After suffering from debilitating lower back pain caused by a previously herniated disc I was desperate for relief and sought out recommendations from friends for chiropractors. Let me start by saying that I have never been to a chiropractor before so I didn't know what to…read moreexpect. I made an appointment here after being highly recommended this practice in particular by my midwife to try and get aligned/make sure I was aligned to try and get labor to begin, or in the least to help things go smoothly once labor did begin. I've been told Dr Gunn does have plenty of experience with pregnant people and i was grateful for that. It was easy to call and schedule an appointment, they do have some weird hours on Wednesday I believe, but they are open some evenings so it was nice to have that option. The office was fairly easy to find and get to, it's located in a strip mall type building. The office was clean when I arrived. I had some paperwork to do and paid the fee for 1 alignment which was only $35. (It is definitely more cost effective to do a bundle deal if you plan to be back several times, I wasn't sure if I would be back as this was my first experience with a chiropractor ever). The alignment went well as far as I know haha, there were some limitations as I was 39 weeks pregnant at the time, but Dr Gunn was accommodating to that. It sounded like he prefers to see pregnant people a few times during their pregnancy for best results, but he definitely did what he could. I did some stretching and he used the massage gun on me as well. The room felt like there was enough space, but small enough to feel private. He was very professional and because it was my first time at a chiropractor, I really appreciated him explaining exactly what he was going to do and how it would help/why he was doing it. If I ever need chiropractic care again, I would not hesitate to return!

Our family began seeing Dr. Shaw about five years after both my wife and son got whiplash when a…read moredriver made an illegal U-turn in front of my wife. I took them to ER only to be offered some opioids for the pain with no other alternatives. My wife has had success with chiropractors in the past, but always sought the ones that were Activator certified. The Activator is similar to a pen that is spring loaded, allowing for very accurate adjustments without the "popping or cracking" in manual adjustments. For those that don't like the cracking noise, or have very sensitive necks, this works very well. My wife was very impressed with Dr. Shaw's abilities and encouraged me to see him for my neck and back issues. My neck had a limited range of motion from several injuries from the past, and driving was becoming an issue because I had turn my entire body to check for blind spots when changing lanes. After an initial screening, he began his work. I had never been to a chiropracter before but even after the first adjustment, I immediately felt so much better. The pain and stiffness in my neck and back were greatly reduced. After several adjustments and other therapies he provided, I had 100% range of motion in my neck. Five years later, the full range of motion is still there. I have Dr. Shaw to thank for that! I still go in occasionally for an adjustment , but my life since than has been much more tolerable allowing me to enjoy an active lifestyle. Dr. Shaw is great working with kids too. He helped out my son after that near collision five years ago. He was complaining of occasional dizziness, so naturally we took him to our pediatrician only to be told that there was nothing wrong with him. After one adjustment, my boy was feeling normal again. He still goes in a couple times of year when we notice he is out of alignment. I would strongly recommend Dr. Shaw as your chiropractor, he has a great demeanor, is very knowledgeable in this and all fields related to pain management and therapy and has great packages that allow this to be very affordable.
