Dog friendly chiropractor office located in the Ivy Place Shopping Village. Lots of onsite shared parking. There are two chiropractors that work out of this office. They are booth very capable young men. There has been a bit of a wait each time I've been here, but Dr. Cody Mecham gives his full attention to each session, you definitely don't feel rushed. All my adjustments have been no "Pain" adjustments. Yay! New patients get a consultation, exam and adjustment for only $35 He listens to your concerns, and will either do an adjustment then and there, or suggest a recommendation. He doesn't try to PUSH ANY UPSALES for example: future appointments, vitamins or the massage chair. There is therapeutic massage on site, but you will need to make a separate appoint with the massage therapist. Convenient online scheduling on their website, or if you need to be seen the same day they do have walk-in's available but have limited hours. I could cry about how grateful I was last night when the pain I was experiencing was the worst it had been in 3 days and I finally took a friend's advice to see a chiropractor before facing evil corporate hospital bills. Cody called me back minutes after my message and although the office was closing, he invited me in and stayed afterhours. They have an X-RAY machine on site! I had broken ribs! I have been going to see Cody and his team for the last 6 months after my car accident in November. Got back pain? Look elsewhere for help. Receptionist will overcharge you. Doc calls EVERYONE BRO or BROTHER. Not professional. Doc was ok as far as back treatment... He said that my insurance would cover the massage that he had scheduled without my consent our knowledge. I know they do not...therefore I said no to it. But the bill afterwards will charge you per instrument or technique used. And oh the headache afterwards of being overcharged and argued with. Not a mask to be seen or Clorox wipe. I absolutely love Dr Cody and have nothing but wonderdul things to say about him! He is energetic, knowledgeable, friendly, personable and reasonably priced; not to mention his hours are great! He charges $15 for an adjustment on my infant and I fully trust his care and experience, no questions asked. Dr Mecham came highly recommended by my midwife and my massage therapist (over at SLC Prenatal Massage; they are the BEST, go check them out!!). My first visit with him, I was thoroughly impressed by his expertise and he knew my older sons misalignment just by looking at him (which I already knew were issues and forgot to write on the paperwork)! We have made immense progress with both of my children since starting under his care. Sadly, the ding on the stars comes from the front office. When I enter the office, I am never greeted with a smile or a welcome. Aside from that, I just had to call and reschedule the appointment for my children. Unfortunately about 30 minutes after I made the reschedule via phone, I had something critical come up that made me need to once again, reschedule. Ok ok I'm a believer now! After 3 flights and a long day of travel my back decided to quit working. I don't get it either! but getting into the car on my way from the airport to my home I somehow tweaked my lower back. I thought for sure heat and good sleep would help but it was worse the following day. I went to Cody the next day and it was hurting me badly to even walk. I don't fully understand chiropractic medicine and my family doesn't believe in it but I would pretty much try anything at that point being in that much pain. First visit 60% better. I started seeing Dr Cody after I was rear-ended in a car accident. The whiplash caused me quite a bit of pain and not being able to turn my head was very frustrating. After only a few visits, movement improved and I could feel the pain and pressure being relieved from my neck and spine. For the next few weeks I practically lived at their office. The ultrasound machine loosened up those muscles, that rolling table was a mixture of torture and relief, and the sweet girl who pops all those knots in my back always made sure I was making progress. The staff is friendly and accommodating. On more than one occasion I needed to schedule at the last minute or needed to change my appointment. Carol at the front desk was patient with my disorganized ways and always made sure to find a time I could come in. Even better than all that? They dealt with my car insurance. Carol kept track of when my PIP was used up so I didn't have to. All I had to do was focus on was getting well and getting my movement back. Visits were always entertaining as Dr Cody is able to make patients feel at ease. I will continue to see Dr Cody on a maintenance basis. Dr. Cody helped me get rid of vertigo in one ear. Within two treatments it was significantly better, allowing me to sleep on that side. After four treatments it was only slightly noticeable when laying on that side. Now it is almost totally gone. Not only did he help with the vertigo, but several good adjustments have made my back feel so much better and reduced tension that had built up in my shoulders and neck. I have osteoporosis and was concerned about going to a new chiropractor. He came highly recommended by a family member who had also been helped with vertigo. He took time with me to discuss my concerns thoroughly. He is knowledgeable, personable, gives a thorough and gentle adjustment, and is reasonably priced.
