We had been looking for a vet in the area and found a couple others that had really bad reviews. Highland, even though only had a few Yelp reviews, had good feed back on Google and other search engines like DuckDuckGo. The place looked clean and well staffed. We did not make an appointment on our first visit since phone first meets can be misleading and un impressionable. I was greeted at the door and quickly started to get questions of info on my pets problem and records. The ladies at the counter explained that usually they are booked and like to set appointments but they had room today for walk ins. After a series of questions and some very basic paperwork, we where waiting for the next available doctor. After a few minutes I received a call (we where waiting outside, my decision) that they where ready for my Maligator. Once inside the assistants quickly went to work making Mona comfortable and reassuring her that they where there to help. Mona was unsure at first, but the ladies quickly gained some trust from her. When the doctor got to her, the assistants did their best at calming Mona as the doctor examined her and checked her problems. A little painful, but the assistant was well trained and knowledgeable on maintaining order. The doctor and I went back and forth on possibilities of the issues and after some more examinations the doctor came to a conclusion. She also wanted to make sure that Mona was protected from other future potential problems and advised me on making an appointment for Mona to get caught up her shots after her medication gets properly applied for the current problem. The doc explained the medication that was given to me for Mona, and it's applications. After that, Mona and I waited for the balance. To my surprise, and relieve, the cost was very reasonable. Thank you ladies! I will follow up on the review with Mona's progress. Thanks again!

Anyway, I wanted just Romeo's feet, face, and sanitary areas done. Petsmart said it would count as a full grooming (once again $90-$100 due to his breed and size). Meanwhile, I also called and took him to this other location called the Pink Poodle in San Antonio who special in poodle grooming. I had waaaaay better results than with Petsmart and for only $60 with a cute bandana! Another thing about Petsmart grooming, is anytime I take him, his haircut always looks a little funky, and I just wait for him to grow more hair again since it grows so fast.
