Had what I considered to be a fairly good urgent care experience here this week when I had to take…read moremy daughter in for care. I felt like she received pretty good care from the nurse and nurse practitioner that we saw. We didn't have to wait too long, and they were quickly able to rule out a couple of things. They ended up calling in a prescription for an antibiotic for us, which is really what I believed was all we needed before we went in there. One thing did seem a little odd to me, however. Even though a nurse had told us "a doctor will be in to see you shortly," a doctor never did see my daughter - only a nurse practitioner came by. Based on a web search after the fact, I discovered that in Ohio, a doctor is apparently not required to actually work on site at a medical facility, just be in some kind of contract with and do annual reviews of a nurse practitioner. Or something like that. The nurse practitioner can write some prescriptions. So I'm left suspecting that there was not even a doctor on the premises that evening, which makes me wonder why the nurse said that one would come see my daughter. At any rate, I'll be interested to see our part of the bill when it comes, to see how their services are listed out. It crossed my mind that maybe this is the new way of trying to cut medical costs, but I have my suspicions that this was still a very pricey visit.

She manages my healthcare needs related to several chronic illnesses. She is realistic when prescribing orders & always diligent about utilizing the most cost effective options for her patients. She is always on right on time for my appointments, I NEVER have to wait for her to come into the room! She is well-organized and efficient during your visit. Her attitude is always upbeat & positive. She has a fantastic personality and is so compassionate and patient in her patient interactions. She is meticulous in her assessments & confident in her bedside practice. Once at the urgent care all my muscels loosened up. I can see how they may not have understood my pain was past a ten five minutes before I checked in. Parking was easy. Big lot. Not a lot of people here Saturday evening. I got checked in. Waited maybe three minutes. Was taken to an exam room. Jerico took my vitals. Was pleasant but could noticeably tell he hated chit chat. Lol He excused himself and the wait for a provider began. While waiting I noticed this room smells weird. Gross weird. I dont even want to think about what it is but it smells like the trash needs emptied and the trash smells for lack of a more descriptive word. yucky. I think that conveys it. Kind of smells like a mixture of puke and disinfectant. Ew. See. Yuck. Doctor Haynes come is. Was relieved it wasn't another NP. Especially due to it being an upper back/neck injury. Thats mg big beef with this place the NPs. I explain some of my medical history. Explain the injury. She does an exam concluding its soft tissue causing the pain. And doesn't need an x-ray. I agree it doesn't need xrayed, but was wondering why she didnt lean to mri. Never did she mention it. Still holding fast to its an pulled muscle. I am 100000000000% sure it is more than that. So I ask for a referral to the spine clinic. She gives it to me I was sent home with lidocaine and muscle relaxer. I agree, those I needed. The entire visit took less than 30 from the time I sat down in the waiting room. The only thing I was surprised by there was no follow up call. Usually when you go to an ER in urgent care, especially with a neck injury staff follows up the next day That was not the case here no follow up was received.

My son (is 24 and has insurance…read more- just not a doctor) has gone to them for everything for the last 4 years, he says that they ARE his doctor. He has been diagnosed and treated for everything from sinusitis, flue, sinus infection, Covid, fatty liver disease and a severe meniscus tear (which required surgery). Last week I took my husband there for severe lower abdomen pain and they immediately said he needed to go to a hospital and called an ambulance for him. They were taking him to Riverside, but Riverside had no availability, so he was being transported to Dublin Methodist. The front desk gal was so nice to call me and inform me of the location change. My husband ends up needing Emergency surgery! While he was still in recovery the doctor from Scioto Urgent Care called to see how he was doing and what the diagnosis was! You CAN"T get customer service like that from a large hospital and I highly recommend this location for any ailment you have -- They truly care and are excellent health care professionals who are exceptional in the field!!

A very, very bad experience…read more It honestly felt like all they cared about was taking my money. I went there because I was having kidney pain. At the front desk, I told them I thought I might have a kidney stone and explained my symptoms in detail. When I saw the doctor, she basically told me the exact same thing: "I think you have a kidney stone." X-ray? Not available. Ultrasound? Not available. I asked her, "Then what exactly did I pay for?" She told me, "For me to see you." I asked for a urine test, and they wanted another $40. I said fine, no problem, and paid for it. After the urine test was done, I asked for my results. They told me they could only give me the report because their system wouldn't allow them to give me the actual test results. It really feels like this place is only interested in taking people's money. They don't want to do the work, make an effort, or actually help the patient. My rating: ZERO

Parking was a challenge but was happy to find a space open up a little closer, it's hit or miss, and sometimes you have to walk up from the end of the lot. This visit was good aside from the wait time. Check-in and registration were some but had an existing order which sped things up. Wait time was about 43 mins but service was friendly and once I was back there it took no time. Quality if care was good. I like the convenience of this location but this location can be busy at times.

Dr. Isfort even called to see how I was doing after I returned home. I highly recommend Dr. Isfort and his staff to patients who need this testing. The facility is busy, and the parking lot is under construction, but the registration staff and medical staff with whom I had contact were very friendly and supportive to patients. Although this facility is on the other side of town, and somewhat inconvenient for me to get to, my experience with the medical staff and others at this facility makes it worth while to go out of my way to be treated at OSU Outpatient Care East.
