They were transporting school buses, this happened at a loves truck stop in Greenup, IL at approximately 5:20, July 16th, 2017. We also watched the group play highway games with each other. The lead driver would pretend to exit then wildly swing back on the highway in an effort to trick the other drivers. They were the most unprofessional drivers I have ever seen. An old, grizzled, road-weary trucker would be preferred to this belligerent, unpredictable crew any day of the week.

My nephew was with me just visiting with me, not staying there, but he pointed to the jacuzzi tub and asked "What's that?" There was some sort of nasty residue on the edge and near the drain of the tub. Gross! Ok but nothing that cant be cleaned (though it SHOULD have been cleaned between guests!) According to the "manager" on duty they dont have housekeeping staff on site. Understandable considering the labor shortage, but when I asked if she could please clean it, she said "Not my problem. I can cancel your reservation." Uh...I just drove 2.5 hours to get here to visit family. How is canceling my room last minute a solution at all? I offered to clean it myself for a small discount. "No discounts!" she YELLS at me. Then she answers her cell and speaks in Hindi and some guy comes out of the back room and threatens to call the police if I dont leave, stating "You're not welcome here, we are cancelling your reservation!" Seriously??? Because I insisted that the facilities in my room be cleaned? And all this in front of my bewildered 11 year old nephew who has never in his life seen someone be so openly hostile. This is the HOSPITALITY industry. Not the HOSTILITY industry! I went down the road to a hotel with a pool and got a jacuzzi suite for $2 less and the lady who was just as thinly spread labor wise walked with me TO MY ROOM to make sure it was ok! I was also concerned that the driver was frequently distracted by his phone-making calls and texts, as well as scrolling-for much of the drive. It was a very disheartening experience, and I believe it could have been avoided if the driver had been more attentive. Based on this experience, I won't be using South Bend Taxi again. EDIT: I've read the owner's response and would like to clarify a few points. The accident occurred on an empty street around 5:30 AM with no traffic, and I was the one who contacted the police. We resumed our trip after the officer arrived and the police report was completed, as the officer said that an insurance claim couldn't be filed if the driver left prior to completion. I can't say I noticed if the neighborhood was "sketchy" as the response claims, but I'm also not certain I see how it's related to the incident. While I've had several successful rides with this company in the past, I've consistently observed drivers using their phones directly in hand, not via Bluetooth. Regarding reimbursement, I had not been informed of any prior to reading this reply; the owner simply asked me to reach out, and when I called, I received no response. Unfortunately, the company's reply seems to misrepresent the situation at certain points. I'll add a star to my rating because I appreciate the positive experiences I've had previously and can confirm that I've had good customer service in the past, but I remain concerned about the recurring inattentiveness I've witnessed while riding with this company
