Every room has a private bath, flat screen tv, wifi, etc. There is a beautiful sitting room with books and games galore, which we didn't use lol. They have fridge full of pop, water, juice, etc., and homemade cookies or scones available at all times. They are also phenomenal cooks. Our breakfast must've had about 5 courses, and was better than any breakfast place I've been to in Chicago. Very impressive! They have their coffee custom roasted and blended, and it's by far the best coffee I've ever had. The people themselves are very down-to-earth and friendly. I'm not one for socializing with people, we stayed here because it was cheaper than a hotel, nicer than a hotel, and included a much better breakfast than a hotel. I was very surprised to find myself talking with them for a half hour at breakfast, and actually enjoying it! When gas becomes affordable again, we're looking forward to driving out to Middlebury and staying here again.

Definitely worth a couple extra bucks. Amanda (the owner) and her family are so welcoming and make you feel right at home with an amazing breakfast. The rooms and bathrooms are incredibly clean, she brings cookies up every night and the fridge is always stocked with water and soda! The children are so precious and silly and make the rooms light up when they're around. Not even disruptive! There are movies to watch and DVD players and TVs in each room. We had the Solomon room. I'll put pictures down below. This family and business deserves everything wonderful. There's not much super close to eat so if you want a good place you may have to drive 20 or more minutes. There is a gorgeous porch out front that wraps around most of the side and is so nice to sit and just have a cup of coffee on in the mornings. Please please check this place out. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful gardens and a very friendly chonker cat named Lucy who will run up to you for pets (and might try to sneak inside the cottage if you let her). The breakfast was incredible with bacon, cheese eggs, perfectly done potatoes, and a platter of homemade pastries. The location is rural but it was close to the black pine animal sanctuary, and about 40 minutes away from Fort Wayne. It was a good springboard for all of the local breweries we planned to scope out, which there is a ridiculous amount of (or maybe not, you need something to keep you busy in these small towns).

We have had our motor coach in Nappanee for almost 2 months for various service and upgrade…read moreprojects. Since being here we have stayed several different places in South Bend, Elkhart, and Nappanee. Most shops give you the option of staying the nights in your rig but my bride isn't a fan of the 5:30am wake up knock. This house is by far the most comfortable, "home feeling" place we have been since we arrived here. We are staying in the the Coppes Suite and the room is spacious and clean. The bed and linens are very comfortable. We have slept very well. It's like sleeping at grandmothers house according to my wife. My wife has throughly enjoyed the huge bath tub, while I admit the hand shower has taken some getting used too for me. If you have trouble getting in and out of a tub, I would request different suite. Let's not forget the breakfast!! Yummy! Day one: Ham and egg cups, cheesy hash browns that would make Cracker Barrel jealous, toast with fresh strawberry jam, and a yogurt parfait. Day two: red pepper and cheddar cheese (local) omelette, roasted fingering potatoes, toast and a home made cinnamon roll! If you appreciate the classic architecture of a home built by community leaders from the mid 1800's. You will enjoy this place.
