to be cleaned out first versus cleaning the gutters and throwing away the existing gutter guard along with the leaves. In some areas they just cut out half of the previous gutter guard which was made out of wire and now it is impossible to even clean the gutters out by hand. I cut my hand up just trying to reach down into the gutter to pull out a piece of debris. The next installers bent the gutter straps down into the gutters so that the only thing holding the gutters in place were the nails that were used to hold the gutters against the fascia boards. When the installers first came out, there were only 2 of my 15 sections of gutter that had overflow, after the install 8 sections had overflow. They did not even clean out the downspouts and why would they, they took all the original gutter guards and stuffed them in the gutter to clog up the system even more. They also broke 4 tile and somehow this was never mentioned to me. I wonder what they think, do they think that someone who is 56 years old doesn't climb on a roof or walk up a ladder? The second installation involved them removing the original installed product because it was not even under the tile on the back side at the roof so the LeafFilter product was actually a funnel directing any debris that came down off the roof into the gutter itself. Brilliant!!! I called and they sent out another crew. Upon coming home Again, if found the product was put in incorrectly and there were huge areas that didn't have the LeafFilter even in place so once again Debris could get in the gutter unaffected and plug up the system. I took videos of water roaring over my gutters as well as many pictures of the fiasco. I sent them into the manager and he said it was a mess and said he would get someone out to fix this in his words "un-excuseable" job performance. He said he would make it good and said that he would get someone out the following Monday. Monday came and went. I called and was told someone would be out that following Friday.. And you guessed it, no show Charlie. I finally said i want this stuff removed and my money back. 2 weeks later a guy showed up and respectfully took off the LeafFilter product finding again garbage and debris in my gutter that should have been removed the previous 4 visits but hadn't been. I asked him about fixing the gutter straps that had been bent down in the gutter and he said he couldn't and that he didn't have the proper straps to replace those that had been bent down into the gutter. There were a couple places that he tried to bend the straps back in place but now as you look down my gutter it looks as crooked as a snake from an overhead view. And as i mentioned before an overwhelming majority of the gutter straps are no longer functional and i will have to pay someone to come out and TRY to put new ones in on my dollar. I plan on sharing my videos and pics to all those i can to help them avoid the many issues and grief I have experienced. My advice to you is DO NOT use this product. Until they have proper trained staff and people who actually care about doing a good job you are better off just paying someone to come out annually and clean your gutters. I figured that the cost of the LeafFilter product will cover the cleaning my gutters for 32 years of annual gutter cleaning. Anyhow do not say you were warned because you will just be throwing your HARD earned money down the gutter unless they have worked on the system and then you may be ok because the downspouts will be clogged.
