We have tried 10 days in advance at 12:01am, which is the earliest we are aware of and they are still not available. Since our foursome enjoys the course, we have been trying to book a Saturday morning tee time for more than a year and regardless of what or when we try we can never get on the course during the late Spring, Summer, or Fall. Seems like they accept standing tee times far in advance causing the course not to be public friendly. Certainly wish we could play on a Saturday morning!

Both the staff and other golfers were incredibly rude and made snide comments about pace of play, asking us to make sure we hurried despite us not being able to play earlier and not needing to do so. They were probably feeling empowered to do so just because we were a group of girls. I would not recommend this course to anyone female and under the age of 50 unless you enjoy being talked down to.

It is a fun…read morecourse that can be challenging from the tips, family owned as I understand, and we usually have a good time. Over the last month each week the course has gotten worse. They have let some kind of rot creep under the greens. We have watched it get worse consistently over the past month until the last weekend when they were completely unputtable. To make matters worse the greens and much of the fairways were hard pan. I knew we were in trouble on the very first hole when I had a 100 yard lob wedge straight down the chimney that landed on the front of the green bounced 5 ft high and rolled off the back. To make matters worse they raised prices this year and have let the course go to crap. I really like this course but it is simply not worth the money. I really want this place to do well but won't be playing it again unless it gets significantly better. We made a tee time on the course for the next weekend at elks run. It's worth a few dollars more to us to not have to put up with the aggravation. I figure over the last 3 years we've spent at least $8,000 at twin oaks. I just don't know how they're going to survive.

Hadn't, so the lady behind the counter quickly explained some of the rules, carts crossing fairways, fixing ball marks on greens, etc. Course conditions were very good. The only other review listed here shows from 10 years ago. Hey Yelp! You may want to consider deleting that one. 10 years?? Anyway, course conditions were very good. I guess my only complaint/concern was the actual cart paths needed some major work in spots. Other than that, really well done and conditioned course. Challenging? Yes, I'd say so. Lots of different elevations throughout. But not difficult to walk, if that's your desire. The greens were in good shape. However, very challenging. Lots of slopes to deal with. And, a couple of holes, well, the grounds keeper (or whatever they call the guy that places the cup positions, must be a spawn of the devil on a couple of holes! Holes were placed ON the slope, so if you landed your shot to the green, beyond the cup, then missed it on the putt, you easily rolled off the green. Or at least the the lip. All in all, a super nice course, well laid out, well taken care of. There is dress code, no jeans, no t shirts. No big deal on that. $40 for 18 holes, so, about average price for 18 with a cart. Tee boxes and greens are the two areas on a course that should be in the best shape in my opinion. Most of the tee boxes where burnt up or had a lot of crabgrass growing on them. Two words: Hidden gem…read more Whenever I am feeling stressed or if it is an abnormally beautiful summer night I love to come here and hit off the top dock. I have been playing golf since I was three years old and this is a perfect oasis for me. It's quiet, serene and you can even get a strawberry shortcake ice cream in the shop. WIN! There is a small pro shop at the end of the long entrance. A basket of balls comes in $5 or $10. The large is $10 and is more than enough. This will last you about an hour. There are three places to hit, all of which go into a beautiful lake. The top deck which is my favorite, the tee's, and the grounds. The tee's are somewhat unpredictable and if it's hot out there is NO shade. My favorite part are the different colored boats in the water. If you hit any of them you pretty much win the day. My only real complaint about this place was that I didn't have my clubs one day and I just wanted to stop by and hit some, and the clubs that they have are rusty and straight out of the 70's. It might be a good investment for even a few new ones. So be advised -- bring your own clubs. Other than that, this is one of my all time favorite places to pass the time. Check it out!
