We needed a medical transport with one month notice, wheel chair accessible van and Sunday service. I-Care Medical met my needs at an affordable price. On the day of our wedding, the van showed up to transport my father from the nursing facility to the country club and back. To my surprise, there was not just a driver but a nurse to ensure the safety of my father. My mother, who rode along with my father, felt confident and assured; they ease mother's worries. She asked me to tip them well. After the wedding, they safely transported my father back with the same care as he received to the venue. I'm an so graceful that I-Care was able to bring my father to a day my wife and I will cherish and remember when so many other transport companies either was too expensive, didn't have the wheelchair van available, didn't have the personal service or was simply not available for a Sunday. Other companies were not only too expensive for a limited income but the people behind the phones were simply rude. Peninsula Hospital provided their info and, since we had no time to research, we ok'd this service provider. They did a good job in moving him, however we were asked to pay right there and then and by cash, if possible. I couldn't. They then suggested a check. We obviously were in crisis mode away from home and had no checks available. They then took a photo of my debit card (!!) and said they'd erase it after use. They then hit me up for a tip - while my dad was still on the transport gurney! Flustered, I said "OK, add 20". She said "20%?". Wow. Who does this?? If they'd invoiced me, which is traditional, this would be a 5 star review. BUT, no one appreciates being hit up for a tip in a crisis... Just be aware of heir business practices with you make a referral or choose a service.
