I had to give a star. Otherwise I would have given them nothing. I had a 11 am appointment. Hardly any cars or trucks in the bay...at 12:10 I returned. My vehicle hadn't even been serviced yet. We have done business for years with this group. Recently we looked the other way when they performed an oil change on one of our trucks to only drive it 30 miles and the oil light when on. They failed to place the required amount of oil into the engine. They have performed many farm calls for us. But I think it's time to find someone else. read more

Extremely dishonest. We went there to have our brake caliper look at our real wheel because we believe it had seized. We only went there cause we were from out of town and we're in a bind and didn't want to wreck the van worse. they told us our calipers were bad sway bars were bad and several other things and it would cost $1500. Our van was in with our mechanic three days ago, same mechanic we've had for many years and saw no issues. Our mechanic assured us it would be fine for us to drive home so he could look at it today. The more person moore tires told us we would have a 50-50 chance of making it home. our mechanic looked at it today and fixed it all for 130 bucks. Granted anything to do with the brakes were still under warranty but obviously Moore Tires just went through our van. Try to find anything that could be replaced or what was starting to wear out. According to the paperwork moore tires wanted 600 to replace the brakes and calipers, my mechanic was under 400. $500 to replace the sway bars at moore tires. my mechanic was under three. And as it turns out, the calipers were not bad and this way bars were not bad. replaced the caliber anyway, since they were under warranty through my mechanic. I recently, yesterday had my tires replaced and a new battery installed here and I must say the entire team here was fantastic. I negotiated pricing and product over the phone the day prior with Greg and brought my car in at 7am the following day. They replaced my tires and battery in just over an hour and did an excellent job. Pricing, service, and the overall experience was fantastic. These people are great. MOORE TIRES INC. IS THEIR NAME, CREDIT CARD FRAUD IS THEIR GAME! I was planning on getting my truck repaired by an independent mechanical repair shop in Rock Falls and renting a car for the day from Moore Tires. I went into Moore Tires a few days before the auto repair appointment and spoke with Rhonda in the rental department. One of the questions she asked was if I had a major credit card which I said yes I did and showed it to her. She immediately took my credit card and swiped it on her credit card machine. Remember this was several days before my scheduled appointment at the local repair shop. I asked her what she was doing and she said "Oh, I am just storing your credit card information. We will not charge you anything until the end of the day after you bring the car back next week". I thought that storing my information was a good way to have one of their sleazy employees steal my credit card information. As I was driving to the mechanical repair shop on the day of my appointment when I received a fraud warning text message and email from the people at Capital One. Re: Card ending in ****, Our fraud defenses flagged the purchase below as unusual for your card ending in ****. Do you or an authorized user recognize this purchase? January 21, 2019 GARCO, INC $200.00 These crooked burglars had the balls to charge my credit card $200.00 before I ever went to Moore Tires to rent a car. I immediately drove to Moore Tires to confront this gangster for placing an unauthorized charge of $200.00 on my credit card. This scoundrel told me that this was a "reserve" that she charged to my credit card which was none the less a plain and simple UNAUTHORIZED CREDIT CARD CHARGE which is totally illegal. She said THIS IS OUR POLICY TO DO THIS! I did not feel comfortable with these people in the first place and my first gut feeling was to take a pass but I put my trust in them and got burned. I had to contact Capital One who is great to deal with to report this incident. I had call 3 rental car agencies including Enterprise Rent-a-Car and none of them ever heard of this derelict practice. If you have any brains what so ever, stay out of this snake pit called MOORE TIRES and their alias "GARCO INC". Public Service Announcement: Don't take your tire or under body car needs to Moore Tires. Not only did they gouge my powder coated wheel.. It also took them an hour to mount one tire, not to mention they didn't deliver my tire that I ordered in the amount of time promised. I'll be going elsewhere from now on.. I just picked up my wife's car from Moore and when we got home she said that both her traction control light and her antilock brake lights were on. They were not on when we took it in. When I called to confront them about it they just said if they don't turn off after ten miles to bring it in and they will take a look. I said that we drove 15 miles home and all he said was to bring it in when we're in the neighborhood. Why could they not notice this while they had the car? They had to have ignored the lights when they drive the car into the parking lot. I will not be going back in the future. read more

there are a few words to describe this business,shoddy,incompetent,dishonest! I had brakes put on my pontiac sunfire by moore,after a few weeks the brakes were locking up and squealing. I was told they had turned the rotors and drums and put new pads and shoes on. I finally took the wheels off and nothing had been done other than pads and shoes replaced!! When I confronted a moore rep. he got really testy with me. Also after the supposed brake job I left and almost lost a front wheel because the lug bolts had not been tightened. I wouldnt take a bicycle to this inept operation. If you take your car there make sure your insurance is up to date! you are making a big mistake. thumbs down! read more

My boyfriend and I were on a roadtrip from Creston, Iowa to Chicago. Halfway through our journey our breaks suddenly stopped working. We rushed over to Moore tires twenty minutes before closing to have them check everything out. They were extremely friendly and accommodated us past their closing, which we're grateful for. We had a rusted out break line and they quoted us $150 to fix it. Unfortunately there was no time to have the work done that night, but they promised they could get it done in about two hours and would start first thing the next morning. So anyway, fair prices and great customer service. Give them a go. read more

On July 10th I dropped off a tire, from my husbands truck, that needed to be replaced. When I picked up the tire that afternoon one of the techs kindly loaded it into my vehicle. I took the tire home, & when my husband unloaded it he noticed that they had ground the powder coat off of the inside of the rim, in a few spots. We were both angry, after paying $412 to replace a tire, & then to have them damage a $300/400 rim. Whatever they used, they removed the powder coat down to the aluminum. He immediately called & told them that he wanted them to make it right, & that we couldn't get there before the 13th. When we arrived on the 13th we spoke to a tech & he brought in a manager. The manager(Craig?) Came off arrogant & defensive from the start & my husband matched his energy. The manager said that maybe they could clear coat it. My husband argued that it would have to be powder coated. The manger said "bring it back in 2 years when the rest of the powder coat is gone and prove it. Maybe I'll fix it then" The manager took pics and started walking away saying"I'll turn in the pictures. Have a nice day". My husband said he wanted corporates number, the mngr kept walking, pointed at the building & said "right there buddy. Right there!" All as he walked away. I am beyond disgusted. Having been in a management position, I can promise you that I would never treat a customer the way we were treated at Moore Tires. read more

Took my truck into Moore's tires to just get alignment (just had new tires put on all four with in a week or two prior, so all it needed was aligned) Truck was driving smooth had no problems it was just due for new tires, and it's always good to get the two things done at same time. I was not allowed in the back area until he came out telling me both hubs were bad. took me back there and showed me about 4 inch play on one tire and the other wiggled. So 400$ for two new hubs? I took my truck out of there, sounding like a pile of junk and barely driving.. Will not go back, something just wasn't right. I just seen it up on lift less then two weeks earlier when tires had been added, everything was in good shape, all was checked thoroughly when tires were add'ed. The only drive after tires was to my home 17 miles, and to moore's 26 miles. All good highway, no off the road, gravel roads or any out of the norm roadways. Moore Tires may be great with tires, but any other service does not have quality or backing. I had a head light and a tie rod replaced. The headlight stopped working after a day. I figured it had something to do with loose wiring so I took it into a local dealership; they showed me the lightbulb had fingerprints all over it from when it was put in- causing it to burn out, and they also said the tie rod needed to be replaced. I called Moore Tires and let them know what I found out. Their response was basically it was my problem and they were going to do nothing to fix it. Won't recommend this place to anyone for anything other than to replace a flat. read more

my truck started making clunking noise .took it to moore tires . I was worried after reading Jack e. reveiw but after they got my truck in I stood there and watch what they did .
