I purchased a Groupon for a deep tissue massage with hot stones and that's exactly what I got. MDY Spa is a no-frills, inexpensive spa managed by honest, hardworking people. I would NOT suggest it as the spot for people looking for relaxation or a typical Swedish massage. This place is more geared towards reflexology and deep tissue. The kind of deep tissue that hurts as you get it as you feel your muscles being moved in strange pulls but you leave feeling like you just had the ultimate stretch. The kind of massage that you feel the next day because all the lactic acid build up is gone. The masseuse worked on my back, arms, legs, and face. It was painful but the good kind of painful where you don't want to quite stop. It almost felt similar to a lymphatic massage when the masseuse worked on my arms and legs and face. Overall, I was not too happy that my masseuse left the room three times (although one time was to bring the hot stones) to attend to walk-ins or take care of some logistics in the front. But she made up for it by working a few minutes after the timer. I would say if you want a good deep tissue where they grind your bones a bit, this is for you. If you're looking to have the type of massage where you want to be so relaxed that you can almost fall asleep, you should pass. read more

I purchased a Groupon based off the reviews but this was not what was expected at all. I should of went with my instincts when I spoke to the store before purchasing and the person on the phone barely spoke English. But they confirmed a couples massage my second clue was they didn't even take my name. A couple days later I get a random text confirming my appointment with no information just "you have appointment 10am". WHAT?!?! Ok well I guess I was optimistic and thought well the reviews are great so it must be ok. RIGHT?!?! Well the day of our massage is here and the outside of the store front is very shady looking. When we walk in all the lights are off not dim for a spa sett no but OFF. The woman was eating and brought us to separate rooms. Wait what no we have a couples massage booked together. "No, sorry". Found on Groupon and since it's new and close by, I thought I'd test it out. I go to get a massage at least twice a month and there are places I return too but i always like trying new places! It also depends on where I am or where i feel like driving to. For all of them, I'll use the same criteria (and considering they're all no frills already, so that's not a part of my analysis) -- 1 to 10: Cleanliness: 9 -- towels and beds felt clean and rooms were neat Massage: 10 -- I was so relaxed and it felt so good every second of the massage. Cherry did a great job. Price/Value: N/a -- since i first tried on Groupon, I won't note on this but i believe it's $40 and if so, definitely one of the top prices in the PW area. Relaxation based on environment: 8.5 -- music is loud enough so you don't hear other noise but not too loud to bother you. There's a few dings at the door and greetings but other than that, it's nice and relaxing and respective. My son purchased 2 Groupons for me as a Christmas gift. I tried to book a massage back in February and the woman told me the Groupon is only good for 10:30 or 11:30AM massages. I read the fine print and no where does it state that. I told her that and she told me her English was not good. I thought I would try another time and reach a differnt person who might actually know the rules. I tried again today to make an appointment and the woman told me again that with Groupon the only time I can make an appointment is 10:30 or 11:30 AM. I again reminded her that that this is not in the fine print but she simply replied ONLY 10:30 or 11:30 and hung up. DO NOT use this SPA as they clearly do not honor their advertisements read more

I found them on We Chat. The facility is immaculate! I went there 2 times and both times I asked for a strong massage and it was what the doctor ordered. Also, before the masseuse started on the legs, she put hot stones on the back and left them there which felt great. The masseuse name is Cherry. She knows what she is doing and very pleasant. Not even worthy of One star! Wish I had read Carols B & Kimberly G reviews because I received the same warm words... Groupons are only accept between 9 & 11 am. I'm very frustrated by this because none of this information is specified on the Groupon itself. It was given to me as a gift as well. I wouldn't recommend using this place to anyone. read more

This place needs to close. I called to make an appointment over 2 days and no one picked up. I then went on their website, and booked my appointment online. I show up for my appointment, and get told they don't use their website. Huh? Its YOUR website. You can even select which masseuse you want. She tells me they don't take walk ins. Ok... "walk-ins accepted" is the FIRST line on your groupon, and I HAVE an appointment. She tells, in very broken english, to call again and walks into the back. HOW can I call if you never pick up? I tried calling throughout the next week and she finally picked up, but told me that if I was using a Groupon I could only come in at 10:30 or 11:30 a.m. That's bull. The groupon was good for any time. So I ask her what days she has available, and she repeats 10:30 11:30. I said again, what DAYS, like monday, tuesday? She says "oh... yes". Yes for what day? She just says "okay come early". I gave up and got a refund. Side note, some of the Groupon reviews now say she demands a 25% cash tip before even giving a massage. This was a lovely placed. I purchased a hot stone message from livingsocial. It was my first time doing hot stone. I was able to get an appointment the next day. The staff were very pleasant. I enjoyed my message. It felt so good and i wanted to stay longer then my 60 minutes. I wish it was a full spa. I wanted to do my nails as well. I can say that I will go back. read more

Be wary - they are not conducting legitimate business. You call to schedule a groupon they tell you only 1030am but they dont ask your name they say they have your number. But then you show up and they say no it was 10am and someone is already on the table. Which means they sell lots of groupons but its first come first serve and they dont have a website read more
