Even the smallest details were thoughtfully taken care of, from the coffee and sugar to the kitchen utensils and all the little essentials that make a stay comfortable. I actually brought my own disposable utensils and supplies because that's something I normally do when traveling, but I quickly realized I didn't even need them! Everything was so clean, organized, and beautifully presented that I felt completely comfortable using what was provided. That alone says so much about how well this property is maintained! Also after the concert, I saw the fridge had water and even sparkling water in there for us a lot of hotels don't go the extra mile to do things like this and I really did appreciate it. Also, one thing that I really appreciated was my husband and I realize we left his backpack and the owner after calling him immediately ran over picked it up for us and held it for us. Unlike big hotels which would've made us leave a message to Lost and Found. This show shows you that you get a little extra great service. Definitely will stay here again.

They were unintrusive, yet always on the premises if a guest needed anything. Under their care and ownership, The Hideaway was was given a Class 1 Historic Site designation in Palm Springs, and it well deserved it. Their hearts were in this place. The communal kitchen was open to all and from it, a light morning breakfast of fresh brewed coffee, teas, fresh fruit and fruit juices, yogurt, and toast and english muffins were offered. This was served in the adjoining lounge area which was open all day for guests to enjoy. (Pictures still remain on this website.) It was a great venue to meet and chat with other guests if that's what you felt like doing. (I imagine Covid shut this down, but they never brought it back.) The well-maintained bikes they had on the property were designated for guest use. We had a blast many mornings riding around Palm Springs seeing sites one would be inclined to miss driving by in a car. In the afternoons, as guests swam and lounged poolside and sipped whatever they were drinking, this kind of breezy, light 50's/60's martini lounge music played, adding to the whole mid-century vibe. This place was absolutely amazing. We were sad when the owners sold, but hopeful that new management would take the same care of this historic property and its guests, but it is now an entirely different experience. Gone are these amenities, as is the care and the heart that went into running this place. It looks and feels like if a dime can be saved by providing the minimum, it is. (To be fair, there are coffee pods and Kirkland breakfast bars in every room). Staff is rarely around; during our last stay, we had to repeatedly call someone to get the pool cleaned and cleaned the pool ourselves several times. Stuff is broken or torn and neither fixed nor replaced. After coming here annually for well over a dozen years, we were spoiled by what was. It's a shame and a disappointment that the care and attention that went into our amazing experiences at the Hideaway are gone. This Historic Site in Palm Springs deserves better and so do its guests.

I'd been following them on social and finally got to stay for their one‑year anniversary. Happy to report: it lives up to the hype. This 13‑room hotel was thoughtfully renovated into a luxe, relaxation‑first retreat. The property is compact but never feels cramped -- every corner is intentionally designed. They offer free bikes (which we fully took advantage of) and pedaled to the nearby night market. There's a small bar and an onsite mini‑shop stocked with health‑forward snacks and a few alcoholic options; we tried their most popular cocktail from the bar and a canned kombucha -- both were excellent. We stayed in the king suite, which has its own outdoor patio with a tub -- perfect for two. Rooms offer optional wellness add‑ons (yoga mats, blocks) and a healthy snack and beverage menu. Toiletries were high quality, the bed was seriously luxurious, and the furniture and decor felt elevated without being fussy. The staff were warm and gave us so many great local recs. Spa and pool area -- outstanding. The Himalayan salt sauna is beautiful enough to be art, there's a cold plunge for the brave, a hot tub, a rain‑shower room, and a pool with 24‑hour access. We used everything and found it all clean and well maintained. Small notes: light sleepers might want an eye mask -- some light leaks through the curtains. A couple of easy improvements would be dimmer lighting in common areas at night (it currently shines into some rooms) and offering spa slippers to pair with the robes. Overall, a wonderful stay. Well, we love it so much that this is our fourth time staying here. We have stayed in Blue Skies Villa, Villa Aurora, Villa del Palma, and checked into Shangri-la yesterday. Each villa is charming in its own way. The property management team gives a special welcome by setting the mood with mod sixties music playing on the surround sound speakers, providing a bottle of wine, cold bottled water and soft drinks, a fruit basket, ground coffee and pastries from their local bakery (Aspen Mills), which can I tell you, hands down is the best blueberry muffin I've ever had! Since this is our fourth time back in 9 months, Ginny (lovely property manager) had a fresh bouquet of fragrant Lilies waiting for us. The fruit basket contains two small cups of yogurt, a few small bags of nuts, banana, lemon, limes and a citrus fruit picked from one of their many citrus trees located throughout the villas. Shangri-la has a grapefruit tree. Villa del Palma has an orange tree, Villa Aurora has a grapefruit and orange tree and Blue Skies has an orange tree. Ginny is very attentive. When she found out that the cranberry loaf was my husband's favorite, she's had this waiting for us upon arrival. Each villa we chose to stay in has two bedrooms/2 baths, its own private pool and jacuzzi, two car garage, front patio with BBQ, surround sound stereo with built in speakers throughout the whole villa and each is equipped with cooking utensils/dishes, washer/dryer (detergent provided) and pool toys. Villa Aurora has a walk in spa with essential oils to help enhance the experience and Shangri-la has a third bathroom. The average nightly rate is between $325 - $395 (weekends have a higher rate). There is also a separate daily $35 utility surcharge. Not bad for everything!! I'd say that's a deal!
