Stopped in here while driving from Sydney to Halifax on a sunny Thanksgiving Monday morning because a friend recommended it for an easy breakfast. When I walked in the door, a regular customer was standing there and immediately chatted, to the point that I thought he was the owner. LOL Once I realized he wasn't, I took a two-seater booth at the rear. There are are handful of basic wooden booths, convenience store items on the left, kitchen in the back. A small house converted into a very simple business. Lots of free parking. I ordered the all day breakfast of two bacon, two eggs, toast & hashbrowns for $8.5, which includes coffee. Very simple but satisfying. The younger male who served me got chatting and then explained that he bought the place and now runs it, so there is no Mr and Mrs, but he kept the name and everything else the same. Busy in the summer with the campground across the street, quieter in the off season, but apparently still does well enough to keep it open. I'd definitely pop in again another time again and maybe try a club, burger or fish & chips. read more
