I brought my truck in for a tire rotation arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time. I was told it would take 30-45 minutes max. I went next door to Theisen's and browsed for a bit. Came back 40 minutes later and when I walked in, the desk attendant said, "oh sorry, we will get that right in!" He says we should have it for you in 15-20 minutes. I bought 4 new wheels and I made the mistake of not checking the new wheels before they were mounted. A month or so had gone by when I got under my vehicle for the first time and noticed major, deep scratches on the inside of one of the new wheels. There's NO WAY that I damaged it and I could only assume that since I had to return twice within the first month with 2 ISSUES already, ( Center cap screw was missing and a bad wheel balance ) I was betting they would say I was at fault. Funny thing is, I really like the wheels and there are 2 people that work the front counter who had excellent Customer Service skills but it doesn't change the fact that the new wheels shouldn't have been mounted in the first place. I was very disappointed. I just spent money on damaged wheels and poor service from the kids in the shop. I really love writing 5 star reviews but this gets two. read more

I rarely write reviews. Today is an exception. On Monday, June 16, 2025, my Honda was serviced at Tires Plus in Davenport, Iowa. I am not a local resident of Davenport. I drove for over an hour to visit my daughter and thought purchasing 4 new tires would be a good way to manage my time. I was wrong. I ordered the tires online with a quote sent to my email. To my surprise, the Davenport store had a different price. When I questioned Randy (clerk) he was rude and sarcastic. He explained that the email price is different from the in-store price. I believe it is called bait and switch. It is a deceptive sales tactic. This practice is considered unethical and is often illegal. I checked in at 10:39am and out at 2:41pm. I don't mind the wait. I expect the individuals I hired to do the job of replacing my tires. I felt something was up when the tech wanted to know if I wanted a new in-cabin air filter. What? I bought tires! No! I don't want that service! Again, Randy (clerk) was rude and sarcastic. I also was listening to the store manager on the phone. I counted. He used the F-Word 11 times. He was arguing with a customer over the phone. Why as a customer did I have to hear the leader of the store telling someone on the phone to F-off. Later in the day, I also watched to my amazement when an attractive young woman came into the store. She bought and had two new tires replaced immediately. No waiting for her. She was in and out fast as I was still waiting. (Since 10:39am and now it is almost 2:15pm.) Fast forward to my trip home. Low tire pressure light comes on. The tire was losing air. I am glad I made it home safely. I called Tire Plus in Davenport the next day thinking a mistake was made by the tire tech as there was visual damage to one of the rims. Mitch said it was my fault. On the way home, I drove over something that caused the tire to fail. Since I didn't buy the road hazard warranty, I would have to pay for the tire service. To be clear, no damage to my rims existed before service at Tire Plus in Davenport, Iowa. (I did not buy the warranty because there are not any Tires Plus stores near my home.) Mitch hung on up. I called back, Mitch stated sarcastically" I can't wait for you to come to the store, I will give you the best service." Really? Tire Plus caused the problem. Tire Plus should fix the problem and stand by their product they sold me. If Mitch was not such an a-hole over the phone, he might have considered the following words, "I am sorry to hear you have a tire problem, since you live over an hour away, is it safe for you to bring in the tire into the store for inspection." No, he decided that I was the problem! I caused the tire to go flat! I have never been treated like that ever before in any tire replacement store. To hell with customers? Bait and Switch? As a customer of Tire Plus, knowing I spent $903 and I deserved better service. read more

Easy and quick experience getting my flat tire repaired at Tires Plus! I made an appointment online the night before, and was able to get my car in the next day. The staff were friendly and helpful, and gave me a call a few hours later when the repair was done. It cost $30 for them to repair the puncture in my tire. No complaints here! Smoked a pot hole on Brady street. Was able to get the car to these guys. They got the car in quickly and had me back on the road in no time. They replaced the caliper. From hardly able to drive to back to the road in two hours. I'm extremely impressed and would recommend them to anybody for any automotive needs. read more

I scheduled an appointment at 8 am for a bulging tire issue I had the previous day. The man on the phone told me he had an appointment at 8 am, asked me what tire I wanted, and where the problem was. I told him drivers side tire with a bulge and I want the cheapest tire you can offer. He says great see you at 8:30, I have a tire reserved you're the first up for the day it'll only take 30 minutes. I'm currently writing this in the waiting room at 11:30 while my car is still in the parking lot. I was called to clarify what tire I wanted and where the problem was this morning. I responded to the call at 10:18 AM where they told me they weren't sure what tire was getting replaced and now that they know it'll be an hour. Obviously that was a lie as the car hasn't been touched since I dropped it off at the key drop the night before. Not sure what tire to fix? Maybe look at the tumor coming out of one of my tires. read more

I called about a problem with my air pressure in my tires and they fit me right in without an appointment. While they were filling up my tires I asked them about an issue with my wiper fluid. They preyed on my 18yr old Daughter. She was sent in with a coupon for a FREE oil change. When she arrived she was told it would not cover the whole oil change because the car had "High" miles (125K). She was not given a choice between the two options. They do not know the work properly and over charge. They damaged my Rim covers while doing one service. They did not do Headlight restoration properly and I had to go back. The brakes did not work properly after replacement and i had to take car back.. And they could not diagnose properly issue with wiring and were just doing hit and trial. I was a long time customer who has purchased 4 different sets of tires here on 2 different cars in the last 4 years. Two days ago I took my car in for a flat tire repair. I was told that I had 3 nails in a tire and they only repair up to 2 nails so I would have to replace it. I was also told that 2 of the 4 tires had tread that was low and I could get a ticket if the tread gets any lower. (This is a bully sales tactic!!! I verified with the police.) It would've cost me well over $300 with their suggestion. This didn't seem right so I took my car to another locally owned shop that does tires. They told me I had 2 nails (not 3) and it only cost me $26 including tax. I was also told my tread is fine on all 4 tires. They even taught me how to evaluate my tire tread myself. You wanted me to spend $274 more than I needed to. We will be replacing all 4 of these tires before next winter, however we will be taking our business elsewhere. Where do I start. They lied to my face about the work fixing the problem. Returned my car in worse shape than I gave it to them. I complained and the manager said that 1) what one of the employees said to me, they didn't actually say - even though they weren't there; 2) that it was actually my fault; 3) I had to come in on a day that didn't work and sit there for 5.5 hours while they checked their work. Quick, friendly service, relatively well priced. We blew a tire and had to get a new one, but they were out of the tires we already had on our car and when they put the spare back it wasn't secured properly. You could still see it hanging below the car. It wasn't an exceptional experience, but it wasn't bad either. I'd recommend this place to others. read more

Very Poor Service! Paid $450 to be treated like crap. Tried to con $650 more out of me saying they couldn't do an alignment because of leaf springs. Called 3 other places and was told leaf springs have nothing to do with an alignment. Tired Plus tried to bully me into spending more money than I needed to! Have taken several vehicles to them, but will never return there. Left smart ass comments on my customer invoice as well. Tire replace, they serve coffee here and had tv in the small yet comfortable waiting room, place was clean and rep was friendly, can't give 5 stars because it took literally all day to replace my tire, although my tire was a special order, no one called to let me know of the delay, it was estimated my car would be ready by noon time, car was dropped off at 7am and I picked it up after I called them at 4pm. I've given Tires Plus several chances over the years to keep my business. The final straw was in November when they turned a routine $500 brake job into something far more expensive ($1000+) and kept my car for days because they couldn't handle the job in a timely manner. Even worse, when I finally did get my car back, there were noises coming from the wheels that didn't exist before bringing it in. There was also a noticeable burning smell coming from the wheels. It looks like I'll be spending more money to fix the problems Tires Plus created. I scheduled the appointment over a week in advance due to an issue with tires I bought from them in 2015. Tires Plus had sent me a recall notice that the tires they installed last year were defective and needed to be replaced. I figured while my car was on the hoist with the tires off, I'd have the pads and rotors replaced too. The brake quote was for $500, and their own brake inspection indicated nothing further. When I showed up to retrieve my car, I was informed that it would be over $1000 and that my car wasn't ready because they couldn't get parts. Eventually, I did get my car...complete with a new set of issues that didn't exist prior to my visit. Update 11/19: They did knock a couple hundred dollars off the bill for keeping my car much longer than anticipated. I still would like to know why I'm paying over $800 for a brake job that made my car noisy (when it wasn't before) and smell like burning metal when it runs. I now have to take my vehicle to another shop to figure out what Tires Plus did wrong. The final bill for this fiasco could be well over $1000 by the time everything is put back together correctly. Update 11/25: I took my car to another shop for further inspection. Another $950 worth of repairs there. The mechanics at this shop said Tires Plus missed some obvious safety issues and slapped brakes on a car that needed further attention. I'm so fed up with the situation Tires Plus created by 1) selling me faulty tires that necessitated another visit, 2) taking three days to perform a brake job that should have been done in an afternoon, and 3) sending me out on the road with safety issues related directly to their lack of a thorough brake inspection. It was also discovered that the burning smell and wheel noise was created by their sloppy installation of the new rotors. This is absolutely inexcusable. I'm finished doing business with this company. read more

Summation: Tires Plus tried to screw me out of about $1,100. My truck was out of alignment and it was making my front tires wear funny. I was on a road trip and went here. Not only did the guy say my tires, that were worn but not horribly so, would blown from bad wear in a thousand miles (because I told him I had two thousand to go and he needed to scare me into two new ones), he also said my racking pinion was shot (a five, maybe six hundred dollar job). All in all they suggested $1,091 worth of repairs, including an oil change (even though I had a sticker in my window saying I had one just the day before) and a $633 dollar fix on the racking pinion. There s a mechanic in the family who said, I think he s trying to get over on you. So I told the Tires Plus guy to do a tire rotation and call it a day (since he convinced me my racking pinion was so in need of repair that an alignment would be a waste without fixing the pinion as well). He stared daggers at me then did his job, hopefully well. Got my truck to were it was going. No tires blew. No problems at all, other than the alignment still being slightly off. A couple mechanics looked at it two thousand miles later. They said the racking pinion is perfectly fine. The tires, I might want to look at changing out in about six months. Other than that, you ve got some ball bearings that could use being swapped out. So yeah, F this place. An honest mechanic can be a hard thing to find. I would ignore Tires Plus and the fact that it even exists if I lived around there. read more

Went for brakes. Service writter misunderstood me and said I didn't want the work done and the mechanic threw the car back together. I told him not to do new calipers and to just do pads and rotors. Went to pick it up and was surprised the brakes didn't get done, could here the tech was being rude about the situation in the back. Left in car disapointed and offended. Cars breaks were completely grinding metal on metal. The pads werent even making any noise when I dropped the car off. After almost 2 decades of getting service, tires and even wheels I will never set foot in this place again and will make sure I let everyone about my dissatisfaction with this experience. read more
