The People's Champ -- and he truly lives up to the name…read more I honestly don't know if I'll ever be able to put into words how grateful I am to Kevin and everyone at The People's Champ. The day my husband died by suicide, it felt like absolutely everything that could go wrong went wrong. On top of the unimaginable loss my son and I were dealing with, our AC went out. For us, especially because I have a son with disabilities, having working AC isn't a luxury--it's something we truly need. Kevin came out to look at our unit and did a temporary fix to get us through, but he knew we ultimately needed a new system. I explained my situation to him, including that I had just lost my husband. Instead of simply telling me what the repair would cost and walking away, Kevin told me about a state government grant that I might qualify for that could potentially help us get a new unit. I'm not the greatest with technology, and there was a lot of paperwork and information I had to submit. Kevin went above and beyond and offered to help me through the process. There was a lot of behind-the-scenes work involved, but in the end, I was approved. I will never forget that. Kevin didn't just see me as another customer. He saw a mother who was struggling, a family going through an incredibly difficult time, and a son who needed help. He even put my son and me in his prayers. That kindness meant more to me than I can ever explain. I still cry sometimes when I think about how much Kevin helped us during one of the worst times of our lives. He could have simply been an AC repairman, but he chose to be a human being who cared. That is something I will never forget. I also want to give a HUGE shoutout to Bruce, who installed our new unit. He was absolutely meticulous and did the most beautiful, professional job. He treated our home with care and took pride in his work from beginning to end. And honestly, everyone who works for Kevin is top-notch. It says a lot about a business when the owner surrounds himself with people who care just as much as he does. We had them come out through our home warranty (American Home Shield). We recently had the roof…read morereplaced and the roofers put a nail straight through our heat pump condenser line. The guy from All Star came out for a consultation, and when he found out he needed more equipment to do the job, he serviced our other heat pump since he was already out there. He came back the following week with a camera that he snaked along the roofline to find the leak so he didn't tear up too much drywall. Once he found it, he repaired the pipe and did multiple leak checks before pressurizing the system again. The company used a local drywall contractor to do the ceiling repair and they did a really crappy job. All they did was put the new sheet up, without properly taping, puttying and sanding. The next day we called All Star to tell them they shouldn't use that contractor anymore, and to our surprise they offered us a refund on the drywall portion of our estimate. All in all, they did a great job, they were thorough, quick, and fair. Would definitely recommend!
