MDM Physical Therapy was a great place at first... Had no issue with the physical therapy part of the business, M and A are AWESOME!!! I would give M and A 5 stars alone.
My issue was the front desk and with M's wife S, who runs the metabolic treatment program. They have no communication up there.... I called in one early afternoon to cancel the next mornings appt because I was sick and spoke to one of the girls at the front desk. The next morning as I was sleeping at 8am, I get a call from S telling me I was on the schedule. Ok, fine...I was woken up unnecessarily. Skip to the next week....I got an infection and wanted to move an appt from Thursday to Friday. I called in and this time requested to speak with S. I spoke with her and she moved me to Friday. So Thursday morning at 9am, I get a call from one of the girls at the front desk saying I'm on the schedule. Yeah, this time it bothered me, I raised my voice a little as I said in words to the effect of, "are you kidding me? I rescheduled the appt, I'm keeping my end up, I'm doing what I'm supposed to do. I'm calling and rescheduling/canceling, it's not my fault that someone else isn't doing their job". She apologized, and we hung up. Apparently the girl at the front desk told S, because not more than 2 minutes later my phone is ringing with their number in the caller ID, I let it go to voicemail. S tells me on the voicemail in words to the effect of, "I know you called me and sometimes I may forget to take your name off the schedule because I may be in the back room, but next time you call in, talk to the girls at the front desk so they can take you off the schedule. Have a good rest of the day".... Are you kidding me S???? The only reason I requested to talk to you was because the first time I called and talked to the girls at the front desk, I was NOT taken off the schedule. NO communication!!! As I thought more about this unorganized, unprofessional front desk area, I remembered another instance while waiting for an appt of talk behind the desk of another patient not being taken off the schedule, so I'm not the only one. If someone doesn't show up for an appt, they shouldn't jump the gun and call them. Check to see if they rescheduled/cancelled, ask the other employees if they heard from the patient.
So to end this, I didn't appreciate how S tried to deflect the issue back towards me, and I didn't appreciate the "have a good rest of the day", as though I was all in a bad mood or whatever. Even though S's voice sounded nice and sweet on the voicemail, she was very condescending. If S would have just let it be and not called me back to flex her assertive might, things would be ok, MDM physical therapy would still have a fully paid patient. read more
