I have seen such an improvement in my hair since coming here, especially after dealing with hair loss. My hair is looking great now. I also love their head spa products, such as shampoo, hair oil, scalp serum, and scalp spray, which I've been using since I started coming here. I do recommend booking in advance since their head spa is very popular specifically for the hair growth treatment. You definitely will leave feeling relaxed with a clean scalp. My hair also always feels smooth and shiny after. They do get cancellations, so keep checking online or call to check availability. Lastly, the staff is very friendly.

I found Hair by Julianne Cho and was booked with Sumi, and I'm so glad I trusted her! Sumi was incredibly sweet, patient, and attentive throughout the entire appointment. She actually recommended a softer, wavier perm, but I kept insisting I wanted it curlier (lol). She listened to exactly what I wanted while still giving me honest professional advice, which I really appreciated. She also recommended getting a haircut beforehand, and I'm SO glad I listened. I have really thick hair with a lot of density, and she spent about 40 minutes cutting it. She didn't rush at all and was so meticulous. She removed just enough weight while keeping my length, added beautiful long layers, and gave my hair so much more movement and dimension. The perm came out exactly how I was hoping! My hair feels so much lighter, the curls are beautiful, and I'm honestly obsessed with the result. I drove about an hour from the Valley, and it was 100% worth it. Parking was easy, the salon was clean and adorable, and they even had snacks and drinks for clients. Overall such a great experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to make the drive again. Thank you, Sumi!

I cannot say enough good things about this salon and Jennifer!!…read more I requested a same day appointment as I had botched hair extensions put in at another salon the day before. Jennifer agreed to accommodate me and even stayed after hours to work on me. She assessed my hair and decided what to do (we ended up removing 50% of the extensions -- the previous salon had added too much hair so she could charge me for more hair, which was one of the reasons I ended up looking like I was wearing a wig). Jennifer cut the width of the extensions and replaced them at the most natural position for my head shape, and blended everything together seamlessly. Jennifer, you are amazing!!! Thank you so much. I will definitely be back!

Kyunghee took the time to listen to what I wanted. I asked for curtain bangs and long layers, and she absolutely delivered. The cut was exactly to my liking--soft, flattering, and very well balanced. After styling my hair, she came back to do a final trim and made sure to check in to see if I was completely satisfied, which made me feel really cared for as a client. Overall, the service felt elevated, professional, and personal. I left feeling confident and happy with my hair, and I will definitely be back again soon!

My visit felt almost like being in a spa and was incredibly enjoyable. What makes this salon especially unique is its selection of treatments sourced directly from Japan. I also highly recommend the Hair Chemist treatment, especially if you frequently blow-dry or color your hair. It made a noticeable difference I left with softer and shinier hair. The salon itself is warm and welcoming, and the team is exceptionally talented. I left with an amazing blowout, and my hair has never felt softer. The facility was…read moreclean, the staff were friendly and professional, and the facial and scalp treatment were both very good. The only downside during the treatment was the massage table. It was mechanical and felt a little hard on the body, which made it less comfortable than I was expecting. What really caught me off guard, though, was the bill at the end. I was surprised to see that a 20% gratuity had automatically been added. I don't recall that being disclosed before our services, and I think something like that should be communicated clearly upfront. For the two of us, the total came to $487, which was more than we expected. I have no problem tipping for good service, and I enjoyed the treatments. I just wish the automatic gratuity had been clearly explained beforehand so there weren't any surprises at checkout. That lack of transparency took away from what was otherwise a positive experience. If you are going to spend that kind of money, I would recommend doing a Day spa where all amenities are included in the service.

Two photos my hair before the haircut -- taken with the front camera, no filter, no beauty mode,…read morecompletely unedited. Two photos my hair after the haircut. First of all, I want to say that Yuki is a very nice person, and this review is not personal in any way. I also completely understand that for some people, paying $220 plus tip (around $270) for a trim is totally normal, and I'm sure many clients are very happy at this price point. However, this price point does not match my personal understanding of what $270 represents for a haircut in LA. For me, when I pay this amount, I am paying not just for time, but for the stylist's professional judgment and their understanding of beauty -- meaning there should be some meaningful adjustment or improvement based on my original haircut. In my case, my hair has two layers. On the lower layer, it was mainly blow-dried and cut slightly flatter to look heavier, which took less than five minutes. On the upper layer, there were literally about three small cuts to add texture. I am not even commenting on whether the result is good or bad -- but objectively, the change is extremely minimal. After multiple haircuts in LA, at this price level, I personally expect to see a noticeable difference. At this moment, I honestly can't tell if my hair looks any different from before, and I'm not even sure if it will look better after washing. As today's result contributed by professional blow-dry. I hesitated a lot before writing this review. But I realized that when your expectation and your budget are well matched before a haircut, the whole experience can be very comfortable and positive. When they are not well matched, it becomes a lose-lose situation. The stylist did spend a full hour providing the service, and I did receive that service for an hour. But the service itself did not match what I had prepared to pay for. At that point, you cannot refuse to pay, but you also feel quite uncomfortable after paying. This review is mainly for those who are relatively sensitive at this price point. If your budget is very comfortable, your hair structure is already very good, and you are happy with just a very simple trim on top of an existing style, then this may be totally fine for you. The products, washing, blow-drying, and overall environment are all very good, and the general experience itself is pleasant. This is simply my personal experience and expectation at this price level.
