Photos of my dogs horrible experience in the comments. I took my dog Duke in for a last minute grooming session Thursday. When I went to pick him up, I immediately noticed his eye was bulging red and looked horrible. I asked what happened and started inspecting him and was told "oh yeah I noticed his eye is a little red but he probably just got some hair in it". When I asked her if he was maybe with other dogs and got scratched she said he was just with her personal dog but nothing happened. She proceeded to ask me if he usually scratched his eyes with his paws or if maybe it was already red when I took him in. I told her there was no way he was like that before. She said she hadn't noticed since his hair was so long when I brought him in. Then also began to tell me since he already had a vet appointment the next day, to let her know what they said and she'd help with bills. But I told her not to worry about that but I'd let her know what they say.
Today I receive a call from my vet saying Duke has blunt force trama to his left eye and that it was definitely not caused by shampoo or hair in the eye. So of course I call Kimberly to let her know. When I call to tell her what my vet has told me and ask if there was anything she noticed since something that bad must have happened while she was around. She said no there was no way that he could have blunt trama and that when she got him from the bath onto her grooming table, his eye was already like that. When I asked why I was not told about that the day before she began being defensive and saying that she did tell me but I was not paying attention. Also, she begins yelling at me and refusing to let me speak proceeding to say I wasn't listening and telling me I'm putting words in her mouth and she's not going to sit here and argue with me, while doing the complete opposite. I finally just tell her I called to figure out what happened but if she was going to keep yelling at me I would just leave her a bad review and hung up. 10 seconds later I received a call from a different number as well as a text saying our conversation was recorded on their cameras which is great for me if she actually keeps and reviews it. I've let her know that we can speak on a less aggressive call but I will not change my review unless I am apologized to for the lies and cover ups of my mistreated dog. I'm not looking for compensation for vet bills or refunds, I would just like an honest explanation of the incident.
On top of all of that, she clipped his nails far too short to where they bled and his private area has cuts from being shaved far too short. Never had this type of unprofessional experience anywhere else in Midland or Odessa. read more
