Driving through town, I decided to stop at what I thought was a locally owned barbecue joint instead of a fast food restaurant. I got a slab of chocolate cake & 1 brisket sandwich. The card reader wasn't working so I had to pay cash, that's why I added the cake. The cake was $12 *crying emoji* several layers, and it was stale *sobbing emoji*. The brisket sandwich was very greasy and had lots of tendons. It tasted like pot roast. Overall, I most likely won't return. I've been here four times in the past 6 months. Food is very tasty, but I believe it is overpriced for what you get. Ordering: When you enter, you go to the end ime! Food: When it is busy, the food is usually warm, not hot, when you receive it. Fries are nearly always room temperature. Kind of sad to see how mcmasters has decided to step away from being a restaurant and now to a drinking, live entertainment place. I'm a musician, I have nothing against live bands. Especially down here. I get it, there's no live bands in senoia. That being said, we walked in at 4:50 on a Saturday night looking forward to eating their food again. (It's been a while) sign outside at the door says kitchen closes at 5. What? So they were limited on what we could order but we did get a couple sandwiches which is all we wanted. Food still tastes great! I really don't get closing the kitchen down because a band starts at 8. I've played at Grazing Here many times and they get it. People eat dinner there and order while the band starts at 8. Maybe McMasters is making enough money from all the alcohol sales, maybe the weird location for McMasters makes it hard for them to compete with successful restaurants in Senoia? Food is still great but, we saw a couple people walk in and out realizing they weren't going to get dinner after five I have a beer once in a while. I'm not against social drinking but man, crooks is now a full fledged liquor store, McMasters is now a regular bar, we've got 2 more brewery's in town. Not the town I moved to 12 years ago. This is THE PLACE for BBQ in Coweta County, GA. Ribs, pulled pork, and pulled chicken are fantastic. Portions are large. Sides are great too including cole slaw, French fries, fried okra sweet potatoes. Service is super. You order and pay at the front of the restaurant. Food is then brought to your table. Ambience is like a typical southern bbq restaurant: plenty of room and nothing fancy, That said, the restaurant is extremely clean. Prices are very reasonable. Come hungry! read more

I've only had there wings and I've had them 3 times, first time was the best I mean they were great! Second time was small wings and dry. You HAVE to call ahead. Ask if it's open and if they're serving barbecue. Mcmasters is like one of those video games where it's only open when you've found the moonstone on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Don't trust the hours. Small business means that the owners leave at the drop of a hat. It took FIVE tries to get access to this barbecue with reasons ranging from sitting for an hour to find out they ran out of food, the kitchen closing long before the restaurant closes and the owners visiting their grandkids. However, when you manage to get the exact moment they have ribs, it is *amazing*. The ribs are fall of the bones good and the flavor is so so good. The sides used to be lacking, but now everything we've tried so far is great. The hash browns are SO crisp and the Mac and cheese is ooey gooey and cheesy. Also the beans are actually phenomenal, even if you're not a big fan of baked beans. Honestly the hours are 1/10, but the service and the food is so amazing that I'm literally willing to overlook that. read more

Huge, huge, huge fans of this little joint. I'm a sucker for their Brunswick stew and BBQ chicken. Two of my very faves. The BBQ chicken tastes like it has cooked all day in your granny's kitchen and the BBQ is so good that you just keep thinking about it! The stew is the same hot, fresh, and delicious. There was some talk on a local Facebook page about a new BBQ restaurant in Senoia. McMasters is tucked just off Hwy 16 in a small group of suites. There is shared parking with a few other businesses including State Farm whom I'm sure is less than pleased when their parking spots are taken by BBQ goers. Inside it's a bit tight on space. It does look very clean. You can order at the Counter for dine-in or carry out. The menu is very basic. All meats are pork based. There are no beef (brisket ) options. We ordered a few different things to get a variety. The BBQ pork sandwich - I ordered the large version which had just a small dollop of sauce on it was virtually tasteless ( except for the sauce ) you can tell that the pork once had a decent bark on it however I just didn't get much taste at all. No smokey flavor really and a bit dry. The bun was fresh and soft. I did have to constantly dip my sandwich into sauce to get flavor. I'm not sure if this sauce is homemade or store bought. There are two versions regular and hot. The Brunswick strew was a paste like consistency. Almost like everything was ground up like baby food. The only whole ingredient was corn. This is not for me. I prefer a chunky stew where you can see your different ingredients. The ribs were a bit dry but did pull off the bone pretty easily. You can tell they were basted during cooking because they are a little sticky. The ribs have a little more taste than the pulled pork but not much. The fries were freshly cooked as were the tater tots and had a good taste. The employees seemed to be very nice. The bathrooms were pretty clean. I've been searching for a good local bbq place and I guess that search continues. Until then, me and big green egg will continue to make our own. Wow, just wow!!! We tried the sampler platter and added 1 more side and split it. Perfect amount of food for 2. The sampler had brisket, pulled pork, smoked wings, and ribs. The only thing left were the bones! The ribs by far are better than Texas Roadhouse, or Smoky Bones. And the other meat was perfect. Really didn't need to add any cause to any of it. They have 2 sauces one is a little spicy and the other is mild which is a sweet vinger sauce. Looking forward to going back!! read more

McMaster BBQ I have to say I am so disappointed in the heart of the company.... Yes the food is good , it's BBQ many other competitors involved. It's understandable you need to make money, but to sacrifice the goodwill of your company for money, that's disheartening. I ordered a lb of bbq pork , 3 large sides and it came to be around 45.00. Since when does BBQ not come with bread? That's like chicken to biscuits so to speak! I asked about it coming with buns when paying and she stated," well that would be sandwiches now wouldn't it." You're response killed the whole meal ma'am. I asked to get a large sweet tea and she gave me a 16oz so I asked her if I could get a bigger size. She stated they only have one size drink but the 32oz cups was sitting right beside the 16oz cups. Wow!! The pork was without sauce but a 6oz (guestimate) takeout bowl of bbq sauce was in the bag. I asked if I could get more sauce and I was being charged for it. They wanted 2.00 for a bun, I needed four buns, sliced bread, crackers something to complete my meal. It's not bbq unless it comes with sauce and comes with bread in my opinion. It's a southern thing!!! First time going and I got some pork, ribs and brisket for the family. The brisket is the best I have had in this state. It was smoked and seasoned perfectly. The pulled pork was ok, I like what I make better but still it was decent pork. The ribs however had the worst fishy flavor I've ever experienced. Not sure how that happened, maybe they use fish sauce when they cook the ribs....not a fan. The stew was ok, lacked texture, seemed blended or something, had an ok flavor. The service was questionable, people were friendly but seemed more focused on taking orders than filling them. I watched my food come out and sit at the bar for 10 minutes as they walked by it several times before I asked if that was mine. I will definitely get the brisket again, the ribs will never pass my lips again. I would have given 4 stars had I not had to ask for my food after it sat on the counter for 10 minutes. read more

I really enjoyed the BBQ pork plate at McMasters. This was my first visit. Although, I prefer an applewood smoked flavor to my BBQ, this seemed to have a hickory smoke flavor. It was delicious though. But more importantly, it seemed freshly cooked that day. That is a big complaint I have with some other bbq restaurants is serving "leftover" bbq that doesn't taste fresh. This tasted fresh to me. I saw some bark on the bbq I had, but would prefer more -- but just my personal preference. The brunswick stew was delicious. It had the typical finely chopped texture that you see a lot of time in the south. It had a mild smoky flavor, and a slightly sweet/tangy taste. Very, very good! Coleslaw was great too, although I prefer mine more finely chopped. Customer service was great and they were very attentive. read more

Wow, I just lucked up and found this place. Me and my wife were bored with restaurants so we decided we would try experimenting. I was surprised when I got the a half a rack of ribs they were delicious, possibly the best I have had. You have to get there early or call ahead to reserve your ribs they only make so many a day unless you pre-order, so they may be out if you're late.
