Chai latte with oat milk
Maryann K.

Wonderful little coffee shop! Stopped by on a rainy day for coffee while in port on a cruise. This location shares space with a creperie/bakery. It was really busy with there being two cruise ships in town. The two staff working did a great job keeping up. My chai latte was fantastic and I enjoyed every sip. If you need a break from Tim Horton's, this is a great option

Americano

Hubby and I stopped in this morning after being docked nearby from our cruise ship. Doktor Luke's offered a cozy atmosphere and strong coffee. I ordered the americano and a slice of their chocolate chip pumpkin bread. Both were delicious and exactly what I needed them to be!

Our cruise ship docked at Sydney and we went in for a coffee drink. It was the best cappuccino I've ever had.

Dokrot Luke's is the best coffee shop around. Great atmosphere with awesome staff! Love that they have soy-milk available!

Super friendly staff and one helluva good Americano means I'll be back. It's just too bad they don't have any breakfast options

Great coffee and friendly service! It would be lovely if they had more snack or food options.

Over rated. Cappuccino so, so. Prep area looks unprofessional for lack of a more accurate description. Room shared by food provider.

Delicious coffee, lovely atmosphere, kind staff, and at a great location for a sit-in, or grabbing a cup while running errands.

Actually got a peanut butter cookie at MacNeil's next to the coffee house. It was delicious. Friends got really good iced coffee.

The chocolate chip pumpkin bread (baked by Missy, I believe?) is heavenly.

Luckily, the café has overflow tables outside their side door in a common lobby area of the strip mall. I found the chairs a bit wobbly though (the style), so ended up standing up to eat, since the wobbliness was too distracting for me to enjoy my food. Anyway, the inside of the café is very nice with warm colors, lots of wall décor items and various local small business items for sale, such as jewelry, scarves, artwork, etc. Staff are quite friendly. I tried the ginger carrot soup, a daily special, and it wasn't bad. Had a strong oregano taste I found, was thick and very filling. My side of cranberry almond pasta salad also wasn't bad, good flavor, but nothing overly memorable. My 'skinny squirrel' latte (hazelnut flavor and something else?) was good but I could barely finish it after the two food items. I'd go back here another time for just a drink and baked item maybe, since they don't have a regular permanent meal menu. The sandwich/wrap item of the day was ham and cheese and I'm vegetarian, so I couldn't get that. If I wanted a sandwich though, I'm sure they could make something...I just didn't ask to see. Prices are pretty standard for an independent place. It came to $35 for myself and my mother to both have combos with lattes, which sounded like a lot at first, but would cost that much at Starbucks for similar items. I just would recommend going here when it's not lunch time, to have a better chance at getting a regular table and non-wobbly chairs. Lol

Fantastic Place!! Think: Hot, steamy, crusty giant pancake!…read more 1. Don't let the word "pannekoek" distract you - when I ordered I asked for gluten free and the cook (CHEF) said he made gluten free pancakes (Pannekoek is a fancy word for more pancake than crepe) that were really good - and he was RIGHT! I had already had breakfast and I saw one of these - ordered it and took it with me. It was MAGNIFICIENT. I had it plain with powdered sugar and it was one of the best things I have ever eaten. I tore chunks of the steaming sweet dough and ate it in bite-size chunks as we drove with windows down with chilly wind wafting through. Oh, my friends got regular (not gluten free) waffles that they said were terrrific! 2. Don't let their web site photos influence you - the food is a thousand times better than the photos look! 3. Here is the reason we stopped. Our B&B gave us coupons for breakfast and we could use the coupon here or at The Clucking Hen. We wanted to check the places out so we stopped at the Dancing Moose and it was closed at the time. We peeked through the window and the cook (CHEF) saw us, unlocked the door, came out and said they were not open yet but "Do you need the ladies room? You are welcome to use it." Now, WHO is that nice these days? We didn't but we promised to come back so we did. We were the winners in that decision! 4. If you like, try this place. We had a great time and the food was wonderful! We went back and we will go back every time we go to Cabot Trail which will be frequent as we have visitors who come and want to see the Cabot Trail!
