Good nachos. Right amount of cheese and meat(additional). They serve food pretty late which is convenient :)

Poor shisha quality: cheap gear and disgusting self-inflammatory coal with strong sulphur scent. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Cozy chill place. Great atmosphere, very low key and relaxing. Teas are delicious sparkling with lots of flavour. Would definitely be back!

Best Hummus In Town !!! Be sure to order the "roasted red pepper" for a sensational taste bud explosion.

It's like I inhaled a piece of Bubblicious Watermelon. Yep, inhaled-it was in smoke form... with no…read moretobacco. That works just fine for me, I'm not sure I could've had much more than a puff or two of it otherwise. It was my first sheesha experience. I was also the first one there. Cafe Med was busy and I was too afraid to go in by myself. Thank the good Yelp gods for Sarah Louise! She saved me from looking like a creep peeking in the windows for too long. The folks at Cafe Med are friendly people. Our server talked us into some Moroccan Madness (tea) while we waited for the rest of our peeps to arrive. We also snacked on some red pepper hummus and rolled up grape vine leaves (if you've never had them, they're comparable to cabbage rolls in concept... just a different flavour to them). You might also want to try the garlic pizza. As far as sheesha bars go, I have nothing else to compare this one to! So it's got three stars in my books. Mostly because the guy serving our table offered to fill our tea pots up with more hot water, took the pots away and didn't return with them until we inquired about them again. And also because, even though it's a spot to come smoke things, there were times the haze built up enough to burn my eyes for a moment or two. At any rate, the food was pretty cheap, the pipes were just over $10 each and they kept bringing new coals around. From what I gathered, not dropping ashes into the pipe is a bit of an art that Cafe Med has mastered. Overall, a positive experience!

Why 5 stars? Because we got exactly what we needed…read more --- --- --- We landed in Calgary with a plan to hop in the rental car and head straight to Banff. But our hunger got the best of us, so we ended up stopping in town for lunch across the street from Element Cafe. Our next mission was to get caffeine and a little something sweet to finish off lunch. Element Cafe achieved both of these goals. I ordered an Americano and it did the trick. But I really enjoyed the Birthday Cake cookie. The cookies caught my eye because they looked a lot like the mountains we were about to see in Banff: they had many ridges and depth to them. The guy working in here even offered to heat them up for us before I could ask, so he really understood the keys to our heart. My only piece of feedback would be: when you heat the cookies up, don't be shy! Push that dough to the limit and let your cookies be enjoyed the way God intended: like they just came out of the oven. With that being said, the guy was the picture of a nice Canadian. Don't let his slightly under heating on this day shape how you view him as a fellow human. He was great, as were his cookies and his coffees.
