To echo so many reviews on here, Adriana!!! I also cannot say enough good things about her and my color but I'll give it a shot. I'm someone who does my research and I'm happy to say I was spot on. In watching her videos and reading reviews, I saw talent, kindness, humility and comfortable confidence. I'm happy to say all of this is equally true in person. It is difficult to find a gem like this so run, don't walk to Meche Salon and see Adriana! Adriana is open to discussion and "gently" honest when she needs to be to get to where you need to be, color-wise but also overall look with regard to age, skin tone etc. She explains every step of the process and is not bothered by questions. She will go beyond to help you get what you want. She is truly someone who puts herself in the "chair" of her client, and believes in giving them their money's worth + more. I am "getting up" in years :/ and it's been a while for me, since my hairdresser of 20 years retired after Covid. I had LOTS of gray and dark in my hair and Adriana brought me back to a beautiful gold-buttery blonde blended with my natural base. She also miraculously helped soften the grays underneath since I wear my hair up quite a bit, and was able to somehow maintain the contrast between the beautiful new lights and darks throughout my hair. I cannot stress how well she hit the lights. Just amazingly gorgeous, no orange tones, no blondes too white. Beautiful light-med gold blended with darker contrast. Because of Adriana I feel pretty again after years! Also, shout out to her sweet assistant that day, Alexa, and her cute maltese . :) If you're looking for your dream hair color, you have to see Adriana. Possibly due to how busy it was that day, the service was very rushed. After the color was done I dealt with an assistant the rest of the time which I'm not used to at other salons, but maybe that's how they operate here. My hair ended up with a lot of breakage. I'm assuming a high level of bleach was used to process the light color faster due to the rushing. I've had people take 4+ hours to process the same color and my total appt time was about 3 hours. Given these things along with the high price point and drive for me, I likely won't be back. read more

Amanda Smart is a gem. She's meticulous and knows how to cut wavy hair and it air dries beautifully. I saw her at another salon for a cut years ago. She was able to cut my hair again after a car accident I experienced that disabled me. She was gentle and aware of my neck injury. We didn't do a wash as it's not safe for me so I came with clean hair. I haven't been able to get out to have my hair done in years and it was still exhausting for me. I've been coming to MECHE for years for my regular colorist and cutter, both of whom I adore. Unfortunately, my recent visit with colorist Kat Samson was a completely different experience -- rushed, dismissive, and ultimately left me with hair I now have to pay another salon to fix before an important photo shoot. I booked a session to pay for highlights even though I knew I may not need them but I was prepared to pay for them. I came in with clear instructions and photos and also expressed that my regular colorist, who also works at MECHE and I LOVE knows my hair and has the info on my color card. She seemed to not need it. I explained that I DO NOT like my hair to veer too dark, or orange or red and that I'd rather be lighter than dark. My hair was taken several shades darker than I asked and when I voiced my concern and walked outside multiple times in the sunlight, expressing it was too dark, I was told to "just buy cheap shampoo to wash it out" and to come back later if I didn't like it. I didn't like it then and I expressed that but she seemed rushed and as though there was no time to fix it. I was too nice and left and even left a generous tip as I always do that. I returned for a correction on August 13th, 2025 (5 days later) as it was the only date they had available, but the tone from Kat was quite curt, the service felt rushed, and the end result was still too dark and left me with unwanted reddish/maroon tones. I let them know it was still too dark and they hurriedly put in highlights on me that left me with reddish/maroon hair when I asked for my natural dark honey brown. To make matters worse, my grey were still visible immediately after the appointment -- something that should never happen right after leaving what should be a premium salon with experienced colorists but it really isn't so. There are a few and you need to be careful who you select. I felt like I'd been taken for granted, rushed through, and not given the level of care and attention I've always associated with MECHE. While I continue to love my regular colorist and cutter, I cannot recommend this particular colorist, Kat Samson, and hope the salon addresses the issue so others don't have the same experience. When I called the salon today to express my concerns and request a refund, the manager placed me on hold for 10 minutes while she contacted the colorist. When she returned, she began recounting the colorist's version of events--without first allowing me to share my own experience--and spoke in a rude, dismissive manner. She also claimed I had left before allowing them to blow-dry my hair so I could see the color. Which, they did, in fact blow-dry a small section, which was enough for me to clearly see the result--and I know my hair well enough, wet or dry, to recognize when the color is wrong. I was too upset to even argue or ask them to try and fix it again and hurriedly left after the assistant told me, "You don't have to pay for today." My thoughts were, "pay for what? You messed up my hair and I have pay someone else to fix it but you want to make me feel special by saying I don't have to pay you again!!" If they had fixed my hair that day, I would happily paid anything as I just wanted my hair to look like MY HAIR but instead I left crying and distraught knowing my shoot was 3 days away and I have to find someone else to fix it. The Manager informed me they could only offer a partial refund, but by that point, I honestly no longer cared. I have an important press shoot this Sunday, and I had chosen MECHE because of the exceptional work I've received from my usual colorist. Unfortunately, this experience made me realize the importance of choosing salons that truly prioritize and respect their clients. I stumbled across this place on a jog months ago, and I inquired about pricing and my interest of what I was looking for. I did my research on yelp on who I wanted my colorist to be. I did not know that I would have someone else for cut and styling which was fine. After some research, I found the colorist who I wanted to do my hair. I won't mention her name, but it was highly recommended on yelp. I waited months to book this appointment for a special event a.k.a. my birthday I had to reschedule a couple times because of my work schedule and also because the colorist didn't work weekends, I had to accommodate her schedule. I finally booked my appointment. Yesterday I went and was greeted by the assistant. I was seated and just a quick introduction to the colorist. That was the beginning and end. Her assistant did everything from beginning to end and I thought oh perhaps maybe I'll see her later during my stay here at my meche. I was being washed, and was told to go back to my seat when she (colorist) was sitting there, so there was nowhere else for me to sit, and I was never acknowledged. Honestly I was very disappointed because I waited a very long time to book this appointment particularly with her and I have very high standards for her but she never once touched my hair. Bummer. It wasn't until I met Guy who completely shifted my mood and boy let me tell you he is amazing had it not been for him. I don't think I would ever come back. He made my experience, wonderful & exceptional. He made me feel good. He was very attentive. He and his assistant we're both great I am extremely happy With Guy. Oh, I know every salon is different and this is completely new for me as far as colorist, stylist, people who cut your hair, assistants...there's just too many hands involved for me. Just to update, my hair is still breaking off daily. I'm nearly bald from the ears down as my hair keeps breaking off and there's empty pockets everywhere. Every colorist and stylist looks at my hair in shock and horror as to how someone could do this to someone's hair because it's such a terrible unprofessional job. No refund or help has been offered. Everyone should pamper themselves once in a blue moon. A while ago, I decided to try what has been reviewed as one of the best hair salons in LA. I probably had the best shampoo and head massage in my life there. However, overall, it was not an easy experience.. Parking is a drag. The people are nice. The price tag was ridiculous. Meche is the Michelin-starred restaurant of hair salons. It's often busy here but it's not chaotic. Just a bunch of professionals in their flow state. I asked my colorist Katrina for a low maintenance, subtle look. Something shiny with dimension for my virgin black hair. I was a few minutes late so when I sat down she and her assistant Jackie got to work immediately, wasting no time. They listened to me and made recommendations. They were warm, friendly and very professional, explaining each stage of the coloring process. I was also really impressed with how they juggled multiple clients at once, working with speed and precision without rushing anybody out. They're just really smart about how they manage time and work. I'm so so so happy with my hair. It's soft, shiny, and friends are telling me I look years younger! Rich the colorist is fantastic and I get the most compliments about my hair color months out, but the front desk specifically Alexia is rude, lacks initiative (talks to other staff members instead of making sure customers are taken care of), and blames hair stylists for any booking issues. The blow dry is extremely expensive and poor booking is an inefficient use of time. When I approached Alexia to give her feedback, she lacked professionalism and rolled her eyes. Until this recent experience I am about to relate, I would have given Meche a 4 or 5 star review. A big plus at this place is that, despite being a super busy salon, they have always found solutions when things have gone wacky with the schedule...and this is both on the side of clients and on the side of hair cutters and stylists. We all get behind for whatever reasons, and I have indeed been known to be tardy (average no more than 10 minutes). Conversely, I have also sat between 20 and 55 minutes waiting for a colorist or stylist who has fallen behind, and I have also twice been completely forgotten while sitting in waiting , directly across from the reception desk. Once, after an hour and 15 minutes I politely asked what the hold up was and the apologized and said that I "slipped thru the cracks" . On this current occasion, I was 16 minutes late and, as per usual, I had been frantically calling the salon to let them know, but of course I only got a voicemail which never picks up until you've already arrived. Upon walking in, I was given sheepish looks by the usually friendly front desk staff, and told that "we tried to call you " ( upon checking, there were zero missed calls from Meche) Then I was informed that my colorist "only has 15 minutes left to see me" and , as that would not be enough time to color my roots( that's the only color service I get ), they would need to cancel me and they would need to charge me $75 for said cancellation. I'm not going to say I was angry, but I was a bit shocked in that I was there, and this was a colorist who had once left me waiting 35 minutes. As far as a legitimate "last minute cancellation ", there has never been a question of a charge for that, and I have had to do so 1 or two times in the past 3 or 4 years I have been a client. Each time I've always been genuinely quite gracious and understanding about a charge . I average two visits here per week for a shampoo and blow dry and I love the staff and respect cancellation fees as I have the same policy in my business. I attempted to reason with them by pointing out that it should then be equitable for a "tardy charge" as I'm now calling it. if I'm sitting waiting long stretches at a time when I "only have so much time" before my next client, should there be a rate adjustment for my loss of that hour? . (I am a professional, as well, who sees private clients. I have a policy of everything being equitable, because my clients come first, I am grateful for them and their devotion, and ....I look at the "big picture " . And if I make them late I make sure to accommodate their rate.) On this day I agreed to get the shampoo and blow dry (which was scheduled for the "after the color" time as my hair was desperately in need of at least that ) and to come back in a few days for the color and another blow dry . When I got into my stylists chair after the shampoo and he saw that my silver root growth was in out of control (in the summer months , hair grows twice as fast!) he kindly asked if I wanted another colorist to do it before he styled it ! I answered that it wasn't offered to me and I assumed that indicated that there was no one else available. He quickly went and arranged it, however, and though it was a rush for him to squeeze me in a bit later than scheduled, it was accomplished simply and smoothly because someone took the initiative and thought out of that sad, unfortunate, stuffy box.! I was so grateful and I did not even mind that my bangs didn't come out too nice! Rushing is difficult as I well know. Haha! The color came out beautiful too btw. Management, please take a moment to read this and know that it really matters that you instruct (or remind?) staff that "policy" has to go both ways. Also, being "penny wise and pound foolish" is rarely a winning prospect. Offending good and steady and nice clients isn't great practice and not worth the peanuts you saved in doing so. I was also quite surprised to learn, on this occasion, that someone was actually available to do my color, yet the desk crew was so thrown off and clearly embarrassed about having to charge me that fee they never thought to check or offer. It was clearly awkward for them to have their hands were tied like this. Again, likely this is the reason they neglected to attempt to accommodate me with another colorist. As I stood at the desk and heard that " cha ching" sound coming from my phone's gmail informing me of the $75 charge that had just gone through, I assumed it was a dead end. I certainly would have felt more comfortable if one of them at least tried to help out by attempting to ask an alternate person to throw some color on some roots. This is all I ever need insofar as color. It actually does take a colorist 15 minutes come to think of it! read more

I've been seeing Alex Pardoe for my hair extensions and color for a few years now and i couldn't be happier with his services. I have been struggling with breakage from bad extensions in my early 20s so I was insanely hesitant to go blonde and get extensions! He made the experience so comfortable and really put care into my hair and eased my anxieties. He has such an amazing personality so time flies in the chair! BUYER BEWARE! This is a RIP Off Business! Scheduled a " Complimentary " consultation with JACOB SCHWARTZ ( apparently was TRACEY CUNNINGHAMs Assistant. TRACY is not taking new clients so they recommend JACOB! I went in for a 10 minute consultation ( apparently he does color for MARGOT ROBBIE and other celebrities! He looked at my hair and then i was turned over to the salons front desk. They told me that i would need to leave a $1,000 deposit and my services ( color base highlights and some extensions would be $3,000 not including a cut or blow dry! I left a $1,000 deposit ( never informed that it was not refundable)! Two weeks before the appointment i changed my mind and called the salon to cancel. Apparently Jacob is an independent contractor and i was told i could not have my money refunded! REALLY! What did they do? No services! 10 minute consultation and i was told he was counting on the money! Is this a joke??!!! After a couple heated conversations with the front desk manager and her assistant and threatening to get my lawyer on the case they reluctantly refunded my money! If you are looking for a professional salon with integrity look elsewhere! These celebrities dont even pay for their services and the salon in exchange uses them to draw regular patrons in the salon and totally take advantage of them! But I went to Kristin about a year ago here at Meche and I have to say she is the only person I will let touch my hair. I get highlights/cut and blowouts from her and the way she does highlights is effortless and natural. The perfect tone Every. Single. Time. I'm only writing this because she is the best hair stylist I've ever been too and I've been to A LOT! Anyways listen, or don't listen. I have been going to Meche since around 2013-2014. Yvonne took me day off because by the grace of God she happened to have an opening when I called that day. I walked in looking insane. PRIOR TO MY APPOINTMENT, Someone else at another place had tried doing highlights on me with a cap (like back in the day) I have way too much hair for that. Then, the girl had grabbed pieces manually and I just looked insane. When I walked in, I met Yvonne and she was super honest on what she recommended. She told me I should cut my hair and do low lights. While I wanted to go lighter, at this point it wasn't healthy for me. Since then I've gone super light and medium dark with her throughout the years and I cannot explain how many compliments I receive on a weekly basis. I am forever asked about who does my hair and what's the style and color that it's done in. She has never taken me too light to where my hair can't handle it and has always communicated with me with her opinion. I truly trust her with my color more than anyone! Best part?! I'm a brunette that has never gone brassy!!! Love her forever and will always go to her as well as recommend her. I'll start by saying that my hair looked great walking out of the salon. There's no doubt that Jacob is a talented colorist. However, my experience at this high end salon was disappointing. 30 minutes past my appointment time I was finally approached by a man touching my hair with no acknowledgement or introduction - I quickly deduced that this must be my stylist. My entire experience with Jacob made me feel small and unimportant. He never stayed at my station for longer than 5-15 minutes at a time before he ran off to do something else around the salon. Perhaps because I'm not a Beverly Hills socialite or B list celebrity? It felt like he didn't have time for me and it was an inconvenience that I was sitting in his chair. read more

went there for a brazilian blowout and it was my first time there. the appt started 25 min past the scheduled start time and the girl doing my hair didn't even come over to introduce herself or let me know how long it would be. i just sat there waiting for 25 min. thought that was strange based on how that situation would be handled at any other salon. not the worst part though. before the girl started the treatment, she promptly announced to her coworker that she doesn't want to do these treatments anymore while i was sitting right there waiting to start. then later apologized to everyone in the salon about the smell before she started blow drying my hair. i felt like an idiot and if i didn't drive all the way there with my end goal of just getting this treatment over with, i would have told her to just stop and i would go somewhere else. completely unprofessional and unlike any other experience i've had getting my hair done. read more

Worst salon experiences of my life. I've given this place so many chances it's ridiculous. First I start off with Jacob Schwartz in wanting to go blonder. He quotes me 800 dollars to do it and says that's what it takes. Long story short he takes another client in middle of doing my hair cuz she had a flight. It was hectic in there and was not a pleasant experience while he was jumping back and forth to do the other girls hair. And in the end my hair looked fairly similar to what I had before with a few more highlights. He said he had to do a whole color correction to fix xyz, my boss sees me the next day and says I look exactly the same...and tells me to ask for my money back after spending $800- more than a nice TV. I call them back to see if he can just do a couple more highlights, and Jacob calls me to tell me he can't do anything else but charge me again to do more highlights..left the salon not feeling great. I decided to give him another chance and call back where the rude receptionist said apparently there's a note on my account that he won't do my hair, leaving me feeling 3x shittier with the aftermath of my appointment. I should have never come here in the first place. Then I move on to Adriana who does my highlights which I admit was awesome! I was very happy with this session. I was excited to come see her continuously. I went back to get my roots connected and that time I didn't feel it was very consultative bc I had no idea what to do and they did the bare minimum roots. It was her assistants Megan's last day before becoming a colorist, was rushed and her whole side of the head she did was spotty and didn't even cover all the bare minimum greys not to mention the color was exactly the same as my root not a little lighter like I wanted. The roots weren't fully covered, just blows my mind for a nice salon. Any other salon does it fully, pays more attention and is less expensive! Also I see Adrianna on her Instagram connecting the previous highlights for other clients with other things besides just roots but she tells me that I need to go with highlights. So there goes another $250 out the door... Adriana's availability opens up and I'm the first person the next morning to snag an appointment for the highlights she mentioned. She calls me 4 days before the holiday appointment telling me she can't work on my hair because a color correction came up. Okay so something more expensive comes come and you just cancel my highlight appointment that I woke up early to be the first to book and it would have still been $500 dollars! Now leaving me with no hairstylist before the holidays. Really upsetting. I have given this salon so many chances and so much of my money I feel like a fool. I was supposed to be getting my hair done today but instead I'm writing this review. Come here if you wanna pay an absurd amount of money to be treated average or below and you wanna come out feeling shittier about your hair than you ever did before. I actually have always had nice long hair, people always complimented me before coming here, I always felt great about my hair, it wasn't that hard to make it nicer yet they did a great job at making me feel shitty and not prioritized. If they're supposed to be celebrity hairstylists to do wonders on peoples hair, it's disappointing they couldn't even do mine. I guess you have to be famous to be respected or treated well here. I've been seeing Beau for haircuts since right before my wedding in 2019. To say he is a hair wizard is an understatement. No matter what style or cut I want, he delivers and is the consummate perfectionist. Most recently I got a pixie cut and he did better than I could've envisioned! I've also gotten corrective highlights with Kari, who is great as well (I've just been letting my hair get back to natural, especially since I was pregnant during the last year). Meche is conveniently located in Beverly Hills, has valet parking, but I've never had to use it because there's a ton of 4-hour free street parking nearby. The salon itself is usually very busy but despite this, it is cool and relaxing. It's a high-level experience without hype or frills. Appointments are easy to book online. They offer a ton of great hair products for sale and use them to wash and style your hair, including my personal favorite, Oribe. All staff has been friendly to me and make me feel welcome. The only con about this place is the price, but legit this is the only salon in LA that I can go to and trust will handle my hair with expert care! To me it's worth the hefty price tag but just keep this in mind; a cut will run you at least $300 before tip! (Includes a blowout). read more

I was looking into hair extensions, and I've had my reservations about them for a while because I've heard horror stories. I found Alex at Meche on instagram over a year ago, and I've been getting extensions with him since! His work is absolutely stunning, and each set is better than the last because my hair has grown so much while the extensions have been in! The hair he uses is amazing quality, I even get compliments from strangers on my hair!
