I'm a pretty paranoid patient when it comes to someone touching my knee after surgery so I was so lucky and privileged to have found Sarah, who is such a pleasure to work with. She really listens to your needs, concerns, and areas of the body where better circulation needs to improve. On first visits, she gave me a lymphatic massage which really opened up my body's circulatory system to just have better blood flow, specifically the injured area, the knee. According to their website, "This modality is designed to assist the draining of toxins through the lymphatic system, a complex network of vessels, tissues and organs. Proper lymphatic draining can result in better moods, clearer skin, improved circulation, and increased energy." I've had this massage performed by Sarah a handful of times now and it really helped my body overall to just move better and feel better from within. As she suggested, it's also good to get this message when seasons change. Dr. Bob Lindberg is also a good chiropractor who also performed gua sha on my leg/around the knee area too.

I love that this place has a brush and hair products for when you get out and you can get ready to go in the room where you float. What I didn't love about this place compared to my one other experience is the float tank, if you want it dark is not completely dark because of the holes that let air out in the top and the prep room has light. I also couldn't figure out any music no matter what buttons I pressed. Also, the "air" that touched my body while floating was cool so I felt a little cold the entire hour. Even though I took the recommendation not to take a hot shower because the water was closer to 93 so it could feel like your body temp. I was just kind of cold the entire time. The staff was nice but I felt a little rushed by the older lady telling me I had 5 minutes to shower and get in the float pool before my hour session started. Found this place on ClassPass. When I checked our the staff didn't know what that was and asked me to wait while they called someone. I should have prepared for that because it unfortunately made me late to my next appointment and cut my time with them short. I would recommend calling ahead and line that up if that's an issue for you or leave extra time. Another difference is the place I went to before had more of a relaxation period before to get your mind ready. I couldn't and didn't completely relax while I was in there and no one asked me how my experience was after my float. They do have massage at this place so maybe if you go try a massage first then float? But when I'm back here I don't plan on repeating this exact experience.

When I filled out the intake form and it asked why I was seeking chiropractic care I didn't actually know what to say. I had just had a baby, and we bought the family discount pack, so it seemed like a good thing to do. But other than an old shoulder injury I didn't really have any issues. The adjustment from Suzeanne felt violent. I've never experienced an adjustment like that before from the handful of other chiropractors I have seen. And afterwards I was so dizzy that I couldn't drive home for almost an hour. She said it was increased blood flow to my brain after unblocking a restriction (makes sense). But afterwards I had a headache for a week and a half, and this weird catch in my neck that would only resolve if I let my head hang down for a while. My follow-up wasn't for two weeks because we were out of town, and I almost didn't go because of my previous experience. But she came so highly recommended, and I liked her so much personally, that I thought it was worth another try. I at least wanted to discuss my experience with her. The second adjustment wasn't anywhere near as violent, but the headache came back, and I can no longer resolve the catch by hanging my head. Now it's just constant pain. Hopefully this pain will go away at some point. It's been less than a week after the second visit and it took a massage to resolve it the last time (although the massage did not resolve the catch). But what I am mad at myself about is that I took my baby to see her a half dozen times before seeing her myself. Every single time my poor baby was super fussy for the rest of the day or even a couple of days. Suzeanne kept saying "that's not necessarily a bad thing," and I know that's true. But it wasn't a good thing!! Also we noticed no improvements in her reflux or suck. The idea that I might have let her hurt my baby the way that I got hurt is really tough to take. Again, I really liked Suzeanne a lot personally. But at the end of the day, I am in quite a bit of pain now when I wasn't in any before. Shame on me for messing with what wasn't broken I guess.

I made an appointment here after being highly recommended this practice in particular by my midwife to try and get aligned/make sure I was aligned to try and get labor to begin, or in the least to help things go smoothly once labor did begin. I've been told Dr Gunn does have plenty of experience with pregnant people and i was grateful for that. It was easy to call and schedule an appointment, they do have some weird hours on Wednesday I believe, but they are open some evenings so it was nice to have that option. The office was fairly easy to find and get to, it's located in a strip mall type building. The office was clean when I arrived. I had some paperwork to do and paid the fee for 1 alignment which was only $35. (It is definitely more cost effective to do a bundle deal if you plan to be back several times, I wasn't sure if I would be back as this was my first experience with a chiropractor ever). The alignment went well as far as I know haha, there were some limitations as I was 39 weeks pregnant at the time, but Dr Gunn was accommodating to that. It sounded like he prefers to see pregnant people a few times during their pregnancy for best results, but he definitely did what he could. I did some stretching and he used the massage gun on me as well. The room felt like there was enough space, but small enough to feel private. He was very professional and because it was my first time at a chiropractor, I really appreciated him explaining exactly what he was going to do and how it would help/why he was doing it. If I ever need chiropractic care again, I would not hesitate to return!

She worked for some time with a Chiropractor and learned some good techniques for dealing with chronic and acute back pain resulting from injuries. I suffered a major accident where a truck hit me from behind while I was riding my road bike up Little Cottonwood Canyon, and threw me down the ravine. It fully destroyed my pelvis, shattered a vertebrae, collapsed my left lung and broke several ribs, among other injuries too numerous to list here. Anyway, I have suffered severe chronic pain in my nerves, bones and muscles. Fortunately I found Sarah! She knows what she is doing and has helped to get circulation into muscles that are completely knotted up. She helps those muscles relax and the rest of my body is more relaxed in turn. Sarah helps reduce my sciatic pain for a period of time. Honestly, I wish I could see her about twice a week and I'm sure my chronic pain would not be quite so bad. Sarah also has experience massaging athletes after heavy training or a competition. She is incredibly strong and can massage deeper than I can handle, and have had to remind her of that. She also has a great fun personality for those times you want to talk, and can be totally quiet those times you are so blissfully relaxed your mind has seemingly left your body. I have always been Impressed by her knowledge of massage techniques, as well as her willingness to study in order to provide better care. In fact, I found her studying particular muscle groups so she would know better how to aid my recovery. That was above and beyond in my opinion. I've recently had a flareup in my back and have been in quite a bit of pain and have had a lot of tension throughout my entire back, likely caused from having a desk job combined with my poor posture. Dr. Canada was on vacation when I tried to schedule an appointment, but Dr. Daly was available and was able to squeeze me in for the first time last week. After my adjustment, my pain was gone instantly, although it started to creep back over the next few days. We scheduled another adjustment this week and she also gave me stretches to do between appointments with the goal of stretching and strengthening my back and muscles. Dr. Nelson made a huge impression on me from the very first phone call. Because of my situation I needed urgent care, and she went out of her way to get me in for my exam and treatment right away. Since starting my treatment, I've been continually impressed. Her office has multiple stations such as a rolling table & stim to do before the adjustment in order to get the most out of each visit. Her office also offers in house massage therapy and I have never seen a doctor work so closely with her massage therapist to make sure that they're both on the same page. I'm literally the worst when it comes to keeping appointments. Thankfully the staff there is diligent about sending out reminders so that I don't forget to show up. The most important thing I look for in a chiropractor though isn't convenience or fancy machines, it's trust, and above all I trust Dr. Nelson.
