The owner assigned us another guy and he started to do the nails ..... he started to cut the cuticle and I told him we don't want that , he got upset and told the boss ( in a foreign language ) that he doesn't feel comfortable with me being there!!! ... they are not professional , .... After searching on yelp for a new nail shop, this place popped up so I thought I'd try it! I called first and a gentlemen told me to come in 10 minutes. The odd thing about this place is when they sat me for a pedicure, I was sitting there for about 7 minutes and they didn't soak my feet, she started my pedicure on dry feet, this has never happened to me before, anyway the pedicure was bomb! I got my full set from puna and from this point on I am only going to her! She took a while but it's because she does nails flawlessly! ONLY BOOK WITH MINA!!!! I went in for a fill and I left the salon with black lines across my nails because they didn't file down enough. You can see where the fills starts and ends. I noticed this immediately and spoke to my nail tech. They said it is showing because I picked a light color. I get this French ombré all the time and I have never had this issue. There was no effort to fix the set or to offer a discount for future services. It's embarassing to walk around with nails like this! Whatever you do, only book with Mina! You can tell they put so much time and dedication into their work and their space. I have been going to MD Beyond Polish for over a year now since moving into the area. I get the gel builder for my short nails and either Danny or Mina have done my nails and they both do a great job. I appreciate that I can text to make an appointment for convenience. They also have a stamp rewards card which is nice. There's a nice ambience on the shop and usually some music or a show playing on TV to listen to. read more

My Go-To Nail Salon I've resided in the Valley for nearly a year (from the Bay) and have trust issues when it comes to "Beauty Experts". I used a lot of gas in search of a nail salon that knows what they're doing and really cares about my nails. I tried a few shops in Stockton... and just about gave up. But I needed my nails done badly so I Yelped again and again. And POW ! MD Beyond Polish (in LODI, MY PEOPLE!!!) saved me from just letting it all go. Mina and Danny (owners) run a quite pleasant operation. They open at 9am, offer water and tend to you immediately. The staff is really nice and the salon is clean. I started with Mina with GelX. This fairly new nail application that can be quite costly. I've seen LA salons starting price at $150!!! But not MD Beyond Polish. We're talking $60ish! And they are beautiful!!! I had them twice until my natural nails grew to a length that I needed. Then I changed to Gel Builder with Danny. And everyone loves them. Now you know we get particular about who does our nails. If they do a great job we stick to them. We don't switch up nail artists. But this time I did and am super happy I gave Danny an opportunity to show off his skill. He's very well versed in nail care. Even though GelX costs more than Gel Builder, Danny didn't try to upsell me on a product I didn't need or want. He promoted what was in my best interest. That is really important to me. I feel bad having to leave this review because I really like the people here but I've had a nail break 3x after a new set only a few days later. I called to try and get it fixed with no call back and I've been getting my nails done for 17 years. I'm not hard on my nails and have never had so many break off so easily. I've had to replace 2 just recently on anew set so unfortunately I have to say I don't recommend as the quality of work is not consistent. I've given them a few months with the benefit of doubt but no improvement with breakage. read more

I finally got the courage to get a gel manicure from a salon in the Bay Area and explained how I was not sure I wanted to do it. Loved the way they did it. But knew I had to find a place local that had the same cleanly sterile standards as the place in the bay.
