They're nice as far as customer service but I don't like that they charge 3% for credit in 2025. Literally the only business I've ever come across to do so. They are also very expensive compared to some other dealerships so the extra 3% just makes it feel like an even more unpleasant experience each time. read more

These guys couldn't program a key. Said there was no guarantee that they could program the key and I would have to pay for it regardless of weather or not it worked. Said the same thing about a key if I was to purchase said key from them. Service manager had zero confidence in their ability to program a Volvo key to a Volvo car. I wouldn't walk away from buying a car here I would run! Sarah, a sales person there, is totally incompetent and can't be bothered to do her job and acts like her dad owns the place. Maybe he does because David, the manager, was quick to share that Sarah knows nothing about cars or sales. David's got a big ego and loves to mansplain everything all the while cutting corners. Save yourself the time and go to Volvo Dublin. Dublin is an actual professional dealership unlike this high school of a dealership I went to. This is the most unprofessional Volvo I've been to. I was getting something small serviced on my car and sitting in the waiting room I can hear a whole bunch of jokes and inappropriate conversations happening. Not sure if it was from service department or the sales people, but it was very uncomfortable. The lady at the front desk of the service department ( didn't catch her name) had nothing but ATTITUDE. Im so surprised she still has a job because after my experience and talking to other Volvo owners they shared the same experience. If I'm spending money why do you have an attitude after I ask a simple question?? Needless to say I won't be going here ever again. read more

I've bought many cars over the years, but this place was over the top shady and dishonest. My car had no window sticker on it and they refused to provide it at the time of purchase- totally illegal. They overcharged me from the agreed upon price. They included things I definitely did not want, like a paint protectant, and lied when they said they would remove the cost. I'm still trying to get that taken care of; they said they cut a check to Volvo to compensate for it, but they haven't. Emails, phone calls and I'm still getting nowhere. I recognize that car dealerships have to make money, but they don't need to break laws and lie to do so. Places like this don't deserve anyone's business if they're not willing to be open, honest, and fair with people. Buyers should take their hard earned money somewhere else. read more

I purchased a used car from McKevitt in 2019 and presumed everything would be easy to manage. The initial sales experience was fine and we drove from the lot presuming that things were done. A year later, we found out from DMV that the title transfer was not submitted correctly and the car couldn't be registered to drive legally. I tried to follow up with voice mails and phone messages without out success. On September 17th, 3 years after purchasing the car, I took time off from work to go back to the dealership and spoke with the finance manager who confirmed the purchase and the paperwork. They took copies of the paperwork I brought, including the paid off title for the vehicle and related that they would follow up with DMV to complete the title transfer. Since then, I've contacted DMV and the title remains unsettled. No one returned any calls or emails. The situation remains unresolved and the car purchased is still not legally allowed to be registered or driven. It takes a lot to get to this point without any resolution but would feel unsettled with any purchase of a used car at this dealership if they can't complete a title transfer appropriately. It then leads to the question of the legality of the sale and transfer!!!! read more

Have an appointment made two weeks ahead of time for brake replacement. Took the day off and drove quite a distance away to arrive on time only to be told the parts was not there yet. A trip and a day wasted. Was told they would call the next day when the parts arrives. Waited around, now it is day 4 and never a beep from the service dept. What a waste of time!!! read more

I got my Volvo XC-60 back in Jan 2024. Loved the car (still do). However, I was not ready to buy or lease such an expensive car. And I was before vacation, and the timing was not the best for me. Please do not do as I did - go home, even if you love the car, do not yield to the pressure to buy! It was a typical high-pressure sale. I end up getting a lease (for lease I could get a $7500 plug-in discount). Do not buy any rental insurance - it is all a big lie! Anyway, Idris, the dealership's Financial manager, persuaded me also to buy Lease Wear and Tear Insurance. I did not want to, but he said, it was refundable and if I bought out the car earlier (which was my intention) there would be a pro-rated return. Turns out it is not so simple. I cannot get my money back at all. I paid about $1500 for the insurance I did not need and they do not return it, full refund or prorated, not at all. And I am really mad about it. Do not buy any rental insurance - it is all a big lie! I bought out the car at the beginning of April, by submitting the check to Volvo hear-quarters. Volvo HQ financial services told me that insurance refunds should be handled by the dealership. I got to the Idris in May and he promised me to submit the request and wait for the check. Then he would not respond to my few emails and did not communicate anything at all, phone or email. Finally, after my vacation, I came again at the beginning of August. Did not see him, wrote an email, and copied Matt (my salesman). when I came back in the end of August, Matt eventually helped me to find Idris. You would think he was a movie star - impossible to track! This time he submitted a request online on their system. Only it was wrong. Idris provided a lengthy explanation today over the phone (finally responded to my call - achievement!) It still does not sound right. Turns out the cancellation of insurance has to come first, then buying out. He did not tell me that before. And Idris did not tell me that in May. And whatever is written in contract does not say it. It is their system that works this way and cheats a customer out of an additional $1000 or $1500! read more

Eleanor is an amazing salesperson. We have been looking for an EV. We periodically look at cars anyway but this year we've been more serious. I sent an inquiry and Eleanor helped me. Those of you who are married and not male may have noticed that is nearly impossible to have car salespeople even entertain talking to you without your husband present. They had me sign a purchase agreement on a used car I was interested in buying prior to it passing smog - found out later that's totally illegal! Then they wanted to back out of the deal due to a minor issue they were too hard headed to admit they didn't know how to resolve. The salesperson I initially dealt with was clueless, eventually started making up stories about why the car wasn't ready for pick up as scheduled, and eventually just stopped communicating altogether which is extremely unprofessional. They charged me a processing fee for DMV paperwork that they completed incorrectly and months later has yet to be resolved. read more

I had another really positive experience at McKevitt today. The passenger side window of my XC40 Recharge had a stubborn, gritty film on it that was making it hard to see clearly when the sun shone directly on the glass. It hadn't responded to cleaning attempts. And oddly, it didn't show up unless there was direct sun. I went in expecting to have to convince someone there was a problem and pay for a replacement window to the tune of about $600. The front desk man did not disbelieve me, took the car back to service, and returned 15 minutes later saying the service staff verified the problem and used 'elbow grease' and cleaner to rub off the film. They topped off my tires, changed my fob battery, sent me on my way, and charged me nothing. I find the staff at McKevitt unfailingly friendly and helpful. It's a great dealership! read more

Fast forward to 2023 and in the market for a second car, we were looking at every other non-Volvo option out there to diversify. However, after a regular service appointment on our XC60 we were reminded of what exceptional, customer-focused service this dealership provides. We were so blown away we threw out the other car options and ended up buying a 2nd Volvo from Jeff again (this time an XC40 Recharge)! I regret bringing my car here for any service. This is my second time, and its no different. Both times, I've made the effort to take their very first appointment in the morning, at 7 - 730. I brought it in for AC diagnostic and to fix, and for replacing the rear windshield wiper. By the end of the first day, they called and said they need to keep it overnight. Im pretty upset that its taken all day just to say they wont have it fixed or ready today or even have a diagnostic results. I asked why did it take all day to NOT complete 'diagnostic' AC issue? She couldnt really answer my question. I asked when would it be ready - tomorrow. When tomorrow? around this time (3/4pmish). Its irritating when you werent anticipating leaving your only mode of transportation over night somewhere, w/out any heads up. So its the 2nd day and its almost 5pm, no follow up again. I called and they told me they'd call me back in 10 mins with the update on my car. Its 6pm now and of course they are closed for the day. You cant even leave a vm, the box is full. So they dont care what your issue is. So now my car has been in the shop for 2 days without any courtesy of notice or status, or even an estimate of the costs. I'm not sure why they bother taking appointments because it seems it doesnt matter what time of day you bring your car in, they just let it sit! So now my husband has to take another day off work, so we can take our kid to school and back or to carry on with anywhere we need to go. there is no courtesy of notice at this Service center. They dont seem organized for intake or follow up. Even for diagnostic procedure, they cant seem to complete or have results so that you know what you'll be spending or what the damages are. Just bring your car to a mom/ pop shop and take your chances there. I've learned my lesson. Not doing this for a 3rd time.... read more
