We began to appreciate the grand scale of this magnificent structure as we walked up the circle drive. Inside you start to appreciate the luxurious restorations all hand performed by the owner Ron as a culmination of his 30+ years in construction and interior design. The collection of pristinely preserved antiques are displayed through every inch of the interior. Despite the uniqueness of each piece, Ron has found a way to tie each room of the expansive 20+ thousand foot interior together perfectly, mirroring the original builders intent in the mid 1800s. We stayed in the stunning and spacious master suite, with its gold flecked walls with deep navy fleur de lis and double chandeliers cast a warm glow on our special anniversary. Ron provided a dura-flame log every evening, which burns clean in the functional fireplace. Every aspect to our lodgings supported elegance, from the sumptuous chaise lounges to the oriental themed paneled room divider. For these exhausted parents of two early elementary children, we felt like royalty. Ron and Dennis both hosted us in the wood paneled state dining room, where we could sit in a windowed corner sipping hot coffee made fresh and take in the grandeur. Our breakfast was custom made to our preferences with perfectly crafted vegetarian omelettes with maple bacon and well seasoned hash. Ron even fetched our dinner one evening from a restaurant downtown so we wouldn't have to leave our room! I had no idea this gem was hidden in Northern Indiana but I cannot recommend a stay Ron and Dennis's bed and breakfast enough. Thank you both for your accommodations and can't wait to stay again soon.

Dennis and Ron are consummate professionals who executed our event seamlessly. From the beginning, they were responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable. The inclusive nature of the venue made wedding planning relatively stress free - we just needed to handle the cake and photographer. The food, florals, DJ, decor, etc. were all handled through Beiger - and they were all fantastic. The food was definitely a highlight for our guests! Dennis did an amazing job keeping everything running smoothly on the day of the wedding. The mansion is stunning inside and out, which made for amazing photos and ambiance. You can tell how much thought was put into the appearance of every room. Members of our family and bridal party stayed there for a few days and loved it. It was such a beautiful place to start our marriage. Dennis and Ron were so delightful to work with. We wholeheartedly recommend them for any event -- especially a wedding!

You can walk across the street to watch the sun set on beautiful Lake Michigan or hop in the car and be in downtown St. Joseph and/or Silver Beach in less than five minutes. Many renowned wineries and vineyards are a short drive away and ready for you to tour. The proprietors are true professionals who are warm and engaging and yet perfectly sensitive to your desire for privacy. They accommodated our every need. My wife and I enjoyed a weekend here with four other couples. We arrived in the early evening on a Friday and enjoyed a wonderful happy hour in the kitchen and living room. We decided to stay off the streets and enjoyed some great pizza from Silver Beach Pizza. The next evening we took advantage of the beautiful back porch by grilling steaks and sitting down to an engaging evening of great food and lots of laughing. The breakfasts were stunning - worthy of a spread in a food magazine. The service was exceptional. I could not have felt more at home and relaxed. This place is a gem. I highly recommend anyone give it a try. Perfect for a group of friends or for a nice romantic getaway with your sweetheart. I can't wait to go back!

Meanwhile he dog woke us all up barking both mornings. Also, she locked us out one evening when we were quietly enjoying the back yard so we had to go around to the front of the house. If you're not a people person--don't have an inn.

They helped me with my bags and explained all the lovely extras in the room. The room (#5 - it had a name I can't remember) was lovely, peaceful. The bed was very comfortable. It was very clean, had a great shower. Good air conditioning. And the breakfasts were delicious and wholesome and freshly made (you have to try Ken's blueberry muffins - yum!). I would stay there again. There were several outdoor sitting areas that I enjoyed, one in the evening while sipping a glass of wine . And I asked for breakfast on the porch with the cool morning and filtered sunlight. It could not have been better. Plus they had reverse osmosis water system which I appreciated! Lovely, perfect stay! Great for couples, I'd say! I'll be returning there!

Their Bed and Breakfast shows that you can have a beautiful historical home and still enjoy modern comforts. The bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. I was able to begin the morning with a cup of coffee outside on their patio, listening to their water fountain and enjoying the still of the morning. They took our food allergies into consideration and prepared a filling and tasty breakfast. The only thing I regret is that we were only able to stay one night. Ron and Ken's Bed and Breakfast is the place to stay and we can't wait to find an excuse to go back!

Andy & Nita are fantastic hosts. We arrived and were greeted by Andy who quickly showed us to his version of "afternoon tea" which was wine and freshly baked cookies. Oh.my.God. They were delicious! We were given a tour of the property, along with some history. Andy took his time in explaining a map of the city and giving his recommendations for things to do and restaurants. This was such a nice and personal touch. We stayed in the Michigan Room. It was so warm and cozy. We felt right at home. This B&B is the perfect blend of modern and vintage. It definitely had the original charm of the home. But, it also has great modern conveniences such as an Apple TV, USB wall chargers and a pretty amazing shower. Entrance to the house, and your room, is by a personal code. Again, super cool:) There are towels aplenty and the bath robes are made from the worlds softest material. The house is located on a very quiet street which makes relaxing so easy. Do yourself a favor and take a walk around the neighborhood. The charm in the surrounding houses sends you back in time. It's a short 5 minute walk to downtown or to the beach. Breakfasts were amazing! On day 1, we had homemade stuffed cinnamon swirl french toast, fruit and yogurt parfait, an egg souffle and organic sausage. Day 2 was homemade cinnamon rolls, bacon and a caramelized apple, pecan and brie omelette. Whenever Andy wants to cook for you, just say yes because it's going to be heavenly! It was so nice sitting with Andy and the other couple for some fun and informative conversation. Overall, the personal touches are what set this B&B above and beyond any experience we've previously had. Thank you, Andy & Nita!
