A to Z Veterinary Clinic

In my life as a pet owner I have never EVER been more disappointed in a veterinary clinic staff. I…read morecalled to see if I could get my Cuban False Chameleon in to see what was going on with her. I explained what was going on (or tried to...was cut off by the person in the phone) when she just stated "we don't have a doctor here today or tomorrow." This was a lizard that I got FROM THEM that was rehabilitated by Dr Todia. You would think they would take an interest. I asked the girl what I was supposed to do? She gave me no suggestions other than call around. To my knowledge, Dr Todia is the only Dr that cares for reptiles in the area. I asked if they could simply make a call to the Dr, explain the situation and maybe call in some meds to try and save her. Her only response was "the doctor would have to be here and we don't have a doctor here." She then started talking to other people and just ignored me while I was still in the phone. She talked to one client and asked if they were checking in and then apparently started chuckling it up with a co-worker and telling her "I told him we didn't have a doctor." She then just hung up on me. Why do I go there and entrust my pets to them if I can't get treatment when we need it most? If they can't help in emergencies, then it just makes them a place to get checkups and shots. Very VERY unprofessional and certainly not very compassionate. Update: I wanted to update my review from yesterday. I received a personal text from Dr. Todia who went above and beyond after finding out about my experience yesterday. She reached out to me while she was out of town to find out how she could help my pet. This is a big deal to me. She mentioned that she would call and inform her tech of what needed to be done so that my pet could be treated. While my experience with staff was very unpleasant yesterday, Dr. Todia (who has always been awesome) redeemed our relationship, and I am very grateful. Don't let one bad experience with staff determine whether or not you use A to Z.

Excellent Animal Clinic. I picked this place because when I needed to get my new feral kitten…read morechecked, they were the only place where I could get in without waiting 1-2 weeks. It was the best decision I ever made. The front staff are great and so are the vet techs and the veterinarians. My kitten has had multiple problems in his younger months where I needed to take him to the vet as an emergency. One problem was with his shots, and the other time he swallowed some ribbon and stopped eating for 5 days. Not only did the vet see my kitten immediately every time, they talked me through what was happening, what I needed to do, and negative signs to look out for. They really cared for the safety and well-being of my cat, and also for my OWN well-being! I have come in there multiple times stressed, scared, and clueless as to what to do about a problem my kitten was having, and they always helped me understand and make me feel a little calmer because I knew they really cared about my cats life. They ALWAYS call me back a couple of days after I bring Permian in to make sure he is doing okay (from a shot, getting fixed, or checking about the ribbon problem). The lady at the front desk called me to make sure the ribbon problem was taken care of and she remembered my kitten and was so glad to hear he was okay. The place is very cute as well because they have cats that live there and just walk around like they own the place. It drives my kitten nuts, but its the cutest thing. You can tell that they all really care about animals and they take their "patients" to heart. We are planning to move to Odessa, but I will drive the distance...we will NOT change vets. Its hard to find an animal clinic that you can truly trust, and I am glad that I found one.

I've taken my dog Bella about 3 times to this location in the past 2 years. Yes they charge an arm…read moreand a leg but guess what! My doggy is still alive till this day. Also be for real people you go to a clinic or urgent care VRS a hospital YOU ARE GONNA GET CHARGED MORE AT THE HOSPITAL! And there's so many programs to apply for to help get the bill paid. We just went a couple days ago for a pitbull attack on her neck, they cleaned her up and sent us home. I freaked out with the swelling and brought her back in for another re-evaluation I didn't care about the cost just wanted my dear family member safe. They actually came out to the waiting room and reassured me she's ok and gave me plenty of great advice! We didn't even have to go in a room and wait or get charged another fee, which I appreciate so very much. The front desk lady explained every possible detail about payment (first visit) the nurses or technicians were so nice to Bella and even accommodated her cause she's afraid of men and sent a women doc in no time! I truly trust this place with my whole heart and with my fur child always. Everyone is so nice, friendly, reassuring and lovely here! Did I mention I took her first at 5am? You'd think there would be cranky grumpy rude people but NOPE professionalism always! No matter the time or day I take her. This place is great, if you're broke go to your regular vet and risk waiting 5 hrs to get seen with no proper equipment. But again like I said, there's plenty of payment options offered it's an emergency hospital open 24 hours! I used to live in Odessa and risked traveling 30 mins to midland to get her seen 2 years ago, I promise this facility is my go to now, cost doesn't matter to me when trying to save a life. Did I mention them even helping me out of the car cause I rushed over no leash? They helped me leash her up when I was already shaking and hysterical but catered to both of us everytime! I will forever go to this place I trust them with her life always. Also no one is perfect, yes there will be misdiagnoses or deaths but as a human that happens everyday at a regular hospital too!!! If it's their time and god has called them back why take it out on the facility and people there? They are trained and licensed, effective efficient and knowledgeable! Even if they came back with bad news I know in my heart they tried everything in their power and knowledge. Shout out to all the workers from the front desk to back of house! Love this place and so greatfull they have saved my fur baby not once but twice!!! Forgot to say I was blowing up their front desk all times of the day and they talked to me with respect and gladly took my concerns into consideration instead of brushing me off, they truly care here and not just about the fur babies about the owners too! I have bad anxiety and not once did they ever make me feel like a nuisance or bother. Great place great people, I'll forever come to this location over any other!!! One last thing each time I called after getting seen the first time they knew exactly who the patient was and the situation despite Bella being a very very common dog name! No mix ups, and no confusion this place rocks!!

Since I am not a veterinarian, I called the clinic for guidance. They asked several questions--such as whether he was eating and using the bathroom--and after I answered, they scheduled a morning appointment. I took time off work to bring him in. At the appointment, I explained that Niko was experiencing neck pain, was hunched over, and was having difficulty walking and breathing. The clinic performed X-rays and bloodwork. After about 45 minutes, I was told that he had backed-up gas. I specifically asked the doctor about Niko's neck pain and difficulty walking, but he said he was focused on Niko's stomach. I took Niko home and tried to gently rub him to identify the source of his pain. It was clear the pain was coming from his neck. After doing my own research, I suspected he might have IVDD. The following morning at 10:30 a.m., I contacted Baze Vet Clinic again. I was told the doctor would call me back, but no one ever did. When I called again, I was told the doctor was too busy. By the time I got home, Niko had become completely paralyzed. I rushed him back to the clinic, only to be told they couldn't do anything for him. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend not wasting your time or money at Baze Vet Clinic. Niko ended passing away the following day!

DO NOT GO HERE! This…read moredeserves a 0-star. I have an outdoor cat I had rescued & when I came in to inquire over her getting spayed/get her first shots, I had explicitly requested she be kept for a few days after surgery. I even offered to supply my own cat food for her. She had a litter of kittens 12 weeks prior & had been hounded by 3 additional stray/abandoned kittens that were pestering her for milk in addition to her own litter. The days of 2025's summer have been hot & I did not want her stress-tested more than once after my attempt to do the right thing. She's an adorable, sweet girl that I had built a special bond with after rescuing her from an empty/derelict trash can & had been starving to death for days. She was obviously not prone to being caged nor being brought into a vet. I knew I had just 1 shot at getting her taken care of. All the ladies & the manager in the front had agreed a week prior to keep her for a few days so that everything would be done at once, traumatize her less & allow her to heal up before returning home. I arduously managed to cage her that morning & bring her in. I was amidst verbally confirming everything in the office upon dropoff when the manager decided to change her mind, calling her "feral" & unmanageable (she hadn't even looked at her yet) & would need to leave the same day. (Feral cats don't come when called on command so she was obviously acting highly inappropriate with a bias against my cat...) Not only did the manager end up lying to me with a reneged agreement, they put me in a tough spot of normally rejecting inappropriate business practices in lieu of not traumatizing my cat further in a worthless waste of trust & time spent. I felt forced & reluctantly left her there for the procedure. I returned home to research the clinic only to find it one of THE worst veterinary businesses in all of Midland via Yelp. When returning for pickup, the lady at the front quietly pushed paperwork to me, refusing to discuss the details of her operation or small talk niceties. I had spent that entire day mortified & worried for her safety as it is to add additional insult to their injuries, charging me nearly $800 for the 'work.' That is $500 more than the average cost. Now, I am completely riddled with worry that their tawdry business ethics & bigoted behavior translates into shoddy surgery so I will have to painfully strategize another visit to a better, more appropriately researched veterinarian establishment for a follow up to ensure they didn't butcher my cat like they murdered my wallet. I told them I would not be taking her litter there for neuter/spaying & would not be returning. Uncaringly, they snickered on my way out the door. This is the most unprofessional, inappropriate extortion I have ever experienced & you would be forewarned to stay clear of this sketchy hole in a once-begotten strip mall. STAY AWAY.
