It's fun for kids. The show is OK, there is some humor, and the food is just OK. The kids love it though (two boys, aged 6).

The Do Or Die Mystery Dinner Theater is so much fun and a great value. We decided to try it out,…read morebecause I found an Amazon Local deal and we enjoy this type of theater. They put this on at the Grand Historic Venue every last Saturday of the month. The owner (CJ) makes sure to explain everything that goes on and that any special needs for guests are taken care of. Compared to other mystery dinners I have experienced, this was more interactive, because you participate in the show - Great, if you are a super-sleuth. If you are, then you are really going to enjoy this show. Also, I don't go to these for the food, but the food at this one was really good and very well presented. There are a few things to remember if you are planning to experience this: 1.) Cocktails - Bring cash, because the bar does not accept credit cards. Soft drinks are complimentary, but they are only free during the dinner service; 2.) Overnight Accommodations - If you are staying in town for the night of the show, the Lord Baltimore, Sheraton and Monaco Hotels are a "super-short" walk away. There is an Embassy Suites next door, but these other options are available if you can't get a room there, and; 3.) Parking - There are garages either across the street of a short walk away, so there should be no worries about finding somewhere to park.

They don't recommend for kids/teens, because people are joking and talking ish and some of the improv could take a spicy turn at any moment. The chef and the actors walk around to the tables and introduce themselves. People come here to let out a laugh and unwind. The Food: Delicious! The crab cake sandwich was big/fresh all lumps with crispy hot fries that did not disappoint. The package comes with several options, from homestyle meat loaf to Mediterranean salad with chicken stuffed pita that my friend said was really good. You get 2 courses and a non-alcohol beverage. Dessert was good, a dark fudge cake with strawberries and whipped cream, enjoyable. The Drinks: The 2 martini's I had weren't blended well. I would stick with wine or something like a rum & coke. The Storyline: Creative and funny, about a dating show where the two contestants need to stay together for 3 years to get the million-dollar jackpot. Only issue, there's a love triangle. So, you can imagine who all had motives to secure the bag. They bring the audience into the story with question prompts and even had me in the hot seat for questioning by a detective. So hilarious! Looking for something different to do and you feel like meeting people over good food and theater, THIS IS IT!

We saw the Valentines Cabaret. Great singers! Fun show! Loved it. The venue was nice (Leesburg Brewing Company) and made for an intimate show. Service there was good. But the food was hit or miss. (It did not take away from the show.) My only negative comment is that the act is continuous, and in such a small venue if you have to ... um... "go", it can be problematic. I was taught to never get up during a performance, to wait for a break in the show... there really was only intermission ( and I didn't have to go then! ). And if was to try to make a break for it, the only path without asking people to push in their chairs would have been right across the area where they were performing (one wants to call it a stage, but there wasn't an actual stage), so I would have been walking right through them! HOW RUDE. Luckily, I made it. They were awesome but they came back out for the curtain call I was like, "oh God please don't let them sing another song!" LOL! Anyway - all that is to say that you should make use of the time you get at intermission.

Usually you feel so rushed at these dinner/shows but we had plenty of time. The food was very good and there were choices that should have made everyone happy. I cannot say enough good things about this performance!! We absolutely enjoyed it. None of us had ever been to a Murder Mystery before so we were ready for something new! The 2 Cast members were amazing! They kept us entertained and laughing the entire time! At the intermission, they have coffee/tea and desert at the same time. We appreciated this because you're always too full to eat desert with dinner but this gave everyone plenty of time to be ready for the delightful carrot cake they provided. The 2 Stars also stood around after the event to talk to everyone and take pictures! I highly, highly recommend this event! What made it even more special was that I was able to take my 15-year-old also!

I was told that my party would be seated on the floor to accommodate my guess who walk with 2 canes and cannot walk up steps. We were left standing in the middle of the floor with others walking to their seats until we asked the Manage for somewhere for our party to sit. We told the manager that everyone was starting to eat and he told us that they weren't. My daughter explained to him that people are taking their plates to the food bar. He began going back and forwardth with my daughter. He clearly need better training. We were eventually seated with no apology from the manager. The food was tasteless. The actors were excellent along with the waiter Jaylen. We have been to this location about 10 years ago and it was wonderful! When I found out my husband had never been to one and that there was one in Hanover, I decided it was an experience he simply had to have before turning 40. So about two weeks ago, we did it. I might be 25-ish years older than the last time I went to Medieval Times, but it's still a very good time. A jousting show, cheering, fun souvenirs, surprisingly decent food, and just a fun time! You may know that they don't do utensils (you're in medieval times now, after all), so everything has to be able to be eaten with your hands. The soup is served in a cup with a handle, but the rest are all things that are eaten with your hands: corn on the cob, roast chicken, a roast potato wedge, garlic bread, and an eclair for dessert. The show was still fun, and it was such a great atmosphere - everyone got so into it, cheering, waving flags, shouting... Is it cheesy and kitschy? Yes. But I still think it's a fun time! Nostalgic, too!

The quality of service that we had this time was not good! We found it obnoxiously loud. Like a concert. So loud that you can talk to the person next to you. While the show is good, it is entertaining with some reason actting and some bad actting, the show itself remains EXACTLY the same. It is the exact same script! So, it is like watching the same movie on repeat. It is the kind of place that you only need to go to once in your life. That's it. Done I think we are done. We will not return.

My Line Sisters and I wanted to come up with a unique way to celebrate our anniversary. We had done the usual dinner and movie, sip & paint, wine tastings, and restaurant hopping. To commemorate this year, we decided to go with TMMC and it was the best choice we could have made. We booked a private event with them. We had the opportunity to select our mystery based on the number of participants. We opted to do a one actor mystery centering around a masquerade ball. The actor arrived early to our private venue with such a fun and positive attitude. He took the time to understand our dynamics which was helpful in designating who would play which roles. We were provided props that included costumes and information about the role we were chosen to play. Please note, we are a chatty, free spirited group of ladies that love to fellowship. The actor managed to go with the flow and keep us somewhat focused and on mission...which was to solve the murder. We had a five-star good time. We all left with plans to do it again. If you want to do something outside the box with a get together of friends, colleagues, or family, I highly recommend TMMC. I wish I could show pics of the fun we had. Happy murder solving!

While scouring for a team building event for work, we decided to reach out to this company. Their website is forthcoming with a ton of information, but they were helpful on the backend of things. Purchasing tickets was easy, and it's great that tickets were available until the day of the event. I have never been to one of these things before but was kind of exciting. I have heard that it can be cheesy or campy, but I'm up for the camp. Who doesn't love dinner and a show? We had a large group, around 40 people or so and with prior warning they were able to make it work where our whole group sat in a designated area. That also kind of played into the whole way this played out. Before you come here they will send you an email with information on how to proceed. You will get confirmation numbers after you select your meal. Chicken, fish, or vegetarian are your choices. They also tell you that the actors will be intermingled throughout the crowd. Having four tables taken up by your group cuts down on who the actors are and helps you out in the end. The show is entertaining. I laughed a few times to the point where I had heads turn my way. The actors were spot on for their script and at the end of each act, which you should pay attention to, you are given a QR code to go through the clues. As the show is going on you are treated to a meal. But it is not obviously the best selection of food. As this is being hosted at a hotel, you are eating hotel food that you might find if you attended a banquet at said hotel. It fits the bill for dinner and a movie, but otherwise, nothing to write home about. Back to the show portion. I forgot to mention that you have a mingling session at the start. You are encouraged to go around the room and network to see if you can get any information on who you might think are the actors before you really know they are an actor. At the end, you get to write down your answers to see if you are right. You most likely will be right, but a majority of the room will probably be right as well. The thing I didn't like about it was that even though you might have the right answer, you most likely will not get picked as the winner at the end of the night. You will most definitely see that the winner will have been sitting at the table with the 'whodunnit' all along. It isn't that bad of a night. It is a great time to be had. You are paying for dinner and a show and that they deliver on. The actors are hilarious, and when they need to attend to business they attend to business. We had one person who needed a vegan option and they pulled through for us at the last minute. I really appreciated that.
