Some I abandoned because the prices were about three times higher than what the other stores charged. Others I gave upon because they never had contact lenses in stock, and when they ordered the lenses, it took almost a month for the lenses to show up. Still other optical stores were just too much of a pain - we had to spend hours waiting for someone to help us. The worst case happened just today - the people who worked there were just plain incompetent. I don't want to trust my daughter's eyes to someone that can barely read the prescription I presented. Good thing I made that decision. Super Optical corrected a bad prescription that the first expensive and incompetent optical store had provided. Super Optical staff greeted us in a friendly way, the doctor came out right away and provided my daughter with a very thorough contact lens fitting (only $15). He answered my questions about an astigmatism that the other store had identified, and responded in a way that I found to be intelligent and knowledgeable. He adjusted the error that another optical store had made in the prescription, then sent us home with a trial pair of lenses so that my daughter could see until her lenses came in. He also gave us a complimentary starter kit with solution and a lens case. We got a year's worth of bi-monthly lenses for $195, and my daughter was thrilled with how comfortable the lenses feel. Super Optical is conveniently located and has plenty of parking. I hope this review helps others avoid wasting their time and money on glasses or contacts at other vision care stores. I wish I had started with Super Optical. UPDATE: The contacts we ordered arrived within a week. Still loving this place.

I went to so many opticians and finally landed at Super Optical. Both of the staff were super friendly and helped me try on about 40 different pairs (no exaggeration there!). They were fantastic and affordable. With my prescription and designer frames, my glasses run around $800.00. How excited was I to find the whole package was $400 and they direct billed my insurance. I love my new glasses and will go back there for future eye wear!

I rather like the selection of frames that this location offers. I find that I usually am able to find something I want and am not overwhelmed by too much choice at the same time -- in fact I've gotten compliments on the frames I've purchased here before.

I read one review about a person that had a bad visit and waited a long time and didn't see their doctor. I'm not sure what happened for them but in all of the years coming here I haven't had any experiences like that at all. Most times my appointments are on schedule and very efficient and quick. I am very satisfied with the Doctors and have no complaints at all with them. The place is bright and clean and they keep it that way and update the decor with the times. The desk staff have been here for many years as well so I think that is a good sign that this is a good business to work for. They also have a nice eye glass centre attached to their office. There is a parking lot out front and street parking around the corner if it fills up (which I have never experienced). I also suspect getting here by transit is easy as they are close to bus stops right in front on 82 Ave. I would recommend this place to anyone that asks me!

First of all, Bailey, who helped us find our frames and adjusted glasses (and basically did everything but the eye exam) was a fantastic, amazing salesperson and I wish she was my friend she's so fun. She was so helpful in finding proper frames for my face and was honest without looking to upsell me on more expensive frames. The eye exam was super thorough, which I appreciate (even though my eyes were tired by the end!) and I feel good about my eye health going forward. My prescription had changed quite drastically so I wanted to get my new glasses ASAP. I had looked on their website ahead of time and saw that they offer 24hr service on many prescriptions. I walked in and was greeted by a young girl right away. The first thing I did was show her my prescription and ask if they would be qualified for the 24hr service. She said "Oh ya for sure, this is a pretty standard prescription." Great! I then proceeded to spend probably half an hour picking out glasses and trying them on. When I finally narrowed it down to two styles, I was directed to someone else more senior who would be able to measure my head and all of that good stuff. During that process, I again asked when they might be ready. Not until then, 40 minutes later, was I told that they were an odd prescription, would have to be special order and would take at least seven business days. Great, thanks. I'm not disagreeing with this policy or my wacky prescription at all. But I was supremely disappointed that I had spent all of that time there on the premise that I could get my glasses right away. If I would have known that they would take that long anyways, I would have shopped around at a few different stores to look at even more styles. Both of the staff members were friendly, but I would certainly hope and expect that any and all staff working at a store related to something medical would be knowledgeable about what they are selling.
