It is really really hard to find a mechanic you can trust... I had a leaking, damaged air conditioning part that two other places would not even touch. At my best friend's recommendation, I came to consult with Jack, and he was amazing! He was so kind, straightforward, and found a way to accurately diagnose my air conditioning problem. It was an extremely labor intensive project, but he was able to take care of me, help me with the cost of parts, and return my car to me in a reasonable turnaround time. Everything about the interaction with him was honest and professional. I will 100% be coming to Jack for all of my car maintenance from now on... and if you need to rent or buy a vehicle for any reason, he even has his own fleet on the Turo app! All i can say is do your research. Went here for my B7 service for my c250 which supposed to include an oil change, brake fluid exchange, cabin filter replacement. Prior to visiting this place i had a quote of $260 for the services mentioned above from another shop. So out of good faith and based on the reviews i still decided to go to this place. Dropped off car at 8:15 am felt good about this place. At around noon time i called them up to check if my car is ready. The guy answered oil change is done but cabin filter needs to be replaced too? So i asked them how much does it cost for the oil change only, the guy answered 260$! I said the filters are supposed to be included on the service but he insisted it will add more like 70$ on the bill which makes it 330$. At this point im telling myself okay 70$ difference is not bad considering that they are around my neighborhood. 330 pm went to pick up my car, found out that they didnt even did the brake fluid exchange and yet im paying $330 already. At this time, i knew i messed up. I wouldn't be bothered paying $330 if everything was done accordingly as recommended. And I was expecting it lower than $260 since something is not done. They gave me a quote on the brake flush for $130. So for the whole package that was included for b7 service it would have cost me $460 with them!!! $460 for a service that i was quoted for $260 by another different place. All i can say is ask around compare the prices and reviews. read more

Super friendly and honest staff. Radiator on my 04' GMC Sierra busted in morning 880 traffic. Called Jack's and they were able to get right on the diagnosis. Gave me a ride to Bart so I was back on track within an hr. Price quoted was accurate and fair. They noticed a couple of other small issues, and consulted with me(no high pressure sales) as to the most cost effective repairs-I didn't have them make all the repairs they suggested. I've been meaning to write this review for weeks: I was very happy with my experience at Jack's AutoHaus! I brought them my ancient 1998 BMW 740iL, it was loosing power when warmed up and literally came to a halt. I took it to 2 well established repair shops before bringing it to Jack's Autohaus and both shops told me to salvage it because it was old and has over 195k miles. When my sons told me about Jack, I rushed over and jack himself diagnosed a few possible root causes for my issue, none of them which was to "salvage" my vehicle. I immediately knew Jack was a skilled Master mechanic at that point and he had that BMW running like a new car shortly thereafter! Jack's team took good care of me and my sons, service is excellent and I definitely recommend Jack's AutoHaus if you're looking for good customer service, knowledgeable craftsmen and quality service. read more

Sorry to say the only thing bad about this review is the fact that I'm just getting around to enter it, it's been more than a month since we had our 2002 Ford truck repaired at Jacks! Husband thought he threw a rod, had to have the truck Towed home from Danville, that was not a fun evening! Called Joe at Jack's Autohaus the next day and we took it in. They were able to get it back to us in a couple days, turned out to just be a blown spark plug, but they got the truck back to us quick, running great and at a price that didn't break the bank either! Also while it was there they noticed some other issues with the truck and we will be taking it back there again soon to get the other recommended repairs, and in the mean time I will be advising anyone that I meet if they are in the need of an auto repair to take it to Jack's! They fixed my VW. I was very pleased. Then the dog tore the fender off my friend's Mini and she really wanted it fixed before she left for Portland. They came through for me! How rare is that sort of service and kindness? So then I started asking "Can you fix......" And with each question, I got a yes. I've found myself a mechanic! These two cars are old and paid for, it's true. But they are both gonna be classics someday, in my opinion. I love these 2 cars and want them kept running and in good shape. so far, so good. I had my car towed there today because of some damage that another shop said would be very costly and not worth the value of the vehicle. Personally, I feel the previous shop was very high priced and looking to repair more than what was needed and didn't do a very good job of relaying their concerns and why things were needed to be done the way they said. Its all suspension work, the car itself is in great shape....engine and tranny are rock solid. I will follow-up with my review on the response I receive from Jack's. I am not asking for a miracle or even a different outcome, I will just rate my next review on how it was handled. Stay tuned. Background: 07 Infinite G35 S. I smacked a curb and did some extensive damage to the underneath of the vehicle. The car has 260,000 miles so the value of the vehicle is not worth much but because of how solid the motor and transmission are, it means more to me than anyone else. I would love to be able to drive it again but if I can't, I will appreciate an honest and thorough assessment. read more

Prices are extremely high here. I got quotes on simple things like a oil change and check engine diagnostics which they charge double compared to other mechanic and lube shops. They may be good but so are other places and they charge a fraction of the cost. read more

If you're looking for a stand up company who will treat you with thorough respect (when you know nothing about how cars work but they explain very well the issues/solutions) and take great care of your automotive needs...this is the place. I've been going to them for years. They've kept my truck humming along. I have a 1995 GMC Sonoma. I love my "old" (19 year for those short on math) little truck and they never make fun of me for that. Recently, I just "felt" something was off as we planned to take it on a road trip (tbh, I usually only drive it on errands around town...it doesn't even have 60k miles). Jack said "Drop it by". It needed new front brakes, clutch work...and Jack found many other items that they fixed that made it thoroughly safe to drive up north. It hummed again. Truly, Jack is honest, and very fair in costs. I almost hate to post this as last time I dropped the GMer off, his garage was full with waiting vehicles. I brought my car in with significant front end damage and got it back looking flawless! Great, friendly customer service. The only reason for the 4 instead of five is because I was told my car would be ready in a couple days (friday) and ended up having to wait until the following weds to pick it up. I'm sure it wasn't totally within their control and things happen and parts take longer to come than expected. But I would've appreciated if the shop would have erred on the side of caution and given me a Later date than expected, with hopes to deliver sooner than that. This would have allowed me to arrange for my temporary transportation more effectively. All in all good experience and would recommend! read more
