Lassing Pointe is our home away from home summer to fall. Our daughter plays in the PGA jr. League at Lassing with Adam Fangman. We have done another PGA Jr. league and was disappointed with it. Adam is amazing! He is wonderful with the kids and personalizes the experience per kid. After Covid his program became very crowed, but he compensated by having many helpers. If you are trying to get your kid into golf Adam is the one to go too! Our daughter has also taken many private lessons with Russ the Pro at Lassing and he is just as great! He has improved her swing and her confidence that she needed. I would recommend Lassing to anyone. The course itself is rather difficult for a amateur golf like myself, but is very enjoyable to play! They also have a driving range which is nice! read more

Challenging course, well maintained, very large greens, many bunkers. Staff very welcoming. Expect to walk a bit due to hilly nature of the terrain. Bring your "A" game & extra golf balls. But a fair course at a decent rice. Lunch area available, looked nice but we did not take time to stop there. Nice practice green, chipping green separate & driving range. read more

I arrived Saturday 6/24 as a single - I'm always a single -& they fit me right in. Any course that lets me park my semi truck is already awesome. It had rained before, so the bunkers had water in them & it was cart path only. Understandably so. It was my first time on the course, so I got a free yardage book that was greatly appreciated. The course was crowded, but I eventually joined the group that was going to let me play through. Turns out, they were soon to be partying frat boys. Seriously, they had all just graduated from the high school down the street. They were also part of the grounds crew. I'm horrible with names - but I had a great time playing with Zack, Sam, Chase?? & another young man. Sorry! I had a lot of fun & they were hilarious. I wish them all the best. #BreakAHip The course was very impressive. It's a bigger challenge when the wind picks up. When I played, the greens were soft and we were shooting darts. I would urge this course to hand out a divot repair tool instead of yardage books. This is a good course that will be ruined if players don't fix their ball marks. Come to Lassing Pointe golf course if you want to get lousy customer service from Geezer Grumpy Greg who will not take a tee time for 9 holes. Don't forget the outrageously expensive course that is essentially a cow pasture with flags. I have attempted to plate the course many times only to be turned away because there was an outing or at 3pm I needed a tee time on an empty course. Northern Kentucky has many golf course play those avoid Lassing Dump. Actually they have upgraded the course it's now a mortar range with flags. My favorite part is the smell in the clubhouse, either rotten meat or good cheese. Keep I'm up the good work! read more

I golfed this course yesterday and today. Yesterday's round was very slow due to a foursome in front of us that was going very slow. We didn't mind though since we were the only ones impacted. Then today on the front 9 there was a threesome in front of us that was incredibly slow! It caused a huge back up. By the back 9 we lost the group because we grabbed food, but then in the back 9 one group wanted to play through us even though at every tee we were waiting a minute or two for the group in front of us, so we let them. Then the ranger came by and told us WE!!!! needed to golf faster, even though we were keeping up with the group in front of us and even had to wait to tee off. We explained that the group behind us asked if they could play through and the old man basically scolded us. I would NOT recommend this course. The customer service is absolutely terrible. There's a way to keep the pace moving and there's a way not to. Maybe they should try to investigate the actual source of the hold up. The manager should definitely work on the employees customer service. I should mention 3/4 of the members that golfed in our group, golf in the 80-90s range. We're not terrible golfers. read more

Played at Lassing twice in 2019. First time was on a warm day in Dec. 11 am tee time that was pushed back until 12:30 due to frost delay. Why they would have taken 9:30 am tee times in Dec when everyone knew there would be frost I have no idea. Played again yesterday and the round was 5 hours and 40 mins. Why? Cart Path only. We have had a ton of rain but almost all the fairways were fine to drive on. Why not take the time to see which fairways are actually too wet to drive on and only make those holes cart path only. And why not re-evaluate it very couple hours. It would just take a little bit of effort. I'd give this a 1 at best. No way this is even close to being rated top 10 in KY. They've let the tee boxes and sand traps go and the traps are hard mud. Tee boxes are mounded so when you tee off there is no flat surface. I'm a 7 handicap so if you want better do not play here. Fairways and greens are good I'll give them that but this course used to be spot on great. They've neglected it unfortunately and it shows. read more

A great golf course design, providing a lot of challenging holes. It's not the kind of course where you hit driver every hole, but does provide plenty of opportunities to crank one down the fairway. It'll appeal to the kind of golfer that likes to play smart and wants a challenge to his game. It'll give you the opportunity to use every club in your bag. It was ranked by Golf Digest as one of the top 100 public courses in the US. I personally think they capitalize on that a bit, as the green fees were a little high, and sometimes the course is not in the best shape due to the grounds crew slacking it seems. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. read more

I have played here twice now, and both times the course has been in great shape. The staff is friendly, and the course wasn't crowded. Playing it at this time of year is usually tough (due to leaves), but the staff did a great job of keeping the course clean. read more

The course itself is one of the better courses in the area but the staff are extremely rude. I used to golf here almost weekly years ago and it was always great. Unfortunately that is not the case now. We played the day after some very heavy rain so the course was understandably very wet. Bunkers were filled with water but for the most part the course was in decent shape for how much it had rained the day before. The course was cart path only which naturally slows things down a bit. We were told, surprisingly aggressively, by the ranger on 3 separate occasions between holes 8 and 9 that we we needed to speed up. I looked around, surprised, because the group behind us was at least 10 minutes behind and they were friends of ours so even if they caught up to us it wouldn't be an issue. Once we made it back to the clubhouse after the front 9 we stopped to grab some beers and a bite to eat (very good cheese burgers). We were approached again while we ate and told that we needed to take our food and go to 10 tee. After spending nearly $50 in their concession area I did not appreciate being rushed. If groups behind us wanted to play through they were more than welcome to. Also we were waiting to have a beer with our friend group behind us. We decided we didn't want to continue to play the back 9 under constant harassment so we asked for our money back for the remaining 9 holes and went home. I've played many courses all across the country and this is the first time anything like this has ever happened to me. It's very unfortunate that a great public course like this has such an unfriendly staff (besides the young lady working the concessions, she was very nice.) I will not be golfing here anymore. read more

This course is truly great! The greens are taken care of. This is not a forgiving course. A lot of Par 4's and 5's. The greens are speed lighting fast, and the $50 cost is worth it! The staff is nice and helpful. The golf carts are electric, so they are slow. Their are several lakes you have to hit over making some of the Par 3's tricky. The course has awesome views of nature as well. The club house offers some great burgers and hot dogs to eat while taking a break! read more

Our group plays this course a few times a year as we all love the layout. We played it yesterday and the greens were in the best condition we can remember...fast...beautifully manicured. the bunkers which have been marginal in the past were in much better condition. The only thing keeping this course from getting my 5 star rating is the condition of many of the tees on many of the holes. So many were uneven with a discernible raised raised ridge running from front to back causing you to tee your ball up higher or lower than your feet. Some of the tees not having this issue were simply not level. If they would regrade and regrass these tees this would be a premier place to play. read more
