Brought my BMW to The Bimmer Guys for a handful of things--diff input shaft seal replacement, diff fluid and engine oil change, and they also helped me order an exhaust actuator harness through them. From the start, everything was super smooth. They were great about communication--fast to respond, quick with quotes, and really clear about what needed to be done. Pricing was very fair, especially for a BMW-specialized shop. What I really appreciated, though, was that when I brought up some concerns about my car that I wasn't even sure were valid, they didn't brush me off or make me feel crazy. We have an aging x3 that we love that needs more and more attention over time. After our coverage expired, we tried a few other local supposed BMW specialists in the neighborhood, but weren't happy with the service and didn't come away with confidence in the work being done. We finally stumbled across Bimmer Guys when they were still at their previous location, and their painless and flexible communication options (we can go through website or email or text or even yelp to request work) were the first sign that we were going to be happier here. We've had to have some major work done, some of which could be pretty pricey especially for an early 2000s vehicle, but the guys will always give us a variety of options, not always pressuring us to choose the most expensive choice. They explain the problems and work required in a very understandable way, despite us not being very knowledgeable about cars. They always seem to be earnest in trying to find the best solution to our problems, explaining commonly seen issues as well as things unique to our car (sometimes due to the poor life we've given it! ). They seem very honest and hardworking and knowledgeable -- they always remember the work done in the past and make sure to build upon it or investigate any unexpected failures if we continue to see the same problems, never 'accidentally' suggesting we perform the same maintenance when unnecessary. My 2016 320i was starting to overheat on a Thursday, found The Bimmer Guys on Google and decided to drop by the next morning since it was 2 miles away from me and had wonderful reviews. Although I didn't have an appointment, Daniel was able to take me in and replace my battery (which was also due) at that moment. We then tested the water pump afterwards and Daniel informed that it needed to be replaced. Although replacing a water pump is costly, I believe this place priced it very reasonably. Great start, middle and finish. I had a terrific experience with these guys. I came here because I knew I didn't want to pay the dealer $300 to "diagnose" my dead 12v battery. I also had some regular service items that needed tending to brake flush and oil change. I booked my appointment online and had my car towed to them. Their online tool to keep me appraised of the progress, to chat with me, to get approval for Repairs, etc. was super easy to use. Daniel was very responsive to my inquiries. My Alpina B6 had some under carriage damage. Took it to BMW Fremont for quote - I thought, too expensive. Then found the Bimmer Guys on Internet, took B6 to get a quite. They did a full inspection (no cost), told AND then SHOWED me "all" the problems (includingany BMW Fremont missed), and prepared detailed estimate to fix. Expensive, but Alpina's R ALWAYS expensive. The "issues" BMW Fremont failed to disclose were of They type BMW Fremont would have "found" during their service, no doubt ranking up the bill from their original quote. I called this mechanic shop because I've seen it several times when dropping kids off and always wonder how they may be. I tried taking my vehicle there for a diagnosed since is in town, with no luck. The gentlemen who took my call advised me to go online and set an appointment even for topping off my fluids. I found this to be very inconvenient. If a light came on advising me to ad oil or coolant or brake fluids than I would not be able to take my car there for help and if I drove it it be at risk of causing damage to it. If you are having issues with your BMW, This is the place to take your car. I recently had an issue with my 2014 535i where it started to make a grinding sound from the engine. My first ever issue with this car so I took it to a certified BMW dealer thinking if anyone could tell me what it was, it would be them--big mistake. Not only did the dealer charge me $500 for the diagnostic/inspection but they weren't even able to accurately tell me what was wrong. A day later my car dies and starts kicking out a bunch of dashboard error codes. I took it to Daniel and the bimmer guys and within 30 seconds they showed me what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. The work was done in a day or so and I was back on the road.
