My friends and I booked a stay through Poppy Vacation management company for my birthday in Palm Springs and we were quite disappointed with our stay. After booking the Airbnb based off the listing description, photos and the cancellation window passed, Poppy sends you a separate lease to sign with excessive rules including one limiting the AC temperature to 74 degrees or higher. My medical brace requires cooler temperatures, but when asked for an accommodation to lower the temperature or cancel the reservation to find a different place, we were told no. (See screenshots of email and Airbnb message.) This was frustrating because the listing did not mention any restrictions and we would have selected a different spot with AC to accommodate my disability. Upon arrival, the hot water was broken in the master bathroom which unfortunately made this shower and sink not usable for the first two days / one night. There was a fridge in the garage with no label that was filled with random items and we were unsure of this was stuff left by the previous guest or the owner. When I shared the photo with the host, they claimed the fridge had blue tape that said owners but as you can see, there was no communication / sign. Then when we explored the outside space, the majority of the outdoor furniture was damaged / very worn which made it difficult to enjoy lounging outside in the sun. We immediately reported the damaged / worn outdoor furniture to the management company with images but they did not offer to compensate or acknowledge the issues. On checkout day, we did not receive checkout instructions on what to do for clean up until we asked. The host was non responsive throughout the entire process and would leave me on read which you can see in some of the screenshots. During the stay, I asked about how to operate the ceilings fans without having the lights on because it was hot in the unit and we wanted some ventilation since the AC units weren't cooling, but we never received a response from the host. After our stay, we received a vague negative review that felt like retaliation because we spoke up about issues. Despite being constantly communicative, we received poor treatment and a lack of responses which is the opposite of what a host should be. I wouldn't recommend renting from this management company. The pros of the rental home was a great location, quiet neighborhood, clean linens, and lots of space! We liked that the home had board games and a poker table for fun activities. The TVs were huge which was great for watching movies. This could have been a really awesome birthday experience; however, the complicated booking process, poor communication, and unwillingness to accommodate my stated disability makes it tough to recommend this vacation rental property to anyone without a fair warning.

Do not rent from McLean.  The lack of reviews on their site should have been a warning, but we really liked the look of the house so we rented it anyway; it's titled "Beautiful Palm Springs Home" on their website.  The set up of the house was perfect, but we spent the first 4 days of our 28 day stay dealing with repair people.  Admittedly, McLean was responsive to our list of 14 repairs/issues, but if the property had been properly maintained and inspected prior to our arrival, these issues should not have occurred.  The problems included gross mildew in the master shower (see photo), the gas for the pool had not been turned on so we had to wait 2 days for it to warm up to use it, the gas stove did not ignite (unbeknown to us it had been unplugged), 2 faucets didn't work, the refrigerator and dishwasher were about 20 years old (the ice maker was broken -- the owner sent us a portable ice maker -- and the crisper bins were broken making it hard to pull them in and out; the dishwasher racks were totally rusted out in several spots (see pix)), one of the chaise lounges was totally torn (see pix) which the owner replaced.  Further, the house slept 6, but there were only 5 chairs in the dining room (several were broken) and only 4 for the outdoor table which was filthy (see pix).  We did get reimbursed for renting a bigger table and chairs to accommodate our family for Thanksgiving and for some kitchen equipment (there was no pot large enough to boil pasta or potatoes) The list goes on, but you get the point.

DO NOT USE THEM, PERIOD!! So I bought a house that McLean "managed" and all I can saw is wow!! Bare minimum was done to keep the owners investment up and running. McLean hires unlicensed workers to complete repairs and refuses to take ownership when someone calls them out on it. So here is the scoop..... As I was purchasing a house from an owner and i noticed water damage and was advised by the owner to contacted McLean to find out what happened. The owner hired McLean to manage the property. I find out there had been a water leak in Feb of 2019. Based on stories I have gathered, the tenants requested McLean to fix the issue which went ignored for at least 5 months. The tenants stopped paying rent to McLean because of this. McLean takes the tenants to court and loses. A judge orders McLean to fix the roof and drywall while allowing the tenants to live on property paying a discounted rent. McLean hired a (from what I can tell) non-license handyman to "complete" the job. The handyman painted over mold and never repaired a structural beam or removed any insulation. After purchasing the home and during the remodel, we found black mold everywhere along with a beam that is completely deteriorating do to the water damage. McLean knew there was water damage and failed to properly have their handyman clean up and fix the damage areas. McLean left BLACK MOLD in a house full with a family and pets. McLean says they didn't know, but they were in the courtroom when the judge ordered them to fix it. McLean has failed to provide me with the handyman's information that they hired to complete the work. McLean has also failed to provide me with their insurance information. In fact their lawyer told them not to. In the attached photos you will see the damage to the wall that was sealed up with black mold frowning inside along with the beam that's deteriorating. I have also provided the case number to the court case. McLean has had several Real Estate and Broker license issues over the years. BE CAUTIOUS WHEN USING THIS MANAGEMENT COMPANY!!

The first thing that people said to us for our wedding at the Colony was "how did you find this place!' We're wedding photographers ourselves (me now retired), but we shot a wedding in Rancho Mirage at some estate that I can't remember, but it was amazing. We've seen many weddings over the years and all the while, we've been cherry picking what we liked, loved, hated etc. For us, our tight-knit family and friends are big part of our relationship and it's growth so we wanted a venue that could show our appreciation for them. Logistically, my husband found this place google searching for "palm springs estate" and came across this vacation estate. We quickly looked into holding a backyard wedding and it affordable! I think it's far better to spend on a venue that you can stay at for a couple days and enjoy it fully versus a couple of hours for your reception. There was a few criteria we used to pick this place: - Not too many weddings were done here (originality) - Perfect Weather (couldn't be too hot for my husband, who sweats at 69 degrees) - NO TRAFFIC - Feel like a vacation (we work really hard from home, so we need a proper break at the end of year) - Didn't have to decorate - Friends and family could stay with us or just minutes down the road at local hotels. Other than that, the best parts about the main house: - the heated (bath like) pool, the spa had very powerful jets and got very hot (me like) - the cleanliness. (no carpet = no allergies) YAS - The hiking trail on the mountain has incredible views - the beds are super comfy and firm enough for my back problems - bathrooms are legit clean and they provide towels, pool towels and even soaps and lotions The staff are incredibly nice and friendly as well. Adrienne was such an amazing event coordinator. She really helped me throughout the whole planning process and is incredibly responsive and sweet (a big thing to look for in any vendor you work with for your wedding) Dennis the concierge was so sweet and helpful as well. His welcome and goodbye throughout the check-in and check out process really made our stay feel so homey. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. Had a rehearsal dinner on a Thursday, wedding on Friday and chilled on through till Sunday. It was just amazing. Many times, I felt so overwhelmed with happiness I would just cry looking into the stars or the mountain that blocked the Palm Springs high winds. It was so perfect. Even the smallest hiccups are now seen as perfect, because of how freaking perfect it felt. LOL Kevin and I loved it and are definitely going to make visiting the Colony a yearly thing for our wedding anniversary.

I always rent properties when i plan vacation with my family. Rhianna & ceecee were always helpful everytime i have some questions. We rented the chino hills property . Its beautiful and perfect for our family. House was clean and all the amenities we needed were there. I will definitely use McLean next time a plan a trip with my family in palm springs.

I wanted to hire the best and decided on Ryson. Jason and Ryan are incredibly hard working. Sometimes I send emails in the middle of the night and feel bad because I know they will still respond quickly. Yes, they have a pre-set onboarding process, but I found it to be very professional. I wanted to open at lighting speed because I had been delayed so long with the pool construction. I bought a lot of things that just weren't needed like duvet covers that weren't white or pillow cases that were special and only in a set of two and those had to go. That was disappointing, but we didn't want sheets in the photos that were impossible to replace. It's better to have things done perfectly so your first guests will be 10 star happy and ours were. The consistent comments I get from guests are that the management company is quick to respond and resolve problems. From their website identify their properties and look at the reviews there and on Airbnb. Many of the comments will not only compliment the house, but also Ryson typically it's related to communication, problem resolution or cleanliness. I've had pool issues and after many months of dead ends, they helped me get to the bottom of the problem. With our city getting serious about neighbor complaints, I'm not worried because I know Ryson will be on top of it. We had one group during Cochella that was playing meditation music so loud that I got a call from the neighbors in the middle of the night. Ryan let them know that they would be out there right away and if he could hear the music from the exterior of the home he would immediately terminate the stay if the guests didn't comply. They were also protective to ensure the safety of their cleaning staff. It cost me money, but I respect that. If staff are treated well, they will take care of the home well. No management company is perfect. It's a demanding job with lot of surprises every day. We look at the house as a business. It doesn't have to be my way, it just needs to be safe, beautiful, professionally managed and provide our guests with a great experience. Starting with the deposit which could've been made online, but I was told that it couldn't only then to be Harassed by emails stating that it wasn't paid on time when they wouldn't let me pay it before I moved in because they needed a cashiers check and I was moving from out of town. Showed up at the property. The property had not been inspected by the realtor. It was filthy. It was turn key. There was no sheet on the bed. The refrigerator was full of food. The shower was filthy. There was no key to the mailbox, no gate code. It is now dark and I am sitting on the porch waiting for the cleaners to finish up so that I could move in a unit that was supposed to be ready yesterday. The agent is very pleasant, but certainly doesn't do the due diligence that is requires to rent a property. I rent every winter in the desert. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had. And fairness to the agent, I will say that he did run out and buy bedsheets. But all of this could have been avoided if he just would've inspected the property prior to telling me it was ready for me to move in. Again, a lovely person not a great agent.

Vacation rental in Palm Springs is definitely a tricky space, and I was shocked about their failure on so many levels. Luckily I had enough complaints, they did let me terminate my contract. That is the only good thing I can say about them. Brad in response to your comments: Open air withheld over 900$ from the Arbnb property damages monies disbursed to me .... Your rationale was to reimburse yourself for cleaning that was ordered by Open Air! Again, this cleaning was order by open air Open air did not send Anyone from the team to come on sight to oversee the damages & cleaning, Open air Instead instructed me to handle and have cleaned whatever I felt like needed to be cleaned. Then open air reimbursed themselves!!!!!! This is only one example of the lack of follow up and oversight which would be expected from the management company.

I am very happy that I have met Brad and his team a year ago. OAH is a team of professional, experienced, responsible, and passionate people and that's literally everyone of them. They take good care of my home, the guests, and me! They are always on top of repairs, making the home beautiful, and keeping it in good shape. They also diligently screen our guests to make sure that they are good guests respecting the home. We had difficult guests and situations from time to time, they are always responsive and work around the clock to ensure our guests are always left satisfied with great reviews. I am a very busy person and I travel all around the world. I am in and out of LA. I just need to know that my property is in good hands and be able to sleep at night no matter where I am. Whenever I have a request, Brad and his team respond quickly and they always provide good solutions and advice. Before OAH, I was using another property management company that seems bigger and better but they left me with nightmares and feeling unsettled with how they managed my home, received disrespectful party guests, as well as not responding to my communication and I couldn't stay with them for more than 3 months so I truly understand how important it is to have the right team that I can trust. As a short term rental owner for the better part of 15 years, I had fairly miserable experiences with pretty much every other company, as they really only put their time and energy in the big mansions in the hills in Palm Springs, and rarely gave my condominium the attention and bandwidth l it deserved - ESPECIALLY as it was booked SOLID SEPT-MAY... and especially as I paid handsomely for my own marketing to ensure that it stayed full and busy. The last straw was with a company named ACME that pretty much made me nothing, and asked me to pay insurance that was insanely over budget for a small one bedroom condo; when I was enough to meet KEVIN and his team, he graciously took me on and quickly learned everything there was to know about short term rentals, how to best market small condos for short term, etc, treating my condo as if it were his own. From warmly greeting guests and giving them a tour of the facilities, to answering patiently all of the tourist questions that come in short term renters, dealing with last-minute emergencies in the middle of the night... The full band width of what a great property manager should be doing, KEVIN did with grace, patience, and an integrity and attention to detail that was unparalleled. The money was always 100% accurate, he handled everything and paid thru collected rent exactly on time every month, and honestly waived fees he really should have charged for outstanding presence and execution ... Things that most rental companies will charge a premium for- sticking around for the three hour window for the cable company to come repair a line, standing around waiting for the air-conditioning company to come by for its maintenance and repairs, even schlepping out on a weekend to deal with Guest complaints... KEVIN graciously did so without trying to nickel and dime. Once word got out about how outstanding KEVIN's team was, he quickly took over pretty much every rental in my association, and now carefully considers taking on new properties to ensure he can give it the best possible service. Whether you have a short term, long-term, or full on regular lease property, Kevin should be your first car. Even if he cannot take you on, he will give you options as to the next best possible management company in the area. MUST CALL.

Our situation was incredibly challenging - needing a venue at the last minute during the second week of Coachella - a timeframe most would consider impossible. Yet, Ryan not only secured the location for us, but he also went above and beyond by accommodating our wedding planner and decorating team a day early. This preemptive measure was crucial in ensuring a seamless and timely setup for our ceremony, preventing any delays on our special day. His willingness to work with our urgent needs and his proactive approach to problem-solving truly saved our wedding. We are immensely grateful for his flexibility, professionalism, and commitment to making our dream wedding a reality. We can't thank him enough for his extraordinary efforts. Totally worth the price of the venue too. Especially during the festival season when everything has been booked months in advance.

The management is extremely responsive and helpful. This property is what made me come back to Palm Springs. This home is a great value for what you pay. I think I've stayed at over 100 rentals internationally and this is easily in my top 3. if you are able to stay here do yourself a favor and book it!
