I wish I'd read Scott's review before coming. My dad needed a mobility scooter and wanted to come here. The selection is large--I'll give them that--but the staff is unhelpful to a degree that it almost seems they're TRYING not to get involved. We were cash customers (not filing through Medicare) but were sold a truly inadequate scooter and had to return it an hour later. STILL didn't get any helpful guidance or much show of concern. Here's a newsflash: your customers don't know this stuff. They're counting on you to actually HELP THEM. Honestly? I felt foolish for trying to be frank/articulate/friendly with this woman. I worked hard to express precisely what it was we needed (a scooter that would work outside on grass) and really would have been greeted more warmly if I hadn't bothered. I did find the delivery man to be incredibly kind, helpful, prompt and patient when assembling and teaching us how to operate the scooter. They should put him in the sales room; he's knowledgable. He brought my rating up from one to three. read more

COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER Margaret definitely went above and beyond to get me a chair I could live with. It is always difficult to fit customers over the phone, I am sure. I was able to send the Viva Radiance chair back under the manufacturer's warranty. I had bought a three-year warranty in addition to the purchase of the Viva Radiance chair. The new chair I got was the Cloud chair, and it will suffice. However, I did have to pay extra for this new chair. Med Mart had no problem going into my bank account and taking their extra money for the new chair. But when it came to sending me back my refund, all of a sudden Margaret said that it was not possible to send it directly to my account, that she had to send a paper check. She claimed to have said a lot of things I cannot remember. I understand all the calls are recorded. I hope so for Med Mart's benefit. You should review it. You may need it. I cannot walk or drive as of a week ago. I have no way to deposit a check. Plus Extend, the warranty company that take effect after the one year manufacturer warranty expires has prorated it, for some reason. I have contacted them, so we shall see what they want to do. I did not use their warranty plan in any way. I am contacting them to see if they will authorize the extra $72.00 they are holding to be sent to me. I suspect Med Mart are the ones actually keeping that money, anyway. I will find out and I will be getting my money back, one way or the other. My legs may not work, but my mind does. I went through physical pain because of the first chair, emotional stress and now financial stress. This all adds up to elder abuse. So, while the customer service was great in getting me a chair I could live with, it sucked when it came to the money practices. Margaret gave me a dozen excuses, but that is all they were ... excuses. That doesn't help me buy groceries next month. Some of us live paycheck to paycheck, penny to penny and I was depending on that refund to cover what I had to put out for this new lift chair. Margaret pointed out that she helped me to "the best of her ability." I do not doubt that. I just don't think her ability is sufficient when it comes to the financial end of business which affected my needs. I gave two stars for the nice chair I did end up with and I know Margaret tried, but they lost the other three stars because of the failure to communicate with me and the dishonesty involved ... not to mention the rudeness of both Margaret and the customer service reps today. Perhaps an in service on dealing with their customers would be of help. Stealing from their customers is not a way to do business. read more

I want to start by saying that this company has horrible staff . A representative called Stacy was yelling through the phone and took so long to tell me that I would be deducted 15% out the original price of the bed and plus will have to be deducted shipping that is $546 and will have to pay for shipping once I send it back. I received the hospital Bed days after I placed the order thinking I wasn't getting any coverage for my mom. However days later my mom was accepted to hospice care and they offered me a bed . And now I tried giving the bed back and the representative Stacy was so rude and took so long to tell me how much would I be refunded back if I return the bed . I purchased the bed for my sick mom who is currently facing brain cancer and then hospice care offered the bed last minute . I shouldn't be going through more trouble than what I'm already going through . The service is bad . And the bed hasn't even been taken out . The bed is literally on the box just the way I received it , and this company makes it so hard for people like me that are going through bad moments. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service ever! I have been without my stairlift for almost two months. It stopped working so I called the repair dept. They never answer so you have to leave a message. Then another, then another. When they called back I was told 3 weeks before someone could come out. Only to be told when they were here they had to order a part. I've heard nothing from them since! I've been leaving messages and no call back. This company sucks when it comes to customer service. Worst I've ever experienced!! read more

It is very late December. In JUNE, I ordered 4 pairs of compression socks in 4 different styles. Week after week I emailed the sales rep for updates and never once got a reply. In September I went in on a Saturday and spent about 30 minutes with a rep who swore she got whatever internal issue they had untangled, corrected the order which showed as 3 closed-toe beige pairs instead of the 4 variations I'd ordered, and sent numerous notes and emails to some supervisor to make SURE it got handled the next business day. Today is December 28 and they just now completed my order -- wrong. 3 pair instead of 4, all beige, all closed-toe. This was the SECOND YEAR IN A ROW they've massively failed at delivering this simple sale -- in basically the same way. The level of incompetence paired with the lack of communication is breathtaking. In 2022 they still require FAXES to get things done. And BTW, the salespeople are all nice enough. This is 100% on the management and their business systems and processes. read more

I have always had a pleasant experience when dealing with Med Mart @ their Cincinnati location for both personal and family member medical supply needs. Purchasing medical equipment can be stressful, but their knowledgable staff always helps make this part of the process painless. I recently needed to purchase a Breg shoulder ice machine on short notice, and did not have the 48 hours to wait for it to arrive via Amazon Prime. I spoke with a nice lady named Bev who not only offered to match the price I was seeing on Amazon, but had one waiting at the counter for me to pick up same day. A large selection of quality ice packs to chose from while my new Breg charged was also convenient. If you can't/don't want to leave the house they also have a fantastic website which has allowed me to get other medical items delivered directly to my door. Overall, wouldn't deal with any other business in the medical supply space. read more

This company is a rip off came to their facility with my prescription and requested my equipment they wanted to call me a week later and tell me .....when are you coming to get the scooter ......they are charging me 5995 for that but the wheelchair that they have a prescription for they didn't fill out the paperwork then they decided to call me a day later and asked me to call the doctor and have the doctor hurry it up and then that following Monday when I talk to the doctor the doctor told me that he sent it three hours prior to Our conversation so I called them back and they told me they haven't heard from the doctor a lot of people sitting around for a paycheck not doing too much and then I called because my scooter that I'm paying $59.95 for is wobbly you..... could buy a scooter from Walmart which would be safer and more secure than their hunk of junk that they tried to charge you 5995 for I didn't know that we are in such a rip market. So I asked them if they could fix the scooter that I'm renting from them all they would if they charge me a $40 delivery fee how am I supposed to get there if I don't drive or not allowed to drive due to medication I am just making a reference here if .....I go rent a car from enterprise rental car and I drive down the road in the car breaks down do I have to bring it back to the shop or do I call enterprise and they send somebody to come and get the car?... Just a thought . buyer/renter beware read more

I ordered a chair lift on August 1 online. It was immediately charged to my husband's AMEX. The VP of Sales came to measure for specifications for installation. On September 1st, still no sign of the lift...and no phone call. Upon calling, I was told that it had been INSTALLED on August 27....of course it WASN'T!!!! AFTER many unanswered calls, leaving multiple messages with no one returning a call, I was finally connected to one of the 'owners'. Blah, blah, blah with apologies and all the back office baloney of blaming the system........no system's fault ---- THIS IS POOR SERVICE!!! Lift was installed (techs were the best in all of this experience).....with 1 arm damaged..........it is NOW SEPTEMBER 26.......still waiting on the replacement. In fact, received a call just today......it was ordered TODAY....5 - 7 MORE DAYS TO WAIT...... Buy your product from another business. For one who is providing assistance and necessary tools for the elderly and disabled .... SHAME ON ALL OF YOU. I feel as if we have been a victim and not a consumer. read more

I called for a stair lift quote. Their guy showed up a couple of days later. He did measurements, I liked the price and gave him a deposit even though he poo-pood mom's desire to put the thing on the right side of the stairs. He wanted to take down the railing and put the lift on the left. I thought the thing could stop in the middle and the railing would be a necessity. The installation was scheduled for the following week. After the installers left, the lift was unusable. It stopped one step below the second floor. Mom couldn't get out of it. That meant the first guy measured wrong. I called. The installer called back in a few minutes and promised to fix it the next day. Didn't happen until four days later. Meanwhile, mom couldn't sleep in her bed or take a bath. The lift was in the way. She couldn't get upstairs like she'd done previously. Two months later, it died on a Friday night, after store hours. No emergency number. Next day, Saturday, I called for help. Got a VM and no call back (they're open on Saturdays). They have an option for stairlifts and elevators. Thank God mom wasn't trapped in an elevator. But, she'll either be sleeping in a recliner until they turn up - or, we'll put her up in a motel (if she stops being a martyr). There's not a lot of places that sell stairlifts here. Maybe I should have hired someone else? read more

i submitted a prescription for a medical scooter and was stonewalled for 3 months due to having both medicare and medicaid. They wanted me to go thru medical boards and then told me I would probably never get one though my insurer was ready and willing to pay for it. They were rude and surly to me and ignored my claim. They are not worth the powder to blow them to hell. read more

Don't buy from this company. They are not trust worthy, they do not communicate with customers in a professional manner, and they can't tell you anything about when you may get your order. I waited 2 weeks for something that said "ships in 2-3 days". They informed me it's because we ordered the "white glove service" to assemble the bed. When I called 2 days later they then said it's because of the manufacture. Well what needs manufactured on an order that was supposedly in stock and would ship in 2-3 days? No one could give me any info on a $1600+ order! So we had to cancel it. It was the biggest pain to accomplish with the lack of professionalism and the staff I was connected with. I will never do business with this company again. Yes, I did get a full refund back after 2 weeks of being told nothing. As soon as I got off the phone with them, they updated their website to say "ships in 8-10 weeks" but for some reason couldn't tell me that on the phone or we may have kept the order placed. We really needed the bed, but will go through someone else now. read more

I needed a walker for my daughter who had ankle surgery, I went to the store to purchase one, well all the ones in the store we at least over $100 and up. They have them on line for under $100, but won't match their own prices. So i order on line. It was going to take about a week. So I found one else where. So i cancelled the walker a few days later, well its been 3 weeks I have yet to see my credit back. I was told it could take 30 days for credit. They are quick to take their money. But i now have NO walker and no credit! I would definitely not go back to Med Mart. They are not customer friendly. read more

My family has been shopping at Med Mart for a while now. We first went to their supply store to find compression stockings for my cousin. She had melanoma and now requires waist high stockings as prescribed by her physician. Dave and Evan at the Cincinnati store were great at explaining the documentation we would need to try to get them covered by insurance. We have been buying them ever since and had good experiences each time we came in. Thanks for the great customer service and fair prices. read more

Top notch service from start to finish. There new store is about double the size of the one I used to shop in Evendale! Tony was great helping me find the right electric wheelchair and lift chair for my grandma. I want all of cincinnati to know how thorough and knowlegable their staff was. They were so busy it did take tony a minute to get with me. The lift chair is super comfortable and really helps the swelling in her feet. On My 8th I took my Golden Buzzaround Extreme scooter in for repair. It was not charging properly. They replaced the charger and I returned home and checked out the charging, nothing worked. I called them immediately and the tech had gone home sick. We went out of town for three days and I thought I would call then on Monday. I called on Monday and explained the manufacture was sending me two new batteries and a charger and asked to return the charger. I was told the Manager said they will not take it back. I asked them to explain why, no explanation, it is their policy. I don't believe I have ever dealt with a more unfriendly company. I can say for sure I will never be back and every opportunity I get I will be sure people know what a lousy company this is... This afternoon I tried to return a defective grab bar that I purchased 4 days ago. I was told by the young woman working there that they don't take return for defective products if the package is opened. I asked how do you know it's defective if you don't open the package. She said that was the policy. Plus, she said they don't accept returns over 3 days old. That's amazing especially with the Holidays and seniors who may not use the products within 3 days. I then went to Mullaneys where I purchased another grab bar. They said they accept returns for defective products even if the package is open. Plus, their return policy is for 30 days. Med Mart is out for me and my senior community. They are arrogant and have poor customer service. Mullaneys is my new go to store for medical supplies. read more

I have not had the best experiences with them. Their service calls are pretty pricey. The charged $180 to come out an take a look at a starilift. There were no problems with the rental unit -- but they insisted on making the charge even though it was not speleld out in the service contract and they did not quote a price beforehand. The also charge $250 to remove a stairlift, something not spelled out in their contract. I would think very carefully before shopping there again and would insist on more complete contract information. I also found them exceptionally rude and arrogant when politely challenged. read more

I agree with others that wrote in to say do not buy from Med Mart, they do not work with you. They didn't send the right parts, then we had to pay someone else local to to make some of the parts they didn't send, and would not take them back unless I paid shipping, so we worked with what we had. My cousin did the work for us, Thank God, he had the knowledge on how to make it work. I wouldn't recommend this company. read more

Ordered replacements parts for a mobility scooter. This company advertised them with the OEM part number. When I received the items, they were not OEM but knockoff products. Sometimes knockoffs can work. However companies that are selling knockoffs should advertise them as being knockoffs not listing the OEM part numbers. I attempted to allow the company to address the issue and make it right. They have chosen though to ignore me. I attempted to contact them vie their online chat, however was ignored there also. read more

Absolutely will not be returning to this store. You'd think that a store that specializes in home care and medical resources would have some empathy or understanding for those shopping there...However, you'd be wrong! I have been shopping for my grandmother who is unable to travel to the store on her own, given not only the pandemic, but also her current medical status. I have had the pleasure (sarcasm) of dealing with this staff multiple times now and I have received nothing but poor service and rude behavior. I purchased an incontinence cover for my grandmother, per the request of her caretaker, but was unsure on the size. When I was checking out (after receiving absolutely no assistance, locating the product on my own, and waiting at least 10 minutes for an associate to come to the counter -- I guess I interrupted their busy schedules of sitting around), I asked the associate if I could return the item for another size if this one was incorrect. I was informed that yes, I could return the item as long as it had not been worn. The item had not even been removed from the package - believe me, I know better than to try to return a USED incontinence cover. If it was used, it would be in the trash, not in my hands. :) When I went to the store to return the item, I was rudely told that "IT'S UNDERWEAR, I CAN'T RETURN THAT." No empathy, apology, or any reasonable explanation. Just a rude woman telling me that I'm trying to return used underwear -- no thanks! First of all, it's not underwear, so clearly her understanding of the product is lacking. Second, have some respect - she was the one making a scene by loudly talking at us. Really professional for a $17 item. I will not be taking the time to return to use the large allowance insurance has provided for in-home medical equipment - which is a real shame given the proximity of this location and the amount of items we will be needing. :) read more

I wrote a negative review on 9/26 concerning this company and their lack of response to their customers and their medical needs. Since then, they have responded to all my calls and requests. I have never gotten such a run around as I have with this place. The customer service is - pretty much non existent. I speak to one person about something, have to call back about it, the next person has no clue what I'm talking about and going into the store - I must turn invisible when I'm inside cause I sure don't get any help. Sad that there aren't more places that sell these things, then maybe they'd have to step up and provide some customer service to keep business. read more

What a truly awful business. My daughter took me into Med Mart I had a cast on one leg a walking boot on the other a total of seven broken bones. I was in need of a wheelchair. From the curb outside the door it took me about six minutes with a walker to get to the counter for a sales person. I am armed with my doctors prescription, two types of medical insurance and a debit card. They say they have to run the insurance there computers are down. They say that my only choice is to rent the chair until they get the payment details from my insurance company's. They requested a deposit plus 3 months rental. I ask will any part of that be refunded when my insurance pays you, I'm told NO. So to rent a wheelchair it cost $160.00 plus all you're insurance benefit's. I would not have felt any less robbed or cheated, if they had an armed gunman in the parking lot. It's totally shameful that any company can get away with that. Stay away from Med-Mart. read more

I bought a new adjustable bed from Med Mart and from the sales to the delivery and installation was an outstanding experience. The 2 men that delivered my bed called me an hour in a half before delivery. They showed up on time very courteous. After installing my bed he made sure I knew how to use the remote. My family had a horrible experience with this company and I do not recommend them. As you can tell from other reviewers, this is not a business that provides a quality experience. My elderly in-laws needed a stair lift because of their debilities so that they could stay in their home. They were sold a $3000 stair lift with a BUYBACK guarantee. As their condition worsened they moved to an assisted living and when we called to have the stair lift removed and "bought back" per their guarantee---they said it was no longer in effect because of business decisions. The lift was only one year old and in perfect condition (and the buy back had no time parameters). The manager was snide and uncaring and did not seem to understand that a guaranty means that it is guaranteed. All a can say is that they are unscrupulous as a business, unprofessional in their management and uncaring towards their customers. They are in it for a buck and do not mind taking advantage of seniors to get it. read more

I ordered a Go Chair for my elderly mother. While the chair was in transit to my 85-year old mother, she suffered a devastating stroke and died a couple of weeks later. I worked with Julie, who was very nice, to return the chair minus the shipping fee. About a month later she said that a credit was applied to my card. When reconciling my credit card at the end of the year I found the credit did not appear. Amex says that no credit was made. I called and spoke to David and asked him to trace what happened. David was unsympathetic and very uncooperative. So, I spent $1449.00 and have nothing to show for it. Med Mart stole from me and my mother. I paid cash for an expensive lift chair and was told it would be in about 3 weeks or fewer. After 3 weeks I called and left a message. I didn't receive a call-back, so called again in a few days and was told by my sales person that there was some mix-up--they ordered the chair from "a different supplier", but it would be in on Wed. and could be delivered Friday. She repeated my phone # back to me and said she would call on Wed. to schedule delivery. I received no call, but there was a note on my door on Friday from the delivery guys.
