So let's all just be real with ourselves, no one likes the dentist. I have found a few over the…read moreyears that I've liked aspects of my visit but not the whole visit. HOWEVER, I will say that this is the first time from start to finish. I changed dentist due to my work and location so this past winter I was looking for a new dentist. I asked a co worker of mine and she recommended this dentist. I did my own research and decided to give it a whirl. The front office staff was great. And my hygienist was knowledgable, talked me through everything and even made a note in my chart about preferences much appreciated. Additionally, they do provide fluoride for their adult patients. This is crucial and I've been getting this ever since I've gone to the dentist. Meeting the dentist was great, she was personable and shared her advice with me about my concerns. She did not force me into any decisions and said it was my choice but she would air on the side of conservative treatment. Overall, it was a great experience and honestly I am not dreading my next appointment.

Let's start with my obsession with my teeth. I'm a patient that never gets told to "floss more." I have an illnesses which causes me to vomit frequently, sometimes with no warning. I had an episode while in the Martin Dentistry office some time ago. It's not as though they didn't know or hadn't seen it. However, after being late to an appointment which was rescheduled I was ridiculed. Call me silly but I didn't want to uncontrollably vomit all over the dentist or hygienist. Frankly, it's a health risk. I could've easily choked on my vomit during treatment. You can be the best dentist but with an unprofessional, patient facing staff you will eventually lose business. Side note, somehow the office suppressed my Google review. Now I consider them unreliable.

The dentist has been very friendly, kind and reassuring. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. It is very busy and you may have to wait if you don't have an appointment but that is entirely reasonable. That is down to the volume of people wanting to use the service rather than a problem with the dentist.

The office girl said I had a credit and there would be no charge. In July 2026 I had an appointment on July25, 2026 at 4 pm. The office girl said I was a week early the appointment is Aug 1, 2026, at 4pm. While I was in the office on July 25th, 2026, the office girl asked to update my information. She had my correct address and phone number. On August 1, 2026, I walk in and the office girl is different. I tell her my name and what time my appointment is. The office girl tells me I will be considered a walk in as I did not confirm my appointment. I asked the office girl, "How do you confirm an appointment when no one from this office called, emailed or text me." The office girl says, "Oh wait we do not have your phone number." I said that is impossible I was in here last Saturday and the girl updated it. I gave my phone number again. Then when I ask the office girl to tell me what address they have it's the wrong address. I give the office girl my correct address. The office girl informs me I cannot be seen today as I have a $7.00 outstanding bill from February 2025. Turns out the Feb 2025 visit was not fully covered by my credit. When I see the office manager, she keeps telling me about how it is an insurance issue. I repeated numerous times to her I paid out of pocket, as I did not have insurance. I paid the $7.00 and got to see the dentist. When I was taken to the back the medical assistant asked why I was here. I told her I had braces and the orthodontist wanted confirmation that he fixed my problem. The medical assistant responds with, "You don't have braces!" I responded very firmly "Yes, I do!" She moved herself over and made me open my mouth to confirm. Without warning the medical assistant tells me to open up and she tried to take an x-ray. She scratched my mouth and I told her to stop. I said I am only here to have the dentist confirm that the orthodontist fixed the issue. When the dentist came in, I told him about my horrible experience with the office. I said I just need you to confirm the Orthodontist fixed the problem so my braces can come off. The dentist confirmed the issue was corrected and he would let my orthodontist know the braces can come off. I go out to check out, and the girl throws her arms in the air and says, "Oh no, I am not ready for you! Go out in the waiting room." I sat and waited and the office girl opens the door and says, "Do you need to schedule an appointment?" I said, "No! I am never coming back!" She smiled and said, "Bye!" To be that careless with patients' personal information is so unprofessional. I will be finding a new dentist!
