Several years ago we needed to replace some glass panels in our then 20+ year old Four Season's brand sunroom. We purchased the glass from the local franchise and Jason was contracted by them to do the install. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and very professional. When he was done with installing 10 glass panels, you'd never know he was here. Cleaned up, and away he went. Couldn't be happier with his work. Fast forward about seven years to May 2018, we started having issues with our sunroom again. We had the franchise guy out to take a look to see what needed to be done. Turns out all the sunroom hardware and structure was fine, it seemed the 34+ year old deck support structure below the sunroom might be the issue. I called Jason to come check it out. (I was so happy with his work before and smart enough to get his business card. Jason came, and again was very polite, courteous, and focused on resolving our issue. Happy to say, he did a fantastic job once again. I will surely be using him for all my handyman services moving forward, as I've become unable to do a lot of this type stuff for myself anymore due to a injury and now disability. "A Better Finish" is "A No Finish." This contractor walked away from a project, leaving behind…read moreunfinished rooms, crooked, unusable sheetrock, gaps everywhere, wrong board on bathroom walls and floors. New contractor needs to redo large portions of their work. They provided an estimate of a budget that they blew through by nearly a double. They signed a contract saying the project would take a handful of weeks. And here we are, many months later... and "A Better Finish" walked off the job. They are a disgrace to their profession. If you, after reading this comment, choose to hire this contractor, do yourself a favor and make sure they are never ahead of you financially because THEY WILL NOT COMPLETE their work. They will overcharge and they will underdeliver. They will blow through your budget with no remorse. Just as long as they get paid handsomely, daily. They turned a promising home and art studio that were supposed to bring joy to people who hired them... into an unfinished shell of despair. Do not use this company. I paid to block the birds from my porch. I am chronically ill and the poop…read moreis toxic. The job was supposed to take one day but his ladder wasn't tall enough & ground wet so he came back to finish. After that he said if the birds come back, call him and he'll fix it. Attached is a list of times he was a no call/no show until I reached out to him. I was very patient. Him & his secretary started lying about different aspects of the situation and then stopped replying to me all-together. I said I just wanted it fixed since $580 is a huge amount of money for me but the solutions up until then didn't work so I gave in to paying to get it fixed. None of his excuses make sense - he even said I need an exterminator which is irrelevant. He said he didn't show because it was raining but that only accounted for a few of the times, not the entire list shown below. Then he said he didn't work on holidays after he told me he would come on Columbus day & that the holiday was not a problem; that morning he said he forgot he had to watch his kids and he would be here in the afternoon - of course, he never showed up. This is a property services company that doesn't keep its word, doesn't care about finishing the job they started and has absolutely horrible customer service. No empathy for the disabled. I just wanted the job done so I said I didn't want to have to contact BBB/ leave a yelp review - I gave him notice so it could be resolved amicably - instead he said if I threatened him, he would not come back. In no way is alerting him a threat! It was an olive branch. Him and his secretary kept saying they would schedule time to come out and never did. Despicable people. He also said he would drop off the invoice copy to my home and never did. I have a photo but he did not do all the work originally listed so the $780 isn't correct but also NOT not a discount. Now I need to pay someone else to fix it. During recovery from 3 major neuro surgeries, this stress/deception is the last thing I need. Stay far away from them.

The job itself was careful and professional--not a smear or a smudge on the back wall. He also used a type of finishing I'd never seen before, with a beautiful matte texture. No brush strokes! He and his crew were prompt, courteous, cleaned up great, and finished in a reasonable time. We liked Bob's work so well we asked him back to paint our living room, and the outcome was the same--beautiful work, meticulously done and without a spot of paint out of place. Description of work: Prep and staining the exterior of a two story house including a very large deck. The deck had to be completely sanded down and needed primer then a top coat of decking stain. He also brought in a carpenter he works with to replace some rotting deck boards and fascia boards and rehang some gutters. It was great to have all of these repairs taken care of as part of the staining project and Bob managed everything.

The driveway looks beautiful, there is such an improvement on what it looked like before. I should tell that I had an idea for solving a problem that we were having with a part of the driveway. They did not use my idea, which was far more expensive, but instead solved it in a less expensive, very practical way. They could have upsold me, but didn't. I really respect that a lot. When it's time to re-seal the driveway I will definitely call them back.

They Showed up every day they said they would, worked hard and stayed late. Every time I called with a new idea or project they accommodated my requests quickly, safely and affordably. LIVES…read more Literally spent close to 20 minutes trying to find someone in Monroe to take a look at our A/C for a VRBO rental which went on a particularly hot day, coupled with an owner who wasn't as on top of things as we would've liked (that's another story). Anyway called Day & Night and got Carlos who was clearly in the middle of other things... who dropped what he was doing came right away in like 10 minutes and resolved the issue which turned out to be a clogged A/C unit.
