As a patient I'm already stressed and I have several health issues and to be inconvenienced does not allow for me to be a "happy" patient. If I do everything in my power to be responsible and show up on time. I do have the right to expect quality service. To boot when I brought my husband for an ER visit and they kicked me out of the room when I'm his wife. They did not ask nicely! I'm stressed because I had to bring my husband in for heart issues it only takes a moment to be kind. So I scheduled my yearly mammo. I get a lovely text telling me the where and when etc. I arrive 15 minutes as requested. The text I received said to go to suite 230! So I go up there the offices are closed and there isn't anyone at a desk or anything. So I have to come back downstairs and ask where to go. I asked nicely but got some pushback.

He had been having pain for a week on and off and then it took a turn for the worse. He started vomiting. He felt slightly better so we went to the family doctor instead of straight to an ER. We got right in and everything seemed to be going well. They came and did an ultrasound. Then he was admitted. (Yes AFTER THEY DID THE ULTRASOUND) We waited for over 2hours for the results of the ultrasound even though we were told it wouldn't be more than an hour. With testicular torsion, every minute counts. We were told results from the ultrasound sound were negative. (Thankfully) They were going to send us home with a pain medication rx and a referral to a urologist if things don't clear up. I had to tell the dr that things aren't going to get better for him. They've only been getting worse this whole week. What else can we do? The Dr was a little frustrated with me and said well we can run some blood work and do a CT SCAN. If that doesn't work we can send him to the ER. We decided to go with that option. The tech was new and came to draw blood. Blood started squirting everywhere. They got it under control but I never want to see the inside of these walls again. It's nice and new, but that's where it's good side ends. We waited for well over two more hours for those results. Dr came in and said tests were inconclusive. No elevated white blood cells, no kidney stones, nothing. They could send us to the hospital ER, but no one would probably see us there tonight. So we took our referral and went home. This was late on a Friday. Monday morning rolls around. Call into urology and get in to see a nurse practitioner. She lets us know that there are cysts and his white blood cell count was elevated. She believes that the cysts are infected. The Dr at the ER had told us that they were not elevated. The NP showed us on his chart that not only were they elevated, but that they were highlighted yellow on the chart while we were at the ER! If I would've known what we know now, I would've skipped this place altogether. This is NOT an EMERGENCY ROOM. There's nothing urgent about this place, except that it should be shut down. This is a disgrace of a "medical facility". How Ohio Health lets it have their name attached is beyond me. They should be ashamed. This is a cash cow for them and you will be treated as such. We will avoid this place and every other free standing EMERGENCY room from now on. This place is a joke and unfortunately the joke was on us at the price of my son's health and our wallet.

I like that this was focused on children and was surprised at how easy everything was. We got checked in right away, just had to show Id and insurance and then we only had to wait a few minutes before being seen. They gave her ibuprofen and an ice pack right away and were super awesome with her. I'm glad we have this option so close!

I was informed they needed to do their own X-Ray, we're rude about it, insisted she only had a, "mild sprain," gave her a useless brace for a sprain. Treated her rudely, asking her why she was crying (not sobbing, just in pain). Telling her to, "quit limping," and she was fine, no restrictions, could participate in gym class & double header soccer tournament next day. Morons. I called pediatrician's office next morning, was told UC can see their X-Ray, did not need to do their own, only wanted more money, & I was to call COPC Sports Medicine right away. Doctor said she needed to be seen same day, fitted in walking boot for 6 weeks, due to a "grade 3 lateral ligament tear." Great job, Children's UC on not only being rude, but also not knowing what you're talking about. If it's not you're specialty, which it wasn't, it's okay to say, "I don't know, let me refer you to someone who does, an actual specialist." I will never go there again!
