Not only did they do what they were asked, they also noticed that one of her sensors were bad. They gave us pricing information before we left and other tips. We'd had a long busy day and were all over the place trying to explain things. They were patient, shook our hands, joked around a bit. Recently ordered tires online and scheduled an appt. I confirmed the appt severals only to be notified 10 mins before arriving that my tires never came in. Rescheduled service, when checking in I informed them I'm keeping my rear tires. I only bought new tires due to mechanical work done on front end... I was assured the tires would be placed in the bed of my truck. Later that evening I went to store the tires but they weren't there. When I called I was told to come back and they'll help me look for my old tires. I returned the next day only to be told my tires were gone but they offered me some other tires, but those offered had bad wearing on the other edge. I ended up leaving without any ties. I accept responsibility for not checking that my tires were in the bed of the truck before leaving. Also my new tires weren't properly inflated. read more

I went to discount tire today on West Kimberly road in Davenport and the first thing I liked about it was TJ met me at my car door and asked me if he could help me and it was all good from there. We went to the register he told me about a couple of deals they were a little too high for me cuz I'm on a fixed budget and then he finally came up with the third one and that was it I said let's do it I got out of there with money in my pocket I was happy it didn't take very long I brought chips and a drink with me I thought it was going to take forever but I didn't even get to eat any of it it was done. The guy who worked on my vehicle came out and explain to me what he did and that he was all done pulled my car back up in the front and we were done I watched TJ as he worked with other people and he treated them just the same way as he treated me I will always go back there and I will always recommend discount tire. Purchased tires a year ago. Came in for a rotation and to have the tire sensors replaced. The tech said it'd be done in an hour and a half. I asked how accurate their time frame is and he indicated 'really close to what's quoted'. I waited. I watched the app notification they provide. So far it's been two hours 10 minutes. My car hasn't even made it into the bay yet. I understand a LITTLE Flex Time but don't quote a time if you can't come close. Staff has been friendly though. Lots of traffic in and out. Definitely a busy place so if they quote a time just know you'll probably be waiting a lot longer. read more

I always use Discount Tire in the area that I live in. Recently, I went to the one in my area, and they suggested that I couldn't do a rotation & balance. Reason being ,one of the tires was sort of close to the minimal 2/32 of tread depth. They instead suggested that I buy a new tire. I said no thanks. Fast forward a few weeks and I'm out of town working, and I'm here in Bettendorf and I hear a tire noise, so I go to the one that I'm reviewing now. I go to this facility in Bettendorf and tell him the story. They look at my tires , and say no you still have some tread depth. and there was nothing wrong with my tires. We will rotate and balance for you. They didn't have to be totally honest, and open , but they were. Five stars for honesty, when the guy back home was trying to upsell me on buying a new $200 tire on the premise that I needed it. .Good customer service at this store and I was in and out in 30 minutes. The people that work here are angels! My family and I needed a couple of trailer tires so I could make a trip across the country to be with family as I found out that I have cancer. I was getting my post grad and money was extremely tight. They wanted to make sure I got there safely so they replaced all of the tires on my trailer and charged me less than I could buy a tire anywhere else. The employees here are kind and care about their customers and their safety! They impacted my life more than they will ever know! Today, I needed air in my tires. An employee filled them up super quickly and told me that all 4 of my caps were missing so he replaced them free of charge. First I ordered tires that were 3 days late getting here. Then finally, at my 1pm appointment, they told me they would get right on it for me. At 1:45pm I checked on the progress to find they had not even pulled it in yet. Also, 2 other walk-in customers were helped ahead of my appointment. I got my keys and left, very angry. The following day, the manager called me, he apologized and explained he was off and this was not the service his store normally provides, and wanted a chance to correct it. After some time I relented. I will say, he more than corrected it to my satisfaction! I have been here a few different times and each time has been a great experience. They are super friendly, personable and informative, and each time has been a quick visit. I've purchased tires here and also had a tire repaired. I had a screw stuck in my tire and as long as it is located in a safe spot, patching the tire is completely free and I only had to wait 15 minutes. The waiting area is very nice and clean. They offer free bottles of water and coffee while you wait. Great place and I will definitely return! read more

My wife had 3 exceptional experiences with this store. I, on the other hand, have been deeply disappointed with my recent purchase of 4 Michelin tires for my 2016 Subaru Forester. We chose to purchase those tires there, even though we found them for a lower price at other dealers, because of my wife's confidence in their customer service. Here is why I am so upset with them: "Promise her anything but give her Arpege" - This line from an old perfume commercial captures the pre-purchase vs. the post- purchase experience. While shopping the tires, they made all sorts of commitments which they did not honor once I was there with credit card in hand. Let me elaborate: 1. BEFORE, they did inform me that they did not do alignments, but that they had an arrangement with a place that did them. When I came in to have the tires installed, they would call the place and arrange a same day alignment. However, AFTER, they just handed me a card from the place and said call them yourself. When I said I was told that they would arrange the alignment for the same day when I brought the car in, I was told, "I don't know who told you that. We just give you their card," to which I responded to the salesperson, "YOU told me that." Of course, when I called there was no workable appointment available on that day and I had to make one for the next day. 2. BEFORE, when I was shopping the tires, I was told that the alignment would cost me $50.00 AFTER, when I looked on the back of the card they gave, it is noted that 2-wheel alignments are $50.00 while 4-wheel alignments are $70.00. The person who told me $50.00 was the very same person who inspected my all-wheel drive car and processed the tire selection. 3. BEFORE, my wife called them to find out about using a discount coupon she found from Michelin. They told her that they were aware of the discount, would notify Michelin to send us the rebate. AFTER, when I asked them about the discount, they told me I had to take care of it myself, sending into Michelin the coupon and my receipt of purchase. 4. BEFORE, while shopping the tires, they told me about all the services and guarantees that went along with the purchase. AFTER, once the tires were purchased and installed the failed to supply me with any document stating and verifying those guarantees and services, leaving me with no proof should they ever choose to deny them to me. read more

I have purchased two sets of Michelins for an SUV and a sports car from this store. Balancing was perfect but the price was even better. Online prices are not the best you can do! The common understanding out there is that Tirerack prices are about the best you can get. Not necessarily true! Take the manager your online quote and challenge him with it. Worked out nicely for me. Very nicely. The technicians were careful with my cars and rims. I don't know if they used a torque wrench or a tuned extension on an impact wrench, regardless, they were close to recommended values when I checked. I'll keep going back. After years of taking my vehicles to this company and location. Having several issues like being charge for a punctured tire replacement when I brought road hazard ins. Another time of them putting the oil filter on wrong and all the oil leaked out. Now because I didn't want a lifetime wheel alignment and didn't buy the tires from them they refuse to align my vehicle. Needless to say I will never use tiresplus again. Beware of this location it goes through managers like I change my socks. Incompetent to say the least. read more

The staff at this location is amazing. My first visit to get all 4 new tires was extremely smooth and took no more than 30 minutes, everyone was very nice and professional. A few months later I bent one of my rims and messed the tire pretty badly and low and behold; my car doesn't come with a spare! I had the car towed to a different tire place and they were going to charge me $150 for the rim and $90 for the tire, plus labor was not included for putting the rim on. I called Discount Tire and they informed me that my tires were still under warranty and they would replace the tire at no cost and attempt o fix the rim before replacing it. I paid another towing charge to get it taken over to Discount Tire and it was completely worth it! They replaced my rim for $70 and replaced my tire under warranty and had the car done in 15 minutes! I can't recommend this location enough, they were extremely helpful and saved me a ton of money and a lot of headache. I highly recommend them for any and all of your tire needs. read more

I would like to post my sincerest thanks to Discount Tire for the fantastic service that they provided to me. On September 18, I was traveling by car from San Diego to a Suburban city of Detroit. My vehicle was very heavily loaded with bags and expensive equipment. Just before I was to cross from Iowa into Illinois I had a rear tire on my vehicle blow out. It was late in the day and I was traveling with my wife and children who were in another vehicle. My first thought was I'm in seriously deep trouble. I did not have much money on me or in my checking account. It was a very scary moment. However, after a moment of prayer I decided to call a tire shop for advice. When I put "tire store Davenport" into my phone, I just called the first number that came up. That first number was to the Discount Tire store in DAVENPORT IA. Shawndale France was the first person that I spoke to. After explaining the situation he asked where I purchased my tires. Suddenly, I remembered that I had purchased my tires through a Discount Tire store in San Diego. Shawn advised me to not to call a tow truck but to put on my spare and bring my vehicle in right away. He said they would take a look and see what they could do. When I was finally able to get there it was a little after 3:00PM. Brian Meads the store manager took a look at my information and was able to give me a great price on a new tire. He then went out to check my vehicle. Even from a distance I could tell from his face that he saw a big problem. As Brian walked around my car he pointed out how and why all my tires were clearly in very dangerous condition and would not be able to get me the additional distance to Detroit; especially with the load that I was carrying. I would need 4 new tires and I would need them now. My stomach felt like I swallowed one of those tires. I thought: How am I going to pay for the new tires? How will I get to where I was going? Brian was quick to remind me that I had purchased the tires from Discount Tire and that the company valued its customers. Especially, ones that were in difficult situations like the one I was in. We went back into the office and Brian showed me how that because my tires were less than a year old that he was able to provide a significant discount. In fact, he was able to get me back on the road with 4 new tires that were insured for less than one tire for some sports cars. If Discount Tire had not have honored its warranty and valued their customers I would have literally been marooned at the tire shop. Thanks to Brian Meads I was not. The friendly team at Davenport Discount tire was able to mount, balance and replace four new tires within a very short period of time. While I was waiting, there was even a New Burger King next door to grab a tasty snack while I waited. Within the time it took me to down a burger, onion rings and a tall icy drink they had me ready to get back on the road. Shawndale, Brian and Discount Tire really saved the day for me.
