I'm more of a red wine type of gal, but their whites were delicious. Our server was very attentive to our needs. My niece spilled her mocktail and they replaced it. That was very generous of them. I visited Meadowcroft today as one of my birthday celebrations. It's located in the Cornerstone Market Place and offers plenty of parking. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and kind. The space is very cute; the lights over the bar are darling. They've got fun gifts including soaps, candles, olive oil, spices, and T-shirts. All of the wines I tasted were yummy, but the Zinfandel was my favorite. A tasting is very affordable- if you purchase two or more bottles of wine, the tasting fee is free. This was a wonderful experience! read more

My friends and I did a wine blending experience with Meadowcroft, and it was amazing! Elaine was our excellent host, who gave us a fun tour of the grounds to start. We got to taste a few different reds and mix a couple blends together. It was so cool to pick how much of each to put in our "perfect blend," and to cork and label the bottle!! We had a fabulous time at this winery! We came as a group of 6 on a rainy Saturday morning in November. We discovered this place because it is in the Priority Wine Pass for 2-for-1 tastings. We were pleasantly surprised to find out they were actually doing free tastings during our visit! Which makes the service we received during our tasting even more appreciated. They are located in a cute shopping complex with other places to explore nearby. We sat inside at a beautiful wooden table with a TV screen showing videos/photos of their vineyard. They also have a covered patio with lots of plants that is really cute! One person in our group is pregnant and could not drink. Our host, Elaine, brought out several non-alcoholic drink options for her free of charge which was so kind--they even poured it into a wine glass for her to feel included! She gave us a sparkling rose to start off our tasting, an addition to the regular tasting menu. We got to choose 4 wines to try from their list of 10 for the flight, we loved that we got to choose which wines were part of our tasting since we all have different preferences! I'm more of a white wine girl and really loved the French Colombard, I purchased a bottle to take home! There were 2 Cabs in their tasting menu, our host encouraged my husband to try the more expensive one and explained why it is better--this was a pleasant surprise for a group that was there doing a free tasting. She even brought out chocolates and a dessert wine for us to have at the end! We ended up getting to taste 6 different wines during this tasting which was amazing. Elaine told us a lot of the history of Meadowcroft and shared details of some events they have at the winery like their wine blending events. She let us see the wine aroma charts and talked with us about different scents and flavors of wine! I'd love to come for one of those events sometime. We felt like Elaine went above and beyond for our service, we had to thank her for such a great experience here by buying several bottles of their wine! We called before 4:30pm on a Saturday to see if we could drop in to do a tasting before they closed at 5pm. The lady was nice and said we will need to get a glass of wine each if we came. Which was fine because we got to taste all the wines on the tasting menu before we committed to a glass. It wasn't busy. Wine was ok. I went with the sparkling blanc de noirs. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. You get to take the plastic wine stemless glass home as souvenirs. We even got to walk around the garden area with our wine. read more

Is this my first review for Meadowcroft?! Shame On Me! I've been a wine club member for over 5 years. This is the longest wine club I've been in as their wines and their service NEVER disappoint. The wine club I'm in ships 4x per year and they pick the wines. However, I can change the 4 wines or add to them if I like. Their web site is super user friendly and easy to update your wine club selections. PLUS... I love Elaine! She's a Gem! ... and she's been there for like ... Ever. She signed us up years ago and helps me when I have special requests. Their wines... I love them All... All The Time. I rarely say that about wineries. Usually there are some that are hit n miss from year to year... or just don't 'do it' for me. Meadowcroft has my palate profile down perfectly. Love It All. Do NOT ask me what my favorite Meadowcroft wine is. It's the one that is open at any given time. Their wines are affordable and easy to drink. Some more affordable than others of course but they have a range depending on your budget. Definitely more affordable than most of Sonoma/Napa. Some wines definitely need to be paired with food while others can stand alone as a Porch Pounder. Now... I understand that everyone's palate is different. So, some may like their wines like me, but others do not. Just because I like it, doesn't mean you will. However, go with an open mind and an open palate to experience what they have to offer. This last visit we did a Blending Class. So much fun. Now... you don't get to blend anything you want. This time there were 4 Bordeaux varietals to choose from... Cab Sauv, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. We tasted, We talked, We played with wine. Good Times all around. We each left with our own bottle of wine at the end too. Note: they do not have a bathroom inside their tasting room. The public bathrooms are on the other side of Folktable... just around the corner. Sonoma offers a plethora of alternatives, just a short drive away, so I'd recommend going elsewhere for superior wines, ambiance, and service. Unless of course you are bad planners like us and found the one place that accommodated a large group last minute. The wines fall within the realm of mediocrity. They neither impress nor disappoint, making this place a suitable option for those seeking affordability without sacrificing quality entirely. The pricing of the wines aligns with expectations for the region and tastings are decent value. However... Throughout our visit, the server's visible eye rolls and terse tone left us feeling unwelcome. Her attitude resembled a passive-aggressive "Karen" who was offended that we came into her shop, because we didn't fit a certain profile. Granted our group included family members who are not all wine enthusiasts. But Instead of providing guidance or just giving us more time, her impatience was palpable, creating a less-than-welcoming atmosphere where everyone just drank their tastings as fast as possible so we could leave. We had a great tasting today with David. We're a little "difficult" when it comes to tastings because we pretty much exclusively drink white wines. David was great, happy to accommodate our personal tastes, even opening bottles so that we could get a good sampling of Meadowcroft's offerings. David knew a lot about both the wines and the Sonoma area, giving us pointers on other wineries that have a good white assortment to try afterwards. Not only are the wines excellent, but the owner, Tom and staff are very kind. I once had a less than stellar experience (awhile ago) and Tom went out of his way to make it right. I really appreciate the outstanding customer service, especially in this day and age. Meadowcroft wines are so good and my family and friends have never been disappointed. They have seating outside in front and also a lovely back patio. Or, you can sit inside. Meadowcroft has a wide selection of wines - a sparkling, good whites and nice reds. I always find wines that I want when I visit. In addition to the wines, they have a fun boutique area. Last time we were here, my friends bought some cute dog toys shaped like wine bottles. What an adorable little tasting room! I've been to Cornerstone Sonoma a few times before, but this was my first time tasting at Meadowcroft Wines. Some friends and I stopped by for a tasting before having lunch nearby in the area. I should first mention that the service is exceptional here. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the staff. It's not often that you get to meet the winemaker in person, but Tom Meadowcroft was there that day and it was truly a pleasure to meet him. There are two tasting options: $15 for their classic tasting and $20 for their reserve tasting (both waived with a bottle purchase). We decided to go with their classic tasting since it was our first time there. I really enjoyed all of the wines, but the standouts for me were their Pinot Noir and French Colombard. The Pinot was light and well balanced. I rarely ever see French Colombard served as its' own varietal, so I was excited to try it. As I thought, I instantly fell in love with it. It was so hot out, and this definitely helped to cool me down. It was crispy and citrusy. I loved it so much that I purchased a bottle (one of my friends did too). Although we did the classic tasting, our sommelier was kind enough to pour us their Anniversary Cuvée blend, and damn was it delicious! I love red blends and this was right up my alley. I loved their cute indoor setup and their adorable logo glasses! The tasting room has a very relaxing atmosphere. While we were there, we decided to do a tour of their property. Guess who was our tour guide? Tom Meadowcroft himself! If you decide to do a tour (which you should), ask for Tom if you can. He was just so passionate about their grounds and the entire wine making process. This was probably one of the most detailed wine tours that I've ever taken at a winery before! During the tour, he should us around the Cornerstone Gardens which were stunning. He explained the process of veraison and showed us the difference between Pinot Noir and Chardonnay Vines. I was even able to taste some of the berries. It was amazing! You should definitely do the tour too if you can. I wouldn't have even thought that there was a garden or that they grew their own vines on the property had I not done the tour. We really enjoyed ourselves here! I'm so happy that we decided to stop by while in Cornerstone Sonoma. I am definitely looking forward to do more tastings here soon. read more

This place was really nice! And if you're not aware, it's one of the places where a Priority Wine Wine Pass works for getting two tastings for the price of one! So I was able to get me and my sis tastings for only $25! If you haven't been to wine country before, you should know that tastings can get expensive, so whenever you can get some sort of deal, you should go for it. I promise that you'll get your money's worth in literally two tastings. ​ Most of the wines in our tasting were pretty good, as well! The few that I didn't like, I just didn't drink. Also, if you didn't know this already (I feel like it's just a commons sense thing), but they don't allow people to sleep on the couches outside lol. There were a couple of ladies who had clearly been winery hopping that tried to sleep on the couch during their tasting, and Meadowcroft was having none of it. Seriously though, when you get tired like that, stop winery hopping and go back to your hotel for a good snooze session. The wineries will always be there when you wake up. ​ The cutest thing about this place though, was that the patio was surrounded by grapevines! Literally, right by your table as you're sipping on your wine, you can see the grapes growing off the vines right next to you. It's super cute and Instagram worthy! ​ Also, there's a lot of cute shops in this little area. If you feel like shopping after some wine, come here! read more

What a lovely tasting room! Winemaker Tom Meadowcroft introduced himself when I walked into his tasting room and started taking pictures. I noticed there was a wine experience happening with a group of friendly visitors and was curious about it. Tom explained it was a blend of 4 different reds you mix together, take notes, and create your own your concoction of wine. Then you get to take your own version of "DIY" blend home with you. Sounds like a blast, and such a great team building adventure! I love the ambiance of this charming tasting room with ample patio seating and colorful furniture. The last time I stumbled upon this hidden gem of an area was with gal pals, and we had a nice brunch at Park 121. The wines are amazingly bold, aromatic with citrus fruits, and made with love. Highly recommend tasting all the wines, my favorite is the 2017 French Colombard ~ pairs nicely with Thai food. The 2016 Cru De La Ruche Malbec will pair deliciously well with a thick juicy steak, and so will the Anniversary Cuvée (celebrating Tom's 20 years of winemaking)! Let's not forget the 2017 Rosé of Malbec ~ a glass of rosé keeps the doctor away. The entire Meadowcroft team is like family; they know their stuff...extremely hospitable. This is truly a wine experience. If you have ever wanted to taste wine and then take your own wine home....strap in and enjoy. Start the day with a little glass of sparkling wine, get a tour of the winery, and then you get your senses sprung as you tour through the vegetable, and spicy garden the restaurant next door uses. Meadowcroft Wines is nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Cornerstone Sonoma. Their wines have the distinct qualities of European varietals, and still the adventuresome character of new world California vintages. The surroundings are casual and bucolic. We enjoyed the cozy tasting room and the mingling with other visitors that the quarters and staff encouraged. Very collegial. We particularly enjoyed some of their higher end wines; the reds were rich and deep, and showed great promise for the future of my collection. Of course, we could not resist their late harvest wines, and especially their Sonoma Port. Chocolate never had such a wonderful friend. Next, we took a stroll through the gardens, sipped some indescribably delicious Meadowcroft Cabernet Franc, and stopped to smell the roses. Most certainly one of the most beautiful wineries I've ever visited and right off of Highway 121 you would not expect to find such a pleasant little oasis. My girlfriend and I visited here over the weekend and were served delicious wines and greeted by polite and equally knowledgable staff. All the wines we tasted were exquisite and from the exceptional staff we learned a little about the geography of the area, what it takes to make good wine, and the importance of the symbiotic relationship between nature and grape growing. The gardens and landscaping here are just awe-inspiring. It was truly breathtaking to see first hand the vision and the effort that had gone into making this place one of the most beautiful places I've ever ventured into. I wasn't sure what to expect from a wine tasting, but I am so happy that this was my first introduction into the winery world! Our host, Michael, was so personable and made the whole tour very relaxed and enjoyable. We were taken to different parts of the property and it was interesting learning not only about wine, but other components that make up the wine process. The second half of the tour, you're able to make your own personal wine concoction! We were able to bottle our personal wines plus mini bottles that were left over. Sure, I've stopped off on the side of the road when there were those huge chairs and took a picture with them like a silly tourist... but never ventured inside. Meadowcroft has a small tasting room in Cornerstone, and is the first one on your right upon pulling into the parking lot. They have a small outdoor patio where you can enjoy your wine in the sun, and their inside tasting room is spacious and well decorated. Not a huge "WOW" factor that some of the other wineries have (think tasting room, NOT winery estate), but if you are looking for somewhere to comfortably enjoy your wine without being trampled by tourists, this is it! SERVICE (5/5): Our server was awesome! She was really knowledgeable and just seemed like a genuinely nice person. She educated us on the wine club, but did so in a non-pushy non-salesy way. She also listened to what kind of wines we liked, and gave us suggestions based on our palette. I can't remember her name but she was a newer employee and from WA (you rock!) WINE (3.5/5) Tasting was on the pricey end (I believe $15 for the normal and $20 for the reserve, which we did one of each). The wine was good, but not my favorite (a little too many sweet wines on the standard tasting, reserve wine was better!) We did buy a couple bottles of the wine we did like! The wine label is really cool (a golden bee)!! They recently came out with a sparkling wine (which was very good), but the bottle was gorgeous... I'm tempted to go back and buy in bulk for gifts!! We LOVED our recent wine tasting experience here! This is a very intimate setting, much better than other big wineries in the area. It was a super hot day, and we got seated in their covered patio area in a corner, perfect for a small group and our dog. Ari was the sweetest, most patient person ever! The owner also came by to say hi and told us more about the wine. One of us became a wine club member on the spot, coz we just loved the wines and the experience. Some of our favorites: 2017 Riesling (quite possibly the best riesling I have ever had), 2019 pinot noir rose, and the 2016 Mt Veeder cab. The cab was absolutely phenomenal. I don't usually spend more than $30 on a bottle of wine, but am totally willing to shell out $90 for this, well $70 ish if I buy it from my wine club friend. :p They are just such nice and warm people. In COVID times, they are also considerate and flexible on wine club commitments depending on members' situation. I am already looking forward to coming back!
