Came in with a tire leaking air. Thought it could be patched up but I ended up needing a new tire. Professional, friendly and good service.

[As of 6 January 2022]…read more Meckfessel's Tre and Auto...Since 1927. That is over 90 years! I am only a third of that. I'm just trying to say that 90 years is a long time of service. And there has been no interruption since the beginning! I was in desperate need of new tires and I was having difficulties getting some b/c of the aftermarket modifications to my car. Nonetheless, Meckfessel was the answer to my problem. After one phone call, I was dropping my car off in less than 24 hours. Mr. Bob's customer service was the same over the phone as it was in person: the best! Within minutes of checking in, Ben was servicing my vehicle. Total service time to a little over an hour. I was surprised to see they don't use floor covers to protect the car from any debris. Being able to find a local FAMILY business like this is great! They have a certificate of approval from AAA and members are entitled to many benefits. For your tire needs, please come to Meckfessel's Tire and Auto! You get your vehicle fixed plus you are supporting a local business. Everyone wins! fin.

This shop is next to my workplace, so I thought this would be an easy way to get an oil change…read more Drop the car off at 8am and pick it up at 5. Easy enough I thought. I leave work at 5:30pm and hear a scraping sound, I hit the highway and it gets louder, I pull over at the first exit and discover that they didn't attach my skid plate. Thankfully I had AAA, called them and they had to send out two trucks since the first one couldn't repair it. They were going to tow my car until the serviceman was able to do a quick fix on the side of the road. By this time, I had spent over 2 1/2 hours on the side of the road in 90-degree heat on a Friday night where I had dinner plans (these plans were obviously missed). I get home at 8:30pm, a normal 30-minute drive taking 3 hours. I send them an e-mail detailing how they forgot to bolt on my skid plate. Monday they call and I'm told that as long as they have an open bay available, they should be able to get my car in. "What?!" You botch the job and then you're not even guaranteeing that you'll be able to get it fixed the next time I bring it in? They have on their site that they will pick your car up and return it to you, they do not offer me this service. They don't offer a refund, discount or anything, I don't even get an apology in person. The only apology I ever received was via text after they secured my plate. That apology was preceded by the sentence, "There doesn't appear to be GREAT damage to your skidplate". Oh cool, your shop's incompetence damaged my car, but at least it's not "Great" damage. They give you a 20-point inspection when you get an oil change, 6 of those items are "undercar", but apparently nobody noticed a loose skid plate! Which pretty much makes this whole inspection completely worthless as I don't trust it. To put your family name on this business and offer such a crap service is unfathomable to me. I will never come here again.

We filled the tire and found Mission Accomplished as the nearest service--we made it there, barely, and they got us in immediately. They found a screwdriver in our tire and told us it wasn't salvageable; they then filled and put on our spare for us. They didn't charge for the service and were very kind to us. If we are ever in need of service on the road again, we will definitely try to make it there!

It is not easy to located or at least from the direction Google maps showed me; however, I had just finished working at McDonald's and they assisted me as the manager , Laura had done business with them in the past. She said they were very good yet a bit expensive. I was hoping for the best but also thought the worse I headed over to how she told me where they were really located. I arrived and they were somewhere busy. I walked in and Steve was right there to help me. I descriptor the situation. He logged everything into the computer and I told him the keys were in the vehicle. Within a matter of minutes they had in the shop. Less then five minutes he came out to me and gave me the news. Steve even spoke to my husband and told him over the phone what the situation was with the vehicle. Even though they could not fix it they were nice, friendly, and informative. Steve did not charge me anything for looking at or telling me what was wrong with my vehicle or anything negative. I made it home safely and it is now parked till my husband decides what he is going to do. The next day, I worked at McDonald's again (which it is not my normal store). Steve came through the drive and was happy to see me and said I see you made it home and back here safely. I smiled and said Yes, yet now I am driving my husband's vehicle, giggle. I do recommend this business!
