Hadn't eaten there or ordered from there in years as the quality took a steep slide. Decided to give it a try because they're close by and time was late. Ordered the Mushroom Cheesesteak. What a pleasant surprise. Steak was tender, moist. Got the soft roll which is the perfect bread for this sandwich. Mushrooms were a little hard to find, but there were some there. I have been ordering small stromboli for a long time. its just enough for 2 people. Just got one today, I opened up the box to see if they included my side request. To my surprise when I opened the box the stromboli looked like a big burger, I asked the worker, she said we have been doing them this way, yeah right!. So now its for 1 person, same price. Headed down the shore with the grandkids for lunch in Brigantine. You can't go wrong with pizza. Really enjoyed Primo Pizza. We had a cheese pie along with a white pie. The kids were quiet and ate every slice of pizza! That says it was great! The store itself was very clean and the young lady working the counter was very nice and helpful. We found multiple long black pieces of hair cooked into the cheese of our pizza. One hair is disgusting enough, but finding pieces cooked into almost every slice is just awful. They sent us a new pizza & it wasn't bad, just check your food before you eat it !!! read more

Really great pizza, we got delivery and for pick up on vacation, and was excellent and consistent. It is cash only, which we knew because we ordered from a menu we had. Inconvenient, but worth scrounging up the change. Tastes like brick oven crust, but don't know. Kids and adults gobbled it up . . had a pepporoni, mushroom, onion combo. . .thin crust, yum! We recently moved to Brigantine, within walking of Goochie Bros. We'd heard this pizza was amazing and Yelp reviews were (at one time) raves but more recently not so great. Pizza was nothing special. Thin, sure but nothing WOW. Staff was not friendly and seemed to have better things to do. Worst? My $8 salad was a handful and a half of iceberg, some half slices of pale tomato and a huge heap of onions sprinkled with oregano (yeah, like a hoagie) on a PAPER PLATE. Looking at the menu, the 'Vegi salad' is this with cheese on it. I'll stick with Goochie's. They have some great salad options (huge servings with creative toppings), pizza by the slice is thin and tasty and staff is usually friendly. read more

Take-out sucks, I got cheese fries and sat inside and they were good- a little soggy but for the price and a quick bite the food is fine. What they do not tell you either when you call to place your order or place it in person is they accept one form of payment CASH! They do have their own money access machine for $1.50 ... Oh and after you attempt to withdrawn cash and it tells you it is "out of cash" they will inform you to go to Wawa to get the cash and they will just put your pizza right over here for when you get back. I was not the only person to have such a dilemma as 4 others share in the cash scramble with me. Now I don't object to cash what I object to is not being told when I called in my order or not having a sign on the door or on the wall. I would have left earlier to pick up my order and taken cash with me instead of my lowly credit card at the beach! The staff response to the machine was a pleasant laugh and referral to Wawa. When I complained it is not disclosed the reply was well we always only accepted cash... Oh we'll then I guess It was all my fault for not knowing they only accepted cash and not knowing the money access machine was not going to have any cash! To the curious employee asking if I was going to go to Wawa and then come back for my order.... NO!, And I won' be back any other time... I'd choose 0 stars if possible... This is the worst pizza we have ever eaten in our lives, and we have eaten a LOT of pizza. Undercooked bread, barely there sauce, bland cheese and flavorless toppings. There are few ways you can mess up a pizza and Primos has figured out how. Cardboard with ketchup on top would have been better. If you're going to eat in, don't forget to bring your own broom for the floors, cleaner for the tables and fly swatter for the flies. We are truly disgusted by the food and service here, and will never be going back. Take your $20 and go spend it anywhere else. read more

Went there for lunch on the 20th of Sept, of this year. My wife and I ordered a chicken cheese steak and fries, to share. We ordered it plain with sweet peppers on the side. When it arrived at the table I seriously thought that they brought us an empty roll. When we opened it, there was barely enough chicken to fill half of the roll they gave us. When our waitress came back with our drinks, I sarcastically asked, "is there a chicken shortage on the island?". She told us that they have a pre-measured amount of meat that they use on each sandwich and that they rely on people ordering other condiments, such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, peppers, etc. in order to give the appearance that the sandwich is actually full. I said, well then that would be a chicken cheese steak hoagie...... and thats not what we ordered. Bottom line, not good value for the money. Only thing preventing a one star rating was the portion and quality of the fries. read more

The price point is nice but the pizza is average. I had the bbq chicken pizza and a plain slice with a medium soda. It was $7.50. The line moved quickly and my pizza came even quicker. The bbq chicken slice was average. The regular slice was actually pretty tasty. The seats are crusty dusty and full of crumbs. Service was just okay. We've been buying pizza here for many years. Pizza is good, as are most items. However, the people working the phone and the counter are basically flat liners, that seem to be more bored and angry than happy to see you. The phone is answered with a terse "pickup or delivery" ... if they even answer. This week I tried to call in an order and the phone was busy for over 30 minutes. We needed pizza en route to one of the Halloween Phish shows at Boardwalk Hall. The selection was sparse, We had a pepperoni and a white slice. As far as NJ pizza goes it was ok, nothing great but it did the job. We were happy that they were even open considering it was off season in Brigantine. I'd like to try again in the summer before settling 100% on my review stars. read more

It's a small place but the pizza is great! We also loved the cheese fries. It's a perfect place to stop in, very kid friendly. Just remember it's small so seats may be limited during lunch time. read more

In my opinion, best pizza on the island! I dinged them one star for only accepting cash. Who does that? At least get square pay or something like that, it's 2014! In any case, the pizza is great but they don't have a huge selection of other stuff, but that's ok, pick one thing and do it well. The pizza is crispy and fairly thin crusted and their pizza sauce is top notch. Plain is just a s good as anything else but I usually get sausage and banana peppers or something like that. They also sent a coupon for a free pizza to everyone in the winter... that was awesome! With 2 toppings, I got a whole pizza for less than $5. read more

Stopped in with the family ,ordered a large pepperoni pizza and large curly cheese fries . Fries came out first, so over cooked that they were crispier then potato chips, then out came the pizza. It's was drenched so much with grease that it took approximately 20-25 napkins to mop it up before it could be handled, then we bite into it, it had absolutely no flavor at all except for the remaining grease residue , had to dump a heavy coating of Parmesan cheese and garlic powder just to make it palatable.......................unfortunately your stuck on the Brigintine island with not much else there.................id rather eat a WAWA hoagie read more

And I have eaten here many times and can tell you first hand everything I have tried is delicious! (The zippoli's are amazing!) The people who work there are always so kind and helpful even when they are slammed with orders and deliveries! Methinks there is something wrong with Primo pizza, could it be because of the new name or ownership, or the place just stinks. I've gone to primo for about 8 years now when I stay on the island . The food, whether pizza or apps were very good , and I would always come back, like I did tonight ( 9/2/14) . Wow, what a mistake. I ordered a white pie, with extras. I got it home, and have to say, by far it was the absolute worse pie I've ever eaten. We each had one slice and gave the rest to our dogs. There is no excuse for serving crap food like this. We visited this pizzeria during a class trip. Joe was incredibly friendly and accommodating to our group. He opened early, gave us a great rate on pizza/soda combos, and treated our group with a big smile. The food tasted great and was ready so fast! Some of our students have special needs and often times we encounter businesses whose employees stare or just aren't happy to have us, but not here. This had to be the friendliest place we have visited and we can't wait to come back! It was clean, too! read more
