It…read morewas so overcooked I could not even get a fork into it and could not break it with a piece of pita. I left almost all of it on the table and did not eat it. They also use the dreadful thin wood knives and forks. The fork would not even pierce a pepper. I had to shovel the salad into my mouth. I deliberately did not bring this up until after I paid so they would not accuse of wanting a free meal, nor did I after I paid. What I got was no response at all when I told them that the beef in the kebab was so overcooked that it was also impossible to chew. Although I did not tell them this, it was dry like beef flavoured sawdust held together with glue. The food was slopped into the container when it was brought to my table. They were not the least bit interested in what I had to say. Talk about rude. AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT LIKE THE PLAGUE. DREADFUL MIDDLE EASTERN FOOD. The order consisted of: [1] donair poutine, [2] donair wrap, [3] falafel wrap, and [4] beef shawarma platter. First off, Falafel King is very liberal with the amount of donair they layered on both the poutine and the wrap - they were loaded with so much delicious donair that it puts my Bay Area-local restaurants to shame. And it was good, like so tasty. For the poutine, the gravy was just right - it was neither overly watery or viscous.. The yellow potatoes used in the poutine were fried on demand, so they came out extra crispy. The beef shawarma platter was also pretty loaded with delicious meat, rice, veggies, and large-sized pita (the same ones used to make the wraps). To top it off, the order came with a free side of Baklava. The hot sauce used in the wraps had some real heat to it, even though it wasn't slathered on. Service was fast, and the two gentlemen working the counter were very courteous. As for the layout of the restaurant, it seemed clean - but we did not linger given the order was takeout.
