I've been with Donaldson for 4 years now and they are incredible. They are friendly and efficient. Their office is quite, with plenty of waiting space and a really beautiful fish tank. Dr. Ardron is great, cares for his patients and ensure quick and efficient appointments. I reccomend all my friends who need eye care to Donaldson. I was referred here a few years back by a coworker and I am glad that this is the practice I ended up with. They also have a vision center for glasses shopping right accross the parking lot. Tried to get a prescription sent to my wife while we were away from home 120 miles away 3 phone calls later dr Ardron came on the phone and launched a tirade of abuse and told me i was inappropriate several times then called me an asshole and go find an eye doctor in Vacaville or ahospital and hung up my wife and I were speechless read more

Last October 2022 I went to Donaldson Eye Care to have Dr Perry Haugen to have my Left Eye have Cataract Surgery. It was a Nightmare! The Anesthesiologist didn't give me enough anesthesia to make my Left Eye numb. My head was numb but not my eye. I told Dr Haugen that my eye wasn't numb, he preceded anyway. I felt burning, grinding, sawing, and I told him to Stop. He didnt. He kept going removing my lid. So so much burning. After about a week I had a terrible Eye Infection for 2-3 weeks. It was awful, couldn't see well because of the Infection and swelling in my Eye. I had to wear shades all the time because light was so awful to bear. I went back to see Dr Haugen and he said he cut the Incision too close to my Eye Lid for the catarac. No one was around when he told me this. He spent 5 minutes with me and raced on to his next patient. He could have cared less about my infected eye. I even took pictures of my infected eye he caused. I did use the Eye Drops constantly he called into the pharmacy for me. I wouldn't take my dog to this butcher. He needs to retire. I've had friends have Cataracts Surgery and no nightmare experience like I went through with Dr Haugen at Donaldson Eye Care in Sonora, Calif. DO NOT GO THERE! After the medical team Not giving me enough anesthesia to numb my Eye and Dr Haugen drilling, grinding, sawing, and the horrific Burning No One should have to go through this Nightmare Experience ever! read more

I am in total agreement with Janet D.'s assessment of Dr. Haugen. I only wish I would have read hers and "John V.'s" assessments before allowing him and his partner Dr. Adams (NOT an opthamologist) near my eyes. I absolutely believe "Janet D." and "John V." were given the same insensitive treatment as I was, including the strong possibility that one or both of "Janet D"'s surgical procedures was actually done by his optometrist partner - who is not board-certified to perform surgery. Please look elswhere for ethical, experienced care. read more

This my second review regarding the lack of timely service; my last two visits have been a huge disappointment; I have waited an average of two hours to be seen for my eye exam. The lack of patient engagement is noteworthy, the extremely efficient front office workers are to be commended! Unfortunately I can't say the same for the providers. I am willing to wait a reasonable amount of time to be seen past the scheduled appointment, but the lack of communication from the back office and apparently the providers when they are delayed is not only disrespectful but shows the staff that clients are not valued as patients. I will take my business elsewhere, take a serious look at your scheduling protocol. John read more

Dr. Ardron and staff gave me a new way too SEE the world with lens implants. Wow. And, Dr. Craig W. Adams, when I was stupid and forgot to wear my safety glasses, saw me with NO appointment at 4:30 in the afternoon on a Friday a month back, instead of me having to go to the ER. Quickly and professionally he fixed my painful eye and sent me on my way. I couldn't recommend Donaldson Eye Care and staff more highly. In 25 years I've not had this kind of service from eye docs. read more

Went there today 9/18 2013 with wife Kathy. Exam was very thorough checking all aspects of the eyes including dilation. We were both very satisfied with Dr Adams and his staff. Very professional and very courteous. No problem with getting our prescription which was professionally written and easy to understand. We opted to take our prescription and purchase our Glasses in Groveland. We are from Groveland and like to support local businesses. read more
