Shockingly, I have struggled with getting complete answers, my drugs on time, been shorted pills, acknowledgment of a prescription called in and all without the slightest care for my safety or comfort. Rudeness seems to prevail. There have been many pharmacies I have depended upon in my life, but this one is the very worst of the lot. I have to say, I'm stunned by their lax and uncaring attitude along with any of the positive reviews I see online. I must depend on them as the nearest other pharmacy is miles from here and I cannot keep making that trip, thus here I stay...quite unhappily. read more

Rude!!! I always liked the idea of a small, local pharmacy. It seems like since they moved to the new location, the service has declined. The two women working the register are EXTREMELY RUDE and show no empathy for someone who is trying to pick up medication after surgery. They put a hold on the medication without notifying us that it wouldn't be ready. I would hope for some compassion & understanding. And maybe an explanation as to why they do/don't do something. Maybe they figure they are the only game in town so they don't have to be professional or polite. I wouldn't buy a greeting card from them at this point! read more

I was glad to have a local pharmacy when I needed to fill my prescription for antibiotics the day after going to the hospital. Excellent service. I also picked up some antiseptic and gauze at reasonable prices. I added an extra star because they have Arnold logo caps and T-shirts! read more

Unkind. Totally unhelpful. I'm visiting from out of town, had a simple question but the man on the phone seemed to be bothered by my call. Had to call pharmacies all the way in Sonora and Merced. I undergo he was unable to help but it was the cold, unfriendly, no interest in assisting me with my prescription. read more

I have had prescriptions filled at the pharmacy several times, no problem. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, I am disappointed with the over-the-counter selection of medicines and first-aid supplies. This is the only pharmacy in Arnold, and there is no "drugstore" in town. The selection is meager. Which often leaves with the choice of either going without, or driving down the hill. read more

I've been doing business with this place for over 40 years. They pay their help so little they have a constant churn of pharm tecs and counter people. They also have a very limited inventory and often have to special order any drugs outside the mainstream. They are not open on weekends, you can't pick up an Rx at lunchtime, and they no longer track prescription renewal dates on their computer so you have to tell them when you need a refill. The only advantage is that they are the closest pharmacy for the next 20 miles. read more

Should be zero stars. These are very rude people. The woman who answered the phone today was angry from the minute I called. She was extremely impatient throughout my explanation that my mail order prescription plan could not fill my order before my surgery in 3 days. She didn't even let me finish when she informed me they would not fill my prescription because I'm not a full time patient even though I knew I would have to pay cash. What service does this pharmacy provide for our small Mountain community? They may dole out a few prescriptions for people who meet THEIR requirements but over the years I have been told they don't take Medicare, they don't fill Paxlovid for people who are so stupid as to contract COVID, they aren't open on weekends, they can't dispense during lunch, they overcharge whenever possible and they won't fill an all cash, last minute RX for a one week supply of pain meds I needed for my aforementioned back surgery that was 3 days away. I've lived and worked here almost 50 years, raised my children here, and know what wonderful people the original owners were. So disappointing what is happening in that store. I wouldn't buy a pack of gum there. read more

Be careful with prescriptions! My daughter was given blood pressure meds instead of her thyroid meds! Me... well I have been shorted pills 3 times! When I brought it to their attention I was accused of someone in my house taking them... I am a 60 yr old widow and live alone! One time I was short 3 pills, another time short 4 on one prescription and 5 on another filled at same time and this last time short a full week! I am going down to Murphys instead...do not need the accusations for their fault... first time I was told that their "scales must be off" meaning they fill them by weight not count! Second time I did not bring it to their attention, third time is when they accused me of having a family thief! read more

Correction Yelp, it's Meadowmont Pharmacy, not Meadow Mount. Owned by one of my dad's friends, the pharmacy offers gifts, over the counter medications and of course prescription services. I've known some of the employees since before I was even born, and they are all really helpful and friendly. Great place if you need drugs (legal of course) when in Arnold. read more

The best pharmacy! I have nothing but great things to say about this pharmacy and especially Jim the pharmacist. I have children with medical issues and severe anaphylaxis to certain ingredients and Jim has always caught any ingredients and gone out of his way to make sure they are safe, even checking flavorings. I've lived in Arnold for years. This is the only pharmacy in Arnold. So needless to say I get all of my prescriptions from them. I have NEVER been to this pharmacy yet that I haven't had a problem. They have messed up with billing, giving me someone else's prescription, you name it they've done it. I am seriously considering making the 45 minute trip to sonora just to get my prescriptions from Walmart. read more

What a nightmare. I'm visiting from another state and had to get a prescription transferred. They claimed they couldn't get in touch with my regular pharmacy to get it transferred. I called my pharmacy and they said the Meadowmont people should call them, which they did, a day later, and finally got it straightened out. I wen to the pharmacy around 1:30 to pick up, and was informed that the medicine had to be mixed with water, which *only* the pharmacist could do it and he was at *lunch*. Seriously, it shouldn't take 36 hours for me to get my daughter's medicine that she has to take once a day. read more

Wow Patient's Beware! The service is terrible. I am traveling and had my personal physician phone in my prescriptions. When I arrived I was told that no one ever phoned them in. I know they contacted the pharmacist because I actually work for my personal physician. When I returned later they again told me that "no one has ever called" after letting me wait for a half hour ! Never received the prescription!! I also tried to use the same pharmacy a year ago on vacation and had a similar experience. But this time I was told I did not have insurance. After multiple phone calls, they were using the wrong birthday date ! Again, never received my scrip. I had to go to CVS. I highly recommend not using this pharmacy. Jim the owner is only concerned about making money there's nothing community-oriented about the store both and Groveland and in Arnold California had a situation where I need a letter to present to the local hospital regarding treatment I was gave for my local doctor's office were prescription where hold up due to issues with a prior off they told me to call the doctor's office doctor office in like be calling asked if I get my prescription filled I have now been released from my doctor because of this fact and when I asked the pharmacy to write a letter indicating there was a holdup they decided to hold their legal department and decided not to we give me the letter of what they had me do their products are overpriced and overall garbage bought a travel kit for a trip the socks had a hole in within seconds the travel bag is self tour with in the store when looking at the product and the stitching gave out on the travel pillow as well you're better off going to a corporate store there's nothing community-oriented about the store you're better off going to a name brand store at least there you'll get better product and other services read more

The people at this pharmacy are inept. I forgot my medication at home. I called my doctors office and they called in my medication. The pharmacy said they had nothing. it was called in again and again they said they had nothing. I went next door to the urgent care and got a hand written prescription. Dropped it off, gave required information, said I would pay cash. They told me it would take 20 minutes, I waited patiently in the waiting area. After an hour I inquired about my prescription and they said they had nothing for me! I left without any medication. Don't use this pharmacy! Drive down the hill to CVS! read more

I was visiting the area and became ill, my regular doctor called in a prescription to Meadowmont Pharmacy. I called and verified that they had received the request from my doctor and went over to pick it up. They asked if I has insurance and I showed my insurance card. The paperwork had been prepared for no insurance, so it needed to be redone based on my insurance. The updated paperwork was completed in just a couple of minutes, and I was on my way. The staff were friendly, helpful, and sympathetic, as I was not feeling very well. The medication was exactly what my doctor told me was being prescribed. Very positive experience, thanks! read more

I have done business with the current owners predecessor and was delighted with their service and helpfulness. The new owners are arrogant and incompetent. I was recently hospitalized with a serious v-tach. Doctors Hospital in Modesto called in several prescriptions upon my release. When I went to pick them up they did not match the RX list I received when I was discharged. The pharmacist argued with me and I had to call the hospital to have them resubmit the RX and correct them. When I went back one was still wrong and again I had to call the hospital and have them straighten it out. The pharmacist refused to take back the wrong RX . My doctor in Modesto called in another RX on Friday, May 22. When I went in to pick it up I was told it was on hold and refused to fill it and said I had to call the MD who had prescribed it.That I will do tomorrow and have it filled elsewhere. read more

The girls were all nice and helpful but a problem came up and the manager was awful. She was completely disrespectful and accusatory. I even overheard her yelling at her employees in the back. up at vacation home. ran out of meds. had prescription called in from kaiser. they claimed never to have gotten the fax/call. had to make several calls to kaiser pharmacist, waiting my whole life on the line... was urgent, meadowmont pharmacy never bothered to call me even though it had been ready for 2 hours!! grouchy arrogant staff always trying to get away with the least amount of customer help. rip-off prices, pill container i wanted was almost 9bucks and its 5 bucks in sacramento. i call it" locational blackmail", as they are the only pharmacy within 20 minutes and we often have severe snows... have to look into mail order pharmacies. have to count the pills next time. fair warning read more
