We weren't sure about this place because there wasn't a Yelp page and reviews were hard to find online, but we couldn't have been happier with our stay. We stayed in the queen room. Everything was clean, quiet, and our hosts were extremely friendly. The game room was great, and the girlfriend even got in a quick workout on the elliptical machine. Getting out to South Bend for at least 1 game a year is a tradition- we will definitely book here again.

Walls are solid; can't hear other people. Had a recliner and a coach as well. Nice fresh breakfast. Friendly hosts. Easy access to downtown South Bend and several attractions.

The toilet and shower are separate from the vanity. They have a really good hot breakfast selection normally included with the stay. The elevator was down this time but I packed light, so it was no big deal. I received an email a few days before to let me know it was down. Which was thoughtful. Highly recommend staying here and it's right off of Notre Dame's campus. No pics, there are plenty on this platform to show the amenities.

Once we entered the front area had fresh tea, both regular & decaffeinated coffee and fresh chocolate chip cookies . Elevator was a little outdated but it worked fine. The rooms were spacious. Our unit had small refrigerator, microwave, and individual keurig. The breakfast was amazing and they even had fresh salsa. They have grab and go coffee which we enjoyed along our travels. As we checked in the moon was entering the earth's shadow, for a partial lunar eclipse, and the building provided a nice foreground as the moon moved and changed colors in the shadow. Travis is the man!…read more We came here for a hockey tournament over the MLK weekend. The first game wasn't until 1pm on a Saturday and with check-in being 3pm, we didn't think we'd be able to sneak in at 10am. Lo and behold, we were pleasantly surprised with Travis and his manager's decision to graciously allow us to check in early. After an almost 3-hour car ride, it was nice to get an hour to lay down and take a break from the car. The hotel room was clean and thankfully void of any smells, especially smoke related. It was a little tight for any more than two grown men, but we did have to get a king room so other larger hockey families could take the double beds. The bathroom had a glass partition versus a curtain, something I look for in a proper hotel. The lobby was modern with a lot of seating and places to enjoy the complementary breakfast. The staffing all around was friendly and helpful, with pleasant greetings and smiles. Overall, a decent value for the price. Decent facilities and the perfect location for a hockey tourney. We'd come back again!

There was a little snapper after 9 o'clock, and my husband went to the front desk and the manager took care of the issue immediately and made sure that we were compensated for the issue. We went down for breakfast in the morning and we were greeted by a very nice gentleman who had complete control of that area. If you couldn't find anything good to eat, you are very picky. As we went to leave, we checked out at the front desk and all the employees were very friendly and we're only interested if everything worked well for us. If I only have one thing to change in that hotel, it would be a little extra lighting in the handicap room. Absolutely put this on our list. The next time we come through South Bend. We've stayed at Holiday Inn express from New York down to Florida and from New York to Arizona and back. We only stayed at Holiday Inn express and this Holiday Inn express by far beat all the others.
