In my life as a pet owner I have never EVER been more disappointed in a veterinary clinic staff. I…read morecalled to see if I could get my Cuban False Chameleon in to see what was going on with her. I explained what was going on (or tried to...was cut off by the person in the phone) when she just stated "we don't have a doctor here today or tomorrow." This was a lizard that I got FROM THEM that was rehabilitated by Dr Todia. You would think they would take an interest. I asked the girl what I was supposed to do? She gave me no suggestions other than call around. To my knowledge, Dr Todia is the only Dr that cares for reptiles in the area. I asked if they could simply make a call to the Dr, explain the situation and maybe call in some meds to try and save her. Her only response was "the doctor would have to be here and we don't have a doctor here." She then started talking to other people and just ignored me while I was still in the phone. She talked to one client and asked if they were checking in and then apparently started chuckling it up with a co-worker and telling her "I told him we didn't have a doctor." She then just hung up on me. Why do I go there and entrust my pets to them if I can't get treatment when we need it most? If they can't help in emergencies, then it just makes them a place to get checkups and shots. Very VERY unprofessional and certainly not very compassionate. Update: I wanted to update my review from yesterday. I received a personal text from Dr. Todia who went above and beyond after finding out about my experience yesterday. She reached out to me while she was out of town to find out how she could help my pet. This is a big deal to me. She mentioned that she would call and inform her tech of what needed to be done so that my pet could be treated. While my experience with staff was very unpleasant yesterday, Dr. Todia (who has always been awesome) redeemed our relationship, and I am very grateful. Don't let one bad experience with staff determine whether or not you use A to Z.

There were charges for technician fee and disposal fee for the stuff from cleaning dogs ear. I asked how do I know this stuff even occurred though because you took my dog to another room. They just stated sorry we have to apply a technician fee because mostly always they have to hold the dog. The vet couldn't express how well mannered my dog was while she was cleaning her ear and checking her. And I would have done a deep cleaning myself on her ear if I had been told before the charge associated with that and the fee of throwing stuff away. I unfortunately will not be able to even return probably for my follow up because of the cost. I hate this so much because I have always really liked them and Dr. Miller for years. They actually have a picture of my grand dog in the lobby from a contest many years ago where she ended up being featured in their calendar. Vet I would recommend for sure but absolutely not the pricing you will be charged. It's so sad when you can no longer afford the great care they provide.

Animal Clinic and Hospital…read more I went in to Animal Clinic and Hospital on Andrews on a Friday to get all three of my dogs shots. I asked to also get the rattlesnake shot. When I made the appointment they said no problem. When I get there the vet tells me I can't get their regular shots and the rattlesnake shot on the same day. It's not convenient, but I felt the vet had my dogs well being in mind. No problem, the vet said come back Monday and you don't even need an appointment. I pre paid for the shots and came back the following Monday. When I get there they tell me that I did pre pay for the shots, but there is also a $32.98 technician charge per dog and a $12.50 medical waste charge per dog. Can you believe that, $135 to give three shots I had already paid $100 for. I am definitely looking for a new vet.

During a family road trip, as we were leaving Lake Colorado State Park, we noticed our 3-week-old Maine Coon kitten, Rocky, was lethargic and not as responsive as usual. Our brother-in-law found this vet while we were driving, and we all stopped. My husband took Rocky and his mama in, and the staff took them back right away. A few minutes later, they came out and informed us that Rocky was stable and doing well. There weren't any promises, but the fact that they were able to stabilize him and said he was doing good meant a lot to us. Highly recommend their compassionate and quick care.

I contacted Baze Vet Clinic regarding my French bulldog, Niko, who was in obvious pain. Initially,…read moreI thought his discomfort might be caused by a dog bone. Since I am not a veterinarian, I called the clinic for guidance. They asked several questions--such as whether he was eating and using the bathroom--and after I answered, they scheduled a morning appointment. I took time off work to bring him in. At the appointment, I explained that Niko was experiencing neck pain, was hunched over, and was having difficulty walking and breathing. The clinic performed X-rays and bloodwork. After about 45 minutes, I was told that he had backed-up gas. I specifically asked the doctor about Niko's neck pain and difficulty walking, but he said he was focused on Niko's stomach. I took Niko home and tried to gently rub him to identify the source of his pain. It was clear the pain was coming from his neck. After doing my own research, I suspected he might have IVDD. The following morning at 10:30 a.m., I contacted Baze Vet Clinic again. I was told the doctor would call me back, but no one ever did. When I called again, I was told the doctor was too busy. By the time I got home, Niko had become completely paralyzed. I rushed him back to the clinic, only to be told they couldn't do anything for him. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend not wasting your time or money at Baze Vet Clinic. Niko ended passing away the following day!

Absolutely unacceptable level of negligence. In under 30 minutes, this vet clinic made three…read moreserious mistakes that could have killed my dog. First, they administered two vaccinations that he wasn't due for until 2027--even though his records clearly showed that right in front of them. They also gave him a rabies vaccination two years in a row, despite it being a 3-year vaccine. After I caught those mistakes and voiced my concern, they swapped technicians and proceeded to give him his ProHeart injection--only to pull me into a room afterward and tell me they had given him four times the proper dose. They didn't even know if it was lethal and were waiting to hear back from poison control. Let that sink in: they overdosed my 9.4 lb dog with nearly five times the amount he was supposed to receive (0.94 ml instead of 0.2 ml), and had the nerve to still charge me $269 for services that should have been declined in the first place. Thank God my dog survived--but the level of incompetence and disregard for safety here is beyond alarming. It genuinely feels like they were trying to run up the bill without caring what happened to my pet. If even one person had been doing their job properly, these mistakes could have been caught before they snowballed. This kind of gross negligence is exactly why people sue. Pet owners, be warned--your animal's life is not safe in their hands.

DO NOT GO HERE! This…read moredeserves a 0-star. I have an outdoor cat I had rescued & when I came in to inquire over her getting spayed/get her first shots, I had explicitly requested she be kept for a few days after surgery. I even offered to supply my own cat food for her. She had a litter of kittens 12 weeks prior & had been hounded by 3 additional stray/abandoned kittens that were pestering her for milk in addition to her own litter. The days of 2025's summer have been hot & I did not want her stress-tested more than once after my attempt to do the right thing. She's an adorable, sweet girl that I had built a special bond with after rescuing her from an empty/derelict trash can & had been starving to death for days. She was obviously not prone to being caged nor being brought into a vet. I knew I had just 1 shot at getting her taken care of. All the ladies & the manager in the front had agreed a week prior to keep her for a few days so that everything would be done at once, traumatize her less & allow her to heal up before returning home. I arduously managed to cage her that morning & bring her in. I was amidst verbally confirming everything in the office upon dropoff when the manager decided to change her mind, calling her "feral" & unmanageable (she hadn't even looked at her yet) & would need to leave the same day. (Feral cats don't come when called on command so she was obviously acting highly inappropriate with a bias against my cat...) Not only did the manager end up lying to me with a reneged agreement, they put me in a tough spot of normally rejecting inappropriate business practices in lieu of not traumatizing my cat further in a worthless waste of trust & time spent. I felt forced & reluctantly left her there for the procedure. I returned home to research the clinic only to find it one of THE worst veterinary businesses in all of Midland via Yelp. When returning for pickup, the lady at the front quietly pushed paperwork to me, refusing to discuss the details of her operation or small talk niceties. I had spent that entire day mortified & worried for her safety as it is to add additional insult to their injuries, charging me nearly $800 for the 'work.' That is $500 more than the average cost. Now, I am completely riddled with worry that their tawdry business ethics & bigoted behavior translates into shoddy surgery so I will have to painfully strategize another visit to a better, more appropriately researched veterinarian establishment for a follow up to ensure they didn't butcher my cat like they murdered my wallet. I told them I would not be taking her litter there for neuter/spaying & would not be returning. Uncaringly, they snickered on my way out the door. This is the most unprofessional, inappropriate extortion I have ever experienced & you would be forewarned to stay clear of this sketchy hole in a once-begotten strip mall. STAY AWAY.
