Brakes, rotors, oil change and Multiple oil gaskets replaced with Stlg Midas over multiple visits. Dealt with owner personally and believed they were able to address our issues, but we still have a leak. Costly guessing game. We are done. read more

Horrible! Took a truck in for muffler to be fixed. They talked with my son and decided to do a kind of strait pipe .they used some of the old pipes then " customized " the rest with some new pipe. Welding was atrocious! Also tried to use some sort of glass pack but that didn't work out but was charged for that anyway too. It cost over $360.00 and we had to take it to another place c & k and pay them to redo EVERY THING! Do not go to midas . read more

Good morning and good Day. I've been wanting to write a good review about 10 times now literary, i finally found the time this morning. I moved to Rock Falls 4 months ago and did not have a mechanic that i knew of, i took my car to Midas here in Sterling as my mom told my how kind and professional they were; it was only fixing a flat but it made a great impression on her. I have been there for All of my 100,000 miles tune ups and things that have broken down. they get busy so it is important to plan ahead. they have offered me a ride to get to my CDL class at Sauk Vally. Dan and his team are very competent and kind. I felt like i was home when i was so far away and for that i am truly grateful. Thank you Dan, Coney, Wes and the whole Sterling Midas Team. The service was fine and the interaction was friendly, but whoever was working the desk when I went to pick up my car wasn't wearing a mask. During the highest number of Covid cases the state has seen! It's not that hard. Please encourage your staff to wear a mask when customers are in the building. read more

I've used Sterling Midas on several occasions and found them to be an honest and very competent shop. I've had brakes and muffler work done as well as service for transmission and differential fluids recently. When I found a small transmission leak after the recent service, Dan.. the owner.. had me bring my car in and, having ordered a new pan gasket, corrected the problem at no cost. "We're glad to have your business," was the response when I tried to pay for the gasket and labor. Other members of my family also use this Midas shop and have also been treated extremely well. Prices are very reasonable and the staff works with you and explains what they're doing. Don't expect a posh waiting area.. just excellent work at a reasonable price with friendly folks. read more
