However, SkipTheDishes refused to issue any refund, leaving me with no recourse. SkipTheDishes puts customers at a serious disadvantage -- they block direct communication with restaurants and act as the sole gatekeeper for dispute resolution, even when the restaurant admits fault. Skip claims responsibility only for delivery, yet controls the entire transaction and refuses to take accountability. This is fundamentally unfair, and customers should not lose their consumer rights just because they use a delivery app. People need to give up "the easy way" and visit restaurants in person before ordering through third-party apps if they are not familiar with the place. Relying solely on apps without knowing the restaurant can lead to disappointing and even unsafe experiences. People need to think twice before using these platforms. Without clear legal protections and accountability, consumers risk losing money and having no effective recourse when problems arise. Because of this, I am currently taking SkipTheDishes to Small Claims Court to seek redress for my case. Until provincial governments create clear laws defining the responsibilities of delivery platforms, restaurants, and consumers -- including the right to resolve issues directly with restaurants -- customers will remain vulnerable while companies like Skip continue to profit without proper accountability.

I was told that it would be a 15-minute wait, no problem, I walked around the plaza outside twice, then came back in. I received my order, and the size of the chicken strips were literally the size of bananas, oh yeah! They were huge, 3-4 inches longer than a can of pop, so I had some leftovers to deal with. The chicken strips were hot, crunchy and tasty. The Kool-Aid man would agree with my assessment, oh yeah! I didn't care for the dipping sauce, but the only thing that would have complement these chicken strips would have been blackened ranch dip. I have had Fritou at other locations before, and had always been disappointed, but Fritou Chicken in Skyview is the exception, oh yeah!
