So let's all just be real with ourselves, no one likes the dentist. I have found a few over the…read moreyears that I've liked aspects of my visit but not the whole visit. HOWEVER, I will say that this is the first time from start to finish. I changed dentist due to my work and location so this past winter I was looking for a new dentist. I asked a co worker of mine and she recommended this dentist. I did my own research and decided to give it a whirl. The front office staff was great. And my hygienist was knowledgable, talked me through everything and even made a note in my chart about preferences much appreciated. Additionally, they do provide fluoride for their adult patients. This is crucial and I've been getting this ever since I've gone to the dentist. Meeting the dentist was great, she was personable and shared her advice with me about my concerns. She did not force me into any decisions and said it was my choice but she would air on the side of conservative treatment. Overall, it was a great experience and honestly I am not dreading my next appointment.

Can anyone truly say they enjoy a dentist visit? Me either....but, everything was on time, the…read morehygienist was EXTRA gentle (which I needed), and the dentist was able to make recommendations to correct an error made at a different office. Everything was spotless and I liked the very private room my cleaning and x-rays were done in. I'll be back in a few weeks to get some minor work done and, for probably one of the first times in my life, am not dreading the follow up visit.

Beware of this place…read more My first visit as a walk-in, I waited three hours and was sent home with antibiotics. When I came back a few days later, I only wanted one tooth pulled, but the doctor wanted to pull all my teeth. I told him no, just the one. He smiled, numbed me up, and started pulling the tooth. I've had teeth pulled before, so I know what it feels like. He had the tooth almost out when he suddenly said, "I was hoping that wouldn't happen." Then he grabbed a grinder and started grinding. After a moment he said "Oh no," stopped, and pulled the tooth out. He set it on the table in front of me, and it had been ground round. When I left, I could feel a brand-new gap in my only back tooth that wasn't there before. I called a lawyer when I got home, but nothing came of it. About a year later that tooth started throbbing with pain. When I went back and told the nurse and doctor what happened, they didn't believe me. They hurt me again, took $100, and then said it would be another $400 to pull the painful tooth. Another time I waited three hours again. A man came in who had all his teeth pulled the day before. He was crying in severe pain, begging for help, and saying he had already paid. It was heartbreaking to watch. He was still sitting there when I left. Later they told me that doctor doesn't work there anymore. I can't imagine why.

With the sedatives & his quick manner I was confused. With the Drs bedside manner I began to have a panic attack. His tone & choice of wording was more than questionable. I walked into the lobby and grabbed my husband. My husband came back to the room to speak with the doctor and nurse. After a discussion we left. I had never had such an experience and was confused. Days later, my husband agreed with my feelings that something didn't feel right during my experience. I reached out to Hornadays team & asked for the Dr to reach out as I'm concerned about what medications I took, how they may have interacted with my usual meds, and why I had such an adverse reaction to cause an intense panic attack. Hornaday never reached out to check on me, offer an explanation, or even reply to my email. I wasn't even aware that was an option for doctors- refuse to reach out regarding questions about an operation. My feel .... Odd about this. I did research to find a lawsuit (public record), several negative reviews matching my experience in slight ways, and a general mistrust of the doctor while speaking with those I know in the community. I'm writing my experience to the Attorney Generals office because I don't want others in our community to feel the way I did while sitting in his office. I've never felt so belittled & violated by a doctor. His bedside manner is very abrasive & crude to say the least.
