All of the staff encountered have been extremely polite, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. The people at North Brady Imports Plus have always been able to solve our automotive mysteries and repair minor and major issues with a higher degree of expertise and at a significantly lower cost than most dealerships' service departments! The staff at their new sister location in Moline, Illinois are just as capable, well-trained, and efficient in diagnosing automobile issues as their counterparts in their other location in Davenport! I had unknown issues with my Lexus' air-conditioning system and wisely brought my vehicle to the Moline location. In a matter of a few hours, they were able to trace the problem to a faulty switch, probably saving me 100s if not 1000s of dollars in unnecessary charges! Recently had my vehicle serviced by moline transmission. This all started when I had called them…read moreand wanted to get information on replacing a slave cylinder on my vehicle. I would provide the parts and everything needed to install on the vehicle. I was quoted 7hours since the transmission needed to be removed to install a new slave cylinder. I called on October 27th and they stated they had about a week worth of work to complete before they would be able to pick up additional jobs. I had no problem with this as I decided to make the appointment for November 13th (17days from appointment call). Time comes to have my vehicle towed and it's dropped off early morning Monday November 13th. I figured I'd give them time and let them work to complete the job. Friday November 17th comes and I hadn't heard anything from them so I call and receive an update. Moline transmission stated they had a couple call ins during the week and they hadn't touched my car. Not a horrible issue but I figured they had plenty of time to finish. I understand things happen. Following week of November 20th, they begin the work. Once again I figure 7hrs at a leisure pace the job should be done right in time for me to have the car before Thursday thanksgiving. I decide to call on Wednesday afternoon and ask for an update. Moline transmission stated they're tidying everything up and they're doing their best to have it done by close of business day 5pm as they are closed for thanksgiving. 5pm comes around and I never hear anything. At this point I figure I'll go to the shop on Friday to see what the delay is. I go to shop Friday morning and they have a sign saying they are closed both Thursday and Friday as well as the weekend as they only work Monday-Friday. At this point I'm disappointed, I believed I could have a reputable shop complete the work in a timely manner as I would have believed they had sufficient time. (Let it be noted there was a hiccup in parts provided yet that was quickly resolved in less than 1hr) I was told because of this they needed to move on to another vehicle and put my car on hold. Monday November 27th I call again for an update and they once again state they're still working on the car and should have it done today. More time passes on and no call. Finally, Wednesday November 29th I am frustrated because I haven't received my car , I was told 2 times on separate days they should have the car done by end of business but yet they continued to work on it. The update for today was they are letting it sit as it has been bled and will be test driven later in the day to ensure the work was done properly. The car had been sitting at the shop since November 13th and the job was finally completed November 29th. I had my car in storage and placed the vehicle back on full coverage insurance because it was going to be driven publicly again. Due to the excessive length of time it was being worked on I felt as if I needed to place the vehicle back on storage insurance as it seemed that's what I was paying for. I gave moline transmission a 17day notice of my car being dropped off. They had the car for 16/17 days from drop off. The job was quoted 7hrs, moline transmission stated they worked on the car much longer than 7hrs and the job wasn't going the way they would have liked but only were going to charge me the 7hrs. I believe they understood this isn't the service they want to provide. In the end the job itself was completed well as my car returned to proper function. The timeliness to complete my car was very poor. If you are able to be without your car for over half a month then they'll work with you. If you have a timeline seek other options. This was my experience and I understand others have better/worse experiences.

I spent thousands of dollars with Ace trying to make my MINI safe and reliable for myself and my…read morechild. I specifically expressed concerns about its safety and relied on their inspections, repairs, and reassurances that the vehicle was safe to drive. Ace performed a multipoint inspection on July 24 and did not document a coolant leak. My car was subsequently back at Ace for additional repairs and diagnostics, and I returned it again on August 20 because I was concerned about noises and a brake warning. It was returned to me around August 28. No coolant leak was documented to me during these visits. Only a few weeks later, on September 27, my MINI suddenly overheated and began stalling. I got safely off the road and had it towed to Ace. Their own diagnostic report states the vehicle arrived "BONE DRY ON COOLANT" and that their pressure test found the oil filter housing/oil cooler leaking coolant. They then told me the head gasket had failed and the vehicle needed an engine. When I asked the owner what Ace could do to help, I was told they were not responsible, accused of continuing to drive the vehicle while it was overheating, and told to remove it from their property. I dispute that account and have timestamped documentation from the incident. After posting my one-star review, Niki texted me personally. She again blamed me for the engine damage, stated that I "had no coolant leaks before this," told me my review affected her monthly bonus, and told me I was "fired as a customer." I understand that cars can develop new problems. What I cannot get past is that my vehicle spent a significant amount of time at this shop, I spent thousands trying to make it dependable, and within weeks of getting it back I was left with a vehicle that Ace itself documented as bone dry on coolant with an identified coolant leak and catastrophic engine damage. I have preserved the vehicle, repair records, diagnostic reports, photos, videos, and timestamped communications, and the matter is being reviewed through my insurance claim. I genuinely wanted Ace to help me make my car safe and reliable. Instead, I am left without a functioning vehicle and deeply disappointed by how I was treated when I asked for help. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Ace Auto Doctor.

We had to replace the flat tire with the 'donut'. We continued to the Quad Cities and stopped at Hughes Tire to attempt to have the tire repaired . We talked to Chuck and he was most helpful and friendly. He suggested we leave the tire and come back after the appointment. We did. He called us later to let us know that the tire was not repairable as the sidewall had been seriously damaged. Unfortunately they did not have the tire we needed in stock and could not get it until the next day. We decided to drive home on the back roads, as suggested by Chuck, on the 'donut'. When we arrived to pick up our damaged tire we were met by another employee who loaded the tire for us and volunteered to have the pressure checked and adjusted in all the tires for us. A third employee offered to check the torque on the lug nuts of the 'donut' which was good as a couple needed tightening. All three employees went out of their way to help us and make sure we felt we were safe on our trip home. They were all friendly and very accommodating. And for their service there was no charge. Their kindness and attention to us was refreshing and very appreciated. To those who live in the Quad Cities area I very highly recommend Hughes Tire for your tire needs. Thank you Chuck and all.
