One of the Worst Retail Experiences - Misleading Pricing & Rude Service…read more Went to Goman Mississauga to buy an LG range (LSIL6334XE). Their big sign says "We match prices." Reality: they don't. I showed the salesperson Goman's own website listing the model for $1,999. Instead of honoring it, he claimed it was an "old model," pushed a pricier one, and said mine "might not be in stock." Only when I was about to leave did he check--and suddenly there was a shipment coming. When he finally started the order, he quoted $2,100. I showed him the exact Goman web page again. He said he "couldn't find it," and I literally had to guide him through their own website. After talking to the manager, he agreed to match the $1,999. Then I showed him Home Depot's $1,895 price. His response: "Grab it." Incredibly rude and unprofessional. Told the manager. He brushed it off as a "wrong model" mistake--completely false, since the salesperson had already confirmed the correct model. Manager said they'd match Home Depot, but wanted $199 + tax for delivery/removal, which Home Depot includes. I walked out and bought it at Home Depot. Misleading price-match promise, evasive behaviour, and disrespectful service. Definitely not going back.

Bought a Kobe Range Hood 14 years ago after much research both on product and company…read more ONE of the halogen bulbs just burnt out 14 years later. As this hood has no name on it AND I had no paperwork after all these years, I took a chance on calling them. Well, I spoke to Theresa at Goemans. She asked for my phone number and.....bingo. She checked her computer, found my sales invoice and forwarded it to me. With that info, I was able to download a manual and determine both how to change the bulb and what bulb was needed. New bulb has now been installed and all is working as expected. After sale customer service? 10/10 so thank you !

I visited BBQ's Galore in the spring to ask about repairing a Napoleon fireplace remote control…read more Unfortunately they did not carry my particular model but the sales staff mentioned that Napoleon's VP of marketing, Garry Scott, was in the store at the moment. Garry took my information, along with pictures of the unit and asked that I contact their Barrie office the next business day. When I contacted them, the service representative had already processed the delivery of a new remote unit at no cost! I received the new unit and easily installed it by the end of that week. Amazing service and helpfulness by both Barbeques Galore and Garry Scott of Napoleon. Thank you to both! You have earned my future business.

I purchased a Kamado Joe and a DCS Series 9 grill. It was delivered without the rotisserie mount…read morekit -a key selling feature - rotisserie is useless without it. SIX WEEKS of back and forth - with Kent from Barbecues Galore being more reactive than proactive (If I did not initiate an email or call, he was not involved). I finally got a call from a '3rd party' asking me to provide the part number of the items that needed to be ordered - six weeks after delivery. How is the onus on the customer to know the part numbers of the missing grill components? I reached out to Kent again - no reply, no follow-up that was about 2 weeks ago. At this point, I realized I was dealing with a company that isn't invested in customer satisfaction post-delivery. I called DCS directly in the US, explained my situation - escalated the lack of support from the unresponsive dealer. Finally, I got the parts shipped from Lancaster, TX, in 48 hours by FedEx. It took me two days to get a part Barbecues Galore declined to take ownership of their delivery issues and kept the customer in limbo for seven weeks. This has by far been the worst customer support experience I have ever encountered.

I bought their most expensive washer and dryer set, 4 year warranty plan, set of hoses, delivery…read moreand installation from half-lethargic sales guy, accompanied by his manager. To my surprise the paid "installation" did not include "disconnect" - hoses off old appliances (as simple as it could be for professionals). Noone in the store mentioned such a requirement during sale transaction, so that I need to provision a handyman to be prepared before the delivery and installation. Since delivery guys categorically refused to disconnect old washer, referring to "policy", and I didn't want to mess up with plumbing work, the process stuck. Several hours later, I've got a voicemail from sales guy, mumbling that I have to disconnect old appliances, probably to cover his back. I called to the store to find some resolution, but Vladimir - the store manager decided to distance from the issue, saying "he told me about that three times", meaning it's my fault and I have to deal with it on my own. He also said that cancellation of sale will result in additional charges. The sale transaction was ok, the post-sale process sucks big time. If you are on the market for new washer and dryer, you'll be better off with Goemans Appliances that is just next door or Faulkners Appliance, who provide better service for a flat fee (delivery, disconnect of old appliance, installation of new appliances, removal of old appliances).

Blomberg dishwasher delivered to me damaged. I was offered a $50rebate which I accepted provided…read morethe dishwasher was in working order. I also bought washer/dryer from this store. The first time I ran the dishwasher it was making a noise which I recorded and also contacted the store. I was instructed to call the manufacturer directly and make arrangements for the service to come out which I had to chase because nobody was calling me back. Service came two weeks later to inform me that the machine is damaged and cannot be repaired because of the excessive damage done at the store level. Now I'm being told that I have to be out of pocket again to uninstall and reinstall the dishwasher. To appease me I am told that there is a cheque in the mail for $50.00. I still don't have a replacement This company is not interested in resolving issues as indicated below. I received a call from T**** who proceeded to call me a liar that "it does not cost $180 to uninstall and reinstall a dishwasher". I explained that plumbers are $80 an hour and it took them two hours to do this. Her response was "you over paid and my boyfriend can hook one up in 15 minutes". I told her I had the invoice which does not include the cost to hook up the original damaged dishwasher. The delivery person they have is the only person who went to bat for me and he knew that I took the damaged dishwasher in good faith and signed off that I was only accepting it provided it was in working order. According to T**** "he is JUST a delivery person he has no say as to the outcome of anything". I called GM once again no response. DISCUSSED!! COST TO HOOK UP ORIGINAL DAMAGED DISHWASHER ELECTRICIAN $65.00 PLUMBER $80.00. COST TO UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL REPLACEMENT PLUMBER $184.00. TOTAL COST FOR CORBEIL'S SCREW UP $329.00 NO REBATE AND A CHEQUE FOR $50.00 TO INSTALL THE REPLACEMENT
